Pak Cricket Player Kamran Akmal Responded On Being Trolled For His Poor English
Pakistan has produced some really great cricketers such as Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Shoaib Akhtar, etc and there are some cricketers in the present team as well who have proved their worth and can be categorised among the best players of the world. However, there is one thing which is common among the majority of the Pakistani cricketers, i.e., their inability to speak properly in the English language.
In fact, several jokes have been made on Pakistani cricketers because of the problems that they face while speaking in English, especially during the post-match presentations. The reason behind it is that many of the Pak players are from rural background and they are not well-educated.
Kamran Akmal is also one of those players who find it very difficult to communicate in English and in the beginning of his career, he used to take the services of translator for answering the questions during the presentations.
The wicket-keeper batsman is not part of the Pakistani team at the moment and he has been quite vocal about getting ignored by the selectors repeatedly. He alleges that the selectors are ignoring him completely as far as giving another chance to senior players is concerned as they have called back Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Shoaib Malik and his brother Umar Akmal as well but they are not calling him back.
Recently, Kamran whose mother tongue is Urdu was asked a question by a fan regarding his problem of speaking in English and his answer was quite simple and clear.
This is what the fan asked, “Why people make fun on your English?”

In his reply, Kamran wrote that it doesn’t affect him as English is not his mother tongue. His tweet read, “It’s ok English is not our mother language”.

There is nothing wrong if a person doesn’t know a foreign language but it is also true that English is a pretty important language in Pakistan as well and as Kamran is an international player, there is nothing wrong in working a little hard for the English language. What do you think?
