Cricket can easily be classified as the most watched and most loved sport of India and what makes it more special is the fact that we have won ODI World Cup two times and T20 World Cup once.

India won its first ODI World Cup in the year 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev and after that, it took 28 years for India to win the World Cup for the second time, i.e., in 2011 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. The 2011 final was played against Sri Lanka and the winning shot played by MSD is still pretty much alive in the mind and hearts of Indian cricket fans.

Dhoni hit a sixer on the delivery bowled by Nuwan Kulasekara and ensured that India would lift the trophy. At that time, Ravi Shastri was in the commentary box; he praised Dhoni for finishing in style, saying that India had lifted the World Cup after 28 years and the Indian skipper had been fantastic throughout the finals. The words spoken by Ravi Shastri had summed up the feelings of almost of every cricket loving Indian as he was absolutely correct.

Recently Dhoni completed his 15 years in the International cricket and while #15yearsofMSD was trending on the micro-blogging site Twitter, a user asked former cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra about his favourite moment on which he would have liked to do commentary in his style.

Aakash Chopra’s favourite moment was the winning shot of MSD in 2011 World Cup final and he revealed how he would have done commentary at that moment. He tweeted,

“I wasn’t on commentary when Dhoni sealed it with a six. 2nd April 2011. I would’ve gone something like—धोनी का बल्ला घूमा…इस बार सिर्फ़ वानखेड़े नहीं पूरा देश झूमा। A night to remember. A player to cherish. #15yearsOFMSD”

Aakash’s choice of words didn’t go well with Twitterati and they started trolling him. The majority was happy that Aakash Chopra was not in the commentary box at that time. Here are some of the selected tweets:
