The coronavirus pandemic has made many cricketers social media savvy as nobody is allowed to go out of their house in the lockdown period and cricket players certainly don’t have the option of working from home. Many cricketers are using social media networks in order to spread awareness about coronavirus and requesting their fans not to go out as staying at home is the best option to be safe from COVID-19. Some players are having live Instagram sessions with other cricketers while few others are spending time by interacting with their fans.

Some time ago, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer conducted a Q&A session on Twitter and now on Saturday, the former opener revealed the name of the players who have made to his list of Mumbai playing eleven since 1970 whereas the skipper of the team is Sunil Gavaskar. Wasim chose Sunil Gavaskar and Rohit Sharma for opening the innings while Dilip Vengsarkar and Sachin Tendulkar were in the middle order. Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan and Vinod Kambli were also among the cricketers who made it in Wasim Jaffer’s Mumbai playing XI. He posted the list on the micro-blogging site Twitter and asked netizens about their opinion.

Check out his tweet:

As Jaffer made this tweet, many cricket fans were surprised to see that he has not included his own name despite the fact he has scored most runs in the domestic cricket. Wasim Jaffer played for Mumbai for majority part of his career before shifting to Vidarbha and some fans also raised the point that he has not included the name of Amol Mazumdar as well. Amol also played most for Mumbai and before Wasim Jaffer, it was Amol who held the record for scoring most runs in Ranji Trophy.

The Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also noticed the tweet and expressed his sense of surprise over Wasim excluding himself. He tweeted, “Are you serious?? Where is your name Wasim bhai??”

Wasim also responded, saying that he can’t select himself. Here’s what his tweet read, “Can’t select myself Ash” with a wink emoji.

Some fans also raised the point that Wasim hasn’t included Sandeep Patil who had a wonderful record for Mumbai and he was also a part of the World Cup winning team of 1983.

Is it a perfect playing eleven for Mumbai according to you?
