“Khaaya Peeya Kuch Nahi Glass Toda Bara Aana,” Sehwag Trolls Steve Smith For Erasing Pant’s Guard
The Indian cricket fans are not able to stop themselves from praising team India for the heroics that they have shown in the Sydney test match for ending the match in a draw. Many Indian fans are of the opinion that this draw is no less than win as the Australians were in pretty good control for the first four days of the match.
The Indian cricket team had a tough time in this test match as two Indian cricketers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were racially abused by the Australian crowd and two Indian cricketers Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh pant got injured but still this team displayed huge fighting spirit. On the start of the fifth day, the Australians had a pretty good chance of winning the match as India needed to score 407 runs to win the match while the Aussies had to take only 8 wickets to attain victory.
The Aussies managed to send the stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane back to the pavilion early but Cheteshwar Pujara stood like a rock at the crease as he scored 77 runs of 205 balls. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant played a brilliant knock of 97 runs for which he played only 118 runs.
The Aussies wanted to win this match at any cost and for this, they tried many tactics including the one in which Steve Smith tried to erase Rishabh Pant’s guard but he was caught by the stump camera. Though, Steve’s face was not seen, his jersey number 49 was clearly seen.
The former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to praise the Indian squad but he also took a jibe at Steve Smith for scuffing Pant’s guard during the drinks break for unsettling a set batsman.
Sehwag posted the video of the incident with the caption, “Tried all tricks including Steve Smith trying to remove Pant’s batting guard marks from the crease. Par kuch kaam na aaya. Khaaya peeya kuch nahi, glass toda barana. But I am so so proud of the effort of the Indian team today. Seena chonda ho gaya yaar.”

The final and fourth test match will start on 15th Jan at Gabba, Brisbane. Hopefully India will win that match to retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
