Shane Warne Trolled For Tagging Many But Not Sourav Ganguly To Ask About IPL Postponement
Many sporting events such as NBA, ATP Tour, Road Safety World Series, etc. around the world are either getting cancelled or postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and Indian Premier League (IPL) is also one of them. The thirteenth edition of IPL was scheduled to commence from March 29 but now it has been postponed till 15 April 2020. This big decision was taken recently in the meeting which was attended by the top officials of BCCI including the President Sourav Ganguly.
Earlier, it was speculated that IPL 2020 will be a TV-only event and it will be played in empty stadiums but the IPL franchises were not ready to go ahead without the foreign players. No foreign national can arrive in India as of now as the Indian government has cancelled the visas of foreign nationals till 15th April 2020. This is certainly a big blow for the cricket fans all over the world but at present, keeping everyone safe from coronavirus is a bigger concern.
Shane Warne, the former Australian cricketer, also got to hear about the latest development regarding IPL 2020 and he took to the micro-blogging site Twitter in order to confirm the news. The former skipper of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals tagged many cricketers, such as Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag, Ricky Ponting, and many more along with the Twitter handles of RR, IPL and BCCI.
Shane Warne’s tweet read, “Another question followers as I just received a very interesting message !!!! Is it true the @BCCI are postponing the @IPL @imVkohli @MichaelVaughan @KP24 @virendersehwag @rajasthanroyals @StarSportsIndia @ajinkyarahane88 @Edged_and_taken @imkuldeep18 @BCCIdomestic @RickyPonting”

As soon as Shane Warne made this tweet, Indian Twitterati started trolling him for the fact that he tagged so many people but didn’t ask this question to the person who actually has the power to take all the decisions regarding IPL. We are talking about the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.
On the other hand, some Twitter users slammed Shane Warne for not talking about sporting events which also got cancelled but being worried for cash-rich league IPL.
Here are some of the selected tweets:

Shane Warne was the captain of Rajasthan Royals which won the first edition of IPL in 2008. However, RR has not been able to repeat its success till now and its performances in the recent past have been quite disappointing.
What do you have to say about Shane Warne’s tweet?
