This Japanese Man Isolated Himself For Over A Decade Even Before COVID-19 Virus, See Why

Quarantine or self-isolation has become quite common in the times of the coronavirus pandemic in order to stop the spread of the lethal COVID-19 virus but you will be shocked to know that home-isolation is not new for the Japanese people. As per a report, as of now there are nearly 1 million Japanese people who are living in home-isolation and they are known as “hikikomori”. The health ministry of Japan has defined it as a condition in which the affected person chooses to live in isolation at his home for a period of minimum six months.

We are going to tell you about one such person named Nito Souji who is living the life of a hikikomori for the last 10 years and he goes out of his house once in a couple of months for getting haircut. Nito Souji is a professional solo indie game developer and an artist who has done his graduation from Tokyo University but returned to his hometown after he was not able to get a proper job.

Initially Nito Souji wanted to live as a hikikomori for a period of 3 years and wanted to practice drawing and make dо̄jinshi as well as self-published comics till the time he is financially well-off. However, now he lives in the city of Kobe in an apartment which is owned by his aunt. He has minimal contact with the outside world and all the necessary items are delivered to his house.

During an interview, Nito Souji shares his daily routine as he tells that he usually wakes up at 11 am after which he has his breakfast and then he listens to news. Subsequently, he devotes almost an hour in replying to important emails and messages and then he works on his game development project. He gets back to work soon after lunch and for 20 minutes in the evening, he does work out. After his dinner, he works again and sleeps by 4 am in the morning.

Nito Souji has been learning English since 2015 and was also working on a game which was based on his own experiences. The game titled as Pull Stay was launched in the month of October last year and Nito Souji informed his followers with a tweet and a video clip of the game.

He captioned it as, “Pull Stay #Kickstarter is launched NOW! ヽ(≧∀≦)ノ This game reflects my last 10 years as a shut-in aka Hikikomori Back the game and make the world weirder! https://ift.tt/3dp2h4y All of your love, Likes, Retweets are super appreciated! #indiegame #gamedev #UE4”

Man Shares How Parents Should Raise Sons In A Twitter Thread & It’s Simply Bang On

The gender discrimination has been taking place in our society since ages and men have always been considered as superior to women. This trend is followed at every place, in every industry but the good part is that things are changing slowly for better. However, it will still take a lot of time to bring a big change in the mentality of people.

Representational Image

Surprisingly, the gender inequality is something which starts from our houses where parents are biased towards their son and make him feel as if he is entitled to make his mother and sister work for him rather than doing even simple tasks at home, such as serving food, drinking water, keeping plates in kitchen after dinner, ironing his clothes, etc.

Parents need to change the style of bringing up their son and make their son and daughter feel equal to each other rather than giving preferential treatment to their son. In this manner, the son will be trained to treat all the women equally and it will also reduce the cases of domestic violence considerably as the husband will be more cooperative with his wife rather than being authoritative.

A Twitter user Mirza Arif Beg has choosen to talk about this important topic and he has come up with points which parents should teach their son from the beginning to make him a better human so that the world becomes a better place for women who have been bearing the cruelty or ill-treatment of men for many years now.

Representational Image

Mirza has asked parents to make their son do tasks which are usually considered the duties of women or girls, such as sending them to kitchen for bringing food instead of serving them at the dining table and so on.

In a series of tweets, Mirza Arif Beg wrote, “Boys should be taught from a young age that they can’t throw tantrums at their mother if and/or when she cooks something they don’t like. Their entitlement begins right here and evolves into misbehaviour everywhere. It should be nipped in the bud. This is, of course, only one of the numerous things to be taken care of from the very beginning. Make them do things that are conventionally considered ‘feminine’. Make them go to the kitchen, don’t serve them food at the dining table, just don’t let them feel that women of the house are there only to serve them. The moment they get comfortable, women are doomed.”

Here are the tweets posted by Mirza Arif Beg:

Prashant Bhushan Asks Not To Take COVID Vaccine & Calls It More Harmful Than Virus, Gets Slammed

The situation of the coronavirus pandemic in India is now under control as the number of COVID-19 positive patients is decreasing day by day and majority of the Indian states have either lifted the lockdown or eased the restrictions to a great extent. There is no denying the fact that the second wave of the lethal virus hit the country pretty hard and it was more harmful than the first one.

The medical experts have made it clear that even if the cases are going down, people should not stop following the COVID-19 safety guidelines such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, etc. Moreover, the Indian government has been emphasizing heavily on the vaccination because it is the only way to save oneself from COVID-19.  The government has been carrying on with a large scale drive to get people vaccinated and plans to have the whole nation vaccinated by the year end.

However, there are many people who are spreading misinformation about the vaccine and vaccination on the social media networks because of which people are getting doubtful about getting vaccinated.

Recently, the famous lawyer Prashant Bhushan took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted the screenshot of a news published in a newspaper with the caption, “No one from govt has come to visit us or order an enquiry into my wife’s d*ath. I still curse myself for persuading my wife to take the vaccine. I thought it would save us from the virus, but it k*lled her. The govt is not monitoring adverse events from vaccine nor releasing data”.

As per the news, a person’s wife lost her life due to COVID-19 vaccination and the senior lawyer alleged that the government is neither taking notice of the mishappenings taking place after a person gets vaccinated nor it is making the data regarding it public.

After some time, Prashant Bhushan tweets that people including his friends and relatives are alleging that he is discouraging people from getting vaccinated. He writes that he is not against vaccination but he is certainly not in agreement with the promotion of universal vaccination with experimental and untested vaccines.

He tweeted, “A lot of people including friends & family have accused me of promoting Vaccine hesitancy, let me clarify my position. I am not anti Vaccine per se. But I believe it is irresponsible to promote universal vaccination of experimental & untested vaccines esp to young & COVID recovered”

Later on, he tweets that the healthy young people have more chances of losing their lives by COVID-19 vaccines rather than by COVID-19 as his tweet reads, “The healthy young have hardly any chance of serious effects or dying due to COVID. They have a higher chance of dying due to vaccines. The COVID recovered have much better natural immunity, than the vaccine gives them. Vaccines may even compromise their acquired natural immunity.”

He also makes it clear in another tweet that he has not got vaccinated and he doesn’t even intend to be in the future as well.

This angered the online community and soon they started lambasting the senior advocate. Here are some of the selected reactions:

Family Man Director Opens Up On Lonavala Mystery, Says This Question Should Never Be Answered

The Family Man series is one of the most successful web series of the present times and the best thing about it is that the second season was also loved by audiences. In fact it won’t be wrong to say that the inclusion of actress Samantha Akkineni in the cast has added more thrill and excitement to the show. The Family Man stars Manoj Bajpayee as the lead character who works as a secret intelligence agent while the role of his wife Suchi is played by Priyamani.

Many viewers were expecting that in the second season, they would get to know what happened between Suchi and her boss Arvind (Sharad Kelkar) in Lonavala but the makers chose not to touch that issue in the second part.

At the end of the first season, Suchi and Arvind went on an official trip to Lonavala and it was implied that something happened between them but nothing could be said with clarity. Moreover at the end of the second season , Suchi is seen saying to her husband Srikant Iyer (Manoj Bajpayee) that she wants to tell him something but before she says anything, the screen turns black.

In a recent interview, the co-producer Krishna DK has talked about the Lonavala mystery and said that they are hiding nothing from the audiences, they are just leaving hints for them so that they can keep on guessing what could have happened. He further adds that the audiences will also come to know when Srikant will get to know because he is also suspicious as to what has happened.

The director of the series, Suparn Verma says that they have never thought that the Lonavala mystery would have got so much importance from the viewers, especially when almost the whole Delhi was in trouble. Suparn also talks about the second aspect of the issue as he says that everybody is interested to know things about the woman but nobody would have been interested in knowing anything if the same thing had happened between Srikant and Saloni, the character played by Gul Panag.

Suparn is of the opinion that this question should be left unanswered for as long as possible as why Suchi can’t have some privacy in her life.

What is your take on the opinion of the makers in regard to the Lonavala mystery? Do let us know your views.

Twitter Went Berserk After Broadcasters Showed Shafali Verma’s Age As 28 Instead Of 17

The Indian cricket teams, both men and women, are in England at the moment and while the men’s cricket team has gone there to play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand followed by 5-match test series against England, the women cricket team at present is busy playing 3-match ODI series followed by 3-match T20I series. Although the men’s Indian team got defeated by New Zealand in the rain-affected WTC final, the women’s cricket team gave some respite to the Indian cricket fans by drawing the one-off test match against the England cricket team.

Shafali Verma, the young Indian woman cricketer, made the country proud when she played brilliant knocks in both the innings of the one-off test match against England. She scored 96 in the first innings whereas in the second innings, she made 63 runs which helped her team a lot in drawing the match.

Shafali Verma was also a part of the Indian squad which played in the first ODI against England and with this, she became the youngest Indian cricketer to make her debut in all the formats for the country. Shafali’s age was 17 years and 150 days at that time and earlier this record was in the name of Smriti Mandhana who was 18 years and 26 days old.

In the first ODI against England, Shafali Verma was able to play a big innings as she got out for 15 runs after giving a catch to Anya Shrubsole on the bowling of Katherine Brunt. The match was won by England by 8 wickets as the hosts achieved the target of 202 runs with 91 balls remaining in their innings. Mithali Raj was the top scorer for India with 72 runs while Tamsin Beaumont (87 not out) and Nat Sciver (74 not out) played match winning knocks for their team.

However, the Indian cricket fans were pretty annoyed with the broadcasters as they showed the age of Shafali Verma as 28 instead of 17 and this is certainly a big goof-up, especially when she became the youngest Indian cricketer to debut in all the formats.

This is how Twitter users reacted over it:

A lot is being expected from Shafali and hopefully women’s Indian cricket team will be able to make a comeback in the ODI series as well as play well in the 3-match T20I series.

Presently, the majority of the Indian states have put a limit on the number of guests who can attend weddings because of the COVID-19 and we don’t think that the situation is going to change much as the medical experts are already warned about the third wave of COVID-19.
