The decreasing value of the Indian currency in comparison to the US Dollar is a matter of concern for the Indian economy and the opposition parties are leaving no chance to question the Indian government in this regard.

While the members of the opposition parties are shouting at the top of their voices that the Indian Rupee has collapsed, the country’s finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is of the opinion that there is nothing to be worried as the Indian Rupee has not collapsed, it is just finding its natural course.

While speaking in the Rajya Sabha, she says that though there have been fluctuations against the US Dollar, the Indian Rupee has stood its ground in a better manner than the currencies of other countries. Nirmala Sitharaman addresses concerns of the members in relation to the decreasing value of the Rupee as she asks them to study and understand the context and tells them to compare the Indian Rupee with other currencies as well.

She adds that if Rupee is compared to other currencies, you will see that it has appreciated. She also says that the recent decisions taken by the US Fed are responsible for the current situation. The finance minister goes on to say that the Reserve Bank of India is monitoring on a regular basis and it intervenes only when there is volatility but RBI’s interventions are not for the purpose of fixing value of the Indian rupee because it has to find its natural course.

On the matter of decreasing foreign reserves, she stated that on July 22, India had foreign reserves of $571.56 billion which is not a small amount and the country is in a comfortable position.

Rohit Sharma vs Virat Kohli debate is something which has become pretty common on social media and recently a top official of the BCCI also opened up on this matter.

Arun Dhumal, the BCCI treasurer, has talked on this matter in an interview. He says that the debate on which of the two is the better batter has emerged from public domain and social media networks. As per him, the BCCI doesn’t differentiate between these two or any other cricketer.

Arun Dhumal says that they don’t think about it and it is the passion and love of fans which make them enter this debate. He adds that such things happen when a person is attached with an emotion and they speak their heart out on the social media networks for the simple reason that there is no restriction but sometimes it amplifies to such a level that people start believing it is true.

Dhumal goes on to say that such things have happened in the past as well; for example – between Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar and then between Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly.

They both hold fantastic individual records but batting together also they have performed pretty well.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have batted together 82 times and have scored around 5000 runs which include 15 fifty and 18 century partnerships. They have crossed the 200 runs mark five times and the highest is 246 runs.

While Rohit Sharma is leading team India in the ongoing 5-match T20I series against West Indies, Virat Kohli has been rested from the West Indies and Zimbabwe tour; most probably he will be available for the Asia Cup 2022.

From Sweeper To SBI Asst. General Manager, Pratiksha Tondwalkar Has Proved Nothing Is Impossible

We may prefer or love to watch biopics or read biographies/autobiographies of great personalities in order to learn from them and enhance ourselves but the reality is that there are many inspirational examples living around us whom we see in our daily lives.

Pratiksha Tondwalkar is one such person who is an inspiration for many of us because whatever she has achieved in her life is the result of her strong will, dedication, determination, hard work and attitude of never giving up. In the present times, she is working as an Assistant General Manager in the State Bank of India but there was a time when she used to work as a sweeper in an SBI branch.

Pratiksha was born in Pune to a poor family and she wasn’t able to complete her studies because of monetary reasons. She was married at the age of 16 to Sadashiv Kadu who used to work as a bookbinder in an SBI branch, Mumbai. A year later, she gave birth to a son and the couple decided to visit their native village in order to thank the God; however, this journey changed Pratiksha’s life completely as they met an accident and her husband lost his life. She was left with her son to take care of, when she visited the SBI branch for collecting the remaining dues, she asked the officials to help her in getting a job as she needed one to survive despite the fact that she was not eligible.

Somehow she got a part-time job of a sweeper in that branch, she used to earn Rs. 60-65/ month to sweep the complete premises, clean the washroom and dust the furniture but while seeing people working at the desk, she used to think that this was what she wanted for herself.

She decided to sit for the class 10 exam and the good thing was that her relatives and bank staff supported her. While relatives helped her by arranging for books, the bank officials helped her in filling the forms and also gave her leave for a month for studying. She scored 60 percent in 10th standard but she needed to clear the class 12th exam as well for the purpose of getting a job in bank. She also cleared class 12 examinations and then graduated in 1995 in psychology.

Pratiksha got married for the second time to a person named Pramod Tondwalkar who was employed as a bank messenger and it was Pramod who encouraged Pratiksha to give bank exams. In 2004, she was promoted to the post of Trainee officer and after climbing the stairs of success slowly and steadily, now she has been promoted to the post of Assistant General Manager.

Pratiksha who has two kids with Pramod says that whenever she looks at her journey, it all seems impossible to her but she is happy that she has succeeded.

She is certainly an inspiration as Booker T. Washington has said, “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.”

Chennai Super Kings is the second most successful franchise of the IPL as it has won the title four times under the leadership of MS Dhoni but its last season (IPL 2022) was quite disappointing as it not only performed badly on the field but many controversies were created related to its captaincy saga.

Just before the tournament, Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as the new skipper of CSK but after Jadeja’s poor outing with the bat and ball and successive defeats of the team, the Indian all-rounder gave up the captaincy and MS Dhoni once again took the charge of the team. Later on, Ravindra Jadeja suffered an injury and he was ruled out of the IPL2022 but it started the speculation that things were not good between the Chennai franchise and Ravindra Jadeja.

Some other incidents also happened after the IPL 2022 which further fuelled these speculations, for example, Ravindra Jadeja deleted all the posts related to CSK of the past two seasons from his Instagram account. That’s not all as in one of the press conferences, he dodged the question related to CSK by saying that when a player plays for India, he doesn’t think anything else and now he has deleted a comment which he made on the post made by CSK regarding his 10 yrs connection with the franchise.

On 4th Feb 2022, CSK posted two photos of Ravindra Jadeja in yellow, the first one was from 2012 and the other was from 2022 and it read, “10 years of Super Jaddu”.

In response, Jadeja made a comment, “10 more to go” but now he has deleted the comment which has further strengthened the rumours that things are not going good between the star cricketer and CSK and there is a possibility that they both may part their ways before the IPL 2023.

Presently, Ravindra Jadeja is a part of the Indian squad which is playing 5-match T20I series against West Indies. India is leading by 2-1 in the series and the fourth T20I will be played tomorrow at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida, USA.

The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli enjoys a huge fan following and his fans don’t like it if they feel that something wrong is happening with their favourite cricketer. Virat was India’s captain in all the three formats for quite a long time until he decided to leave captaincy of the T20 team after the ICC T20I World Cup 2021. Though he desired to lead the squad in ODIs and test matches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to replace Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as the new skipper of the ODI as well as T20I team. There was a huge uproar as fans thought that one of the greatest players and captains had been mistreated by BCCI. Later on, Virat Kohli also gave up captaincy in test matches after India lost the test series to South Africa.

While many feel that the tussle between BCCI (Sourav Ganguly) and Virat Kohli is also one of the reasons behind his poor form as it may have had affected him mentally, recently the BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal has talked on this matter in an interview.

Arun Dhumal states that as far as Virat Kohli is concerned, he is a not a simple cricketer, he is a great player and he has contributed immensely towards the Indian cricket so such discussions which try to portray that the board is playing games against Virat Kohli doesn’t affect them at all. He adds that they all want Virat Kohli to return in form soon but his selection in the team completely depends on the selectors.

Talking in regard to the captaincy saga, Arun Dhumal said that it was totally his decision and it is quite possible that a person may want to implement the decision after the T20 world Cup but it was completely his choice and BCCI respected it. Arun Dhumal further says that Virat Kohli has given so much to the Indian cricket that he is respected by everyone in the board and all of them would love to see him in action on the ground.

It won’t be wrong to say that the former Indian cricket team skipper is going through the toughest phase of his career as he hasn’t scored a century in the last three years across any format. Recently, he touched new lows when he got out for golden ducks three times in the IPL 2022 and after that, he was not even able to cross the 20 runs mark in his last five innings for the first time in his career.

Virat Kohli has been rested for the West Indies tour and he is also not a part of the Indian team which will be going on the Zimbabwe tour. However, the former RCB skipper has informed the selectors that he will be available for the Asia Cup 2022 which is going to start from Aug 27.

The Indian cricket team took a lead of 2-1 in the ongoing 5-match T20I series after defeating West Indies in the 3rd T20I of the series which was played at the Warner Park stadium. The hero of this match was India’s Suryakumar Yadav who smashed a blistering knock of 76 runs in 44 balls and his innings included 8 fours & 4 sixes. The toss was won by the visitors and they put the hosts to bat first. WI put up a total of 164/5 on the scoreboard with the help of a brilliant knock of Kyle Mayers (73 runs, 50 balls, 8 fours & 4 sixes).

In reply, India lost skipper Rohit Sharma (11 runs, 5 balls, 1 four & 1 six) but Suryakumar Yadav built the platform for India’s win by playing a superb knock. Moreover later on, Shreyas Iyer (24 runs, 27 balls, 2 fours) and Rishabh Pant (33*, 26 balls, 3 fours & 1 six) also contributed well and ensured that their team went home as winners.

SKY was adjudged as the Player of the Match and after the game, he was interviewed by his teammate Ishan Kishan who asked about the absence of Devisha Shetty (Suryakumar Yadav’s wife) from the stadium. Usually, Devisha makes a point to watch SKY’s batting whenever he plays but she was not present in the 3rd T20I of the series and it can be said that in two instances when she was not around, Suryakumar Yadav performed superbly.

The first instance is from the 3rd T20I of India vs England T20I series in which SKY scored a century and the second instance is of the recently played 3rd T20I which India played against West Indies.

When SKY was asked to comment on Devisha’s absence, he tried to prove that he was saying the truth by mentioning that a person who lies stammers but he was not stammering so he would say that again what he spoke in the dug-out. According to SKY, it is not necessary that a partner is in the ground but what matters the most is the fact that she is with you. He adds that his wife is in this same country and he also has a tattoo on his body and she is very close to his heart, so it really doesn’t matter whether she is present in the stadium or not, she will still channel her power to him.

As the interview ended, Ishan Kishan decided to have some fun as he looked in the camera and gave a message to Devisha. He said, “Devisha Bhabhi, please keep paying our room bills, and in the coming matches, make sure your attendance is late.”

Suryakumar Yadav and Devisha Shetty knew each other since 2012 and it was in the year 2016 that the couple got married.

Though this series will end after two matches, there is a lot of cricket coming up for the Indian cricket fans as India will be touring Zimbabwe where it will be playing 3-match ODI bilateral series starting 18 August, 2022.

The real excitement will begin after the Zimbabwe tour as the Asia Cup 2022 is going to start from Aug 27, 2022, with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan clashing in the tournament opener. The tournament is being hosted by Sri Lanka in United Arab Emirates and India will start its campaign on August 28 against its arch-rival Pakistan.

India’s rivalry with Pakistan on the cricket field is known to the whole world and whenever these two teams clash against each other, there is a lot of excitement, exhilaration and thrill among fans from both the sides. Both the countries haven’t played any bilateral series due to tension in their political relations but they certainly play against each other in international tournaments. Last time India and Pakistan played against each other was in the T20 World Cup 2021 in which Pakistan defeated Virat Kohli led team.

Yesterday, the BCCI secretary Jay Shah tweeted the complete schedule of the Asia Cup with the caption, “The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.”

As soon as schedule of the Asia Cup was posted by Jay Shah, Twitter users got super active and it won’t be wrong to say that the IPL team Rajasthan Royals and former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer led from the front in this game.

The Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is quite active on social media, especially on Instagram where he regularly posts his videos and photos. If you remember, just around the IPL 2022, Yuzi hacked the official handle of RR by taking the password from RR CEO Jake Lush McCrum and now the RR admin has returned the favor by hacking Chahal’s account. RR took to its official Twitter handle and posted a hacked photo of the Indian cricketer’s messages which were sent to him on Instagram.

Now a Twitter user has shared the photo of shorts (or should we say underwear?) priced at Rs. 15K approx. These shorts are pretty similar to what Indian men used to wear in old times and they were purchased at very low price in comparison to what the company has quoted. In fact, even if today we have to purchase such shorts, then also we can get them at a very cheap rate from the market in comparison to what the company is demanding.
