Everything seems to be going in favour of Indian cricketer KL Rahul as of now; he is batting brilliantly and also keeping the wickets if asked by the captain in a good manner. Not just this, he has also been appointed as the captain of his IPL team Kings XI Punjab.

However, there was a time when nothing right was happening for him, especially after the controversial episode of the talk show Koffee With Karan was aired on TV in which KL Rahul appeared with his teammate Hardik Pandya. Some derogatory comments for women were made by the cricketers in the show because of which they both were suspended by BCCI and called back from the tour of Australia.

KL Rahul has opened up about that unpleasant incident of his life and says that he was not able to believe the statements like “time will heal” or “everything happens for the best” at that time. Talking about those times, Rahul said that he was already worried because of not being able to perform in Australia and after this episode, he got frustrated. His parents were also worried because they also had to think from the point of view of the society.

As per him, he literally sulked and there was nothing that he wanted to do at that time. What helped him in forgetting everything was training, cricket and game of golf. However, he admitted that he needed a hard push in life in order to realise his aim.

It made him realise that it is cricket only in which he is good and he needs to give everything for it. He said that the incident turned him into a stronger and disciplined person as well as made him focused towards cricket.

The Karnataka cricketer is performing really well and has played an important role in the series win of India in the T20I series against New Zealand. India has already won the series by 4-0 and will definitely be hoping to clean sweep the series.
