Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman opened up about the automobile industry crisis. One of the biggest industries of the nation that employs more than 3.5 crore people is going through a rough time. Sales of automobiles are going down and hundreds of jobs along with the companies are getting affected.

During the time of this crisis, Nirmala Sitharaman broke her vow of silence and blamed “the mindset of millennials” for it. She has been quoted as saying, “Automobile sector, in particular, has been affected by several things. These include BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) movement, the registration fee issue that has been deferred till June and the mindset of millennials, who are now preferring not to commit EMIs to buy automobiles but prefer to use Ola or Uber or take the metro.”

The Finance Minister’s statement didn’t go down well with the desi twitter and users slammed her for her rubbish logic. People sarcastically replied to her with a hashtag #BoycottMillennials.
