“He Has Already Played A Few Pranks On Me,” Glenn Maxwell Talks About His Bond With Chahal
Glenn Maxwell, the Australian cricketer must be quite happy as his start in the IPL 2021 for Royal Challengers Bangalore was pretty decent. He is undoubtedly one of the costliest cricketers of the IPL 2021 as RCB purchased him for a huge amount of Rs. 14.25 crore in the auctions and he has been slammed for his poor performances in the tournament in recent past. Glenn Maxwell was released by Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab) ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions after his dismal show in the IPL 2020.
Even before being bought by RCB, Maxwell had expressed his desire of playing with AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli as he admires both of them, so now the RCB fans will hope to see Maxwell playing an important role in making his team win their first IPL title. There is one more RCB player with whom Glenn Maxwell shares a good bond and that cricketer is Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who is also known for his funny nature and good sense of humour.
During an interview, Maxwell talked about his friendship with the Indian spinner Yuzi, saying that he was looking forward to play with his little friend and also revealed that Chahal had already played some pranks on him. He added that they both have been good friends for a long time now as they used to play for Mumbai Indians in 2013 and since then, they have been pretty close to each other.
He also says that the feeling is the same every time they played against each other and big hug is a must before the game. Maxwell says that they always like to have fun and keep a smile on their faces. He adds that it is quite nice to play against competitive players and try to be a winner but still it can be fun and at the same time you can show the fans that you are enjoying.
RCB will play its next match on Wednesday against Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
