The Indian cricket team has certainly won respect and hearts of many cricket lovers after performing great collectively in the third test match against Australia which was played in Sydney. Though the hosts had an upper hand in the test match and they had pretty good chances of winning it, the Indians played a fighting and competitive cricket to ensure that the match ended in a draw.

The Indian cricketers are getting appreciated for their terrific efforts. The former Indian cricketer and the current President of Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly also took to Twitter to praise the Indian players; however at the same time, he also didn’t miss the chance to take a jibe at the critics. Moreover, Dada also wished all the best to the squad for winning the fourth test at Brisbane which will decide the winner of the series as well.

Sourav Ganguly tweeted, “Hope all of us realise the importance of Pujara, Pant and Ashwin in cricket teams.. batting at 3 in test cricket against quality bowling is not always hitting through the line.. almost 400 test wickets don’t come just like that.. well fought India.. time to win the series @bcci”

There were many who questioned the inclusion of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing squad as they felt that they both have already crossed the peak time of their career and they will be burden on the squad instead of being an asset. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant has been slammed a lot because of his poor wicket-keeping.

However in the Sydney test match while Cheteshwar Pujara played a solid and steady innings of 77 runs for which he played 205 balls, Rishabh Pant played a blistering knock of 97 runs (118) despite being injured. Ravichandran Ashwin along with Hanuma Vihari showed courage, resilience and patience while batting as he and Vihari batted for 259 deliveries for saving the match and while bowling, he also took two important wickets of David Warner and in-form batsman Steve Smith.

We totally agree with Dada, do you?
