There is no denying that the coronavirus outbreak has proved to be lethal for mankind. In fact, it won’t be wrong to say that it has brought our lives to halt as people are advised to stay at home and practice self-quarantine to stop the spreading of the dangerous virus. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has even appealed to public to practice Janta Curfew on 22nd March when people are advised to stay at home from 7am to 9pm and make loud noises at 5pm by clapping, blowing conch, etc. to cheer for those who have been working day and night to eradicate the disease. Well, this appears to be a great way to prevent India from entering the stage 3 of coronavirus which has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

KXIP Calls Chris Gayle Superior To Warner & Tweets About His Records, Gets An Epic Reply From SRH

IPL 2020 which was supposed to start on March 29 has been postponed till April 15 due to the coronavirus scare but it seems that the official Twitter handles of IPL teams are in no mood of taking some rest.

Recently, Twitterati witnessed a fun banter between the Twitter handles of IPL teams – Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It all began when the official Twitter handle of Star Sports compared King XI Punjab’s Chris Gayle and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s David Warner and asked everyone to tell who is more destructive.

Kings XI Punjab responded by talking about the records made by Chris Gayle and it tweeted, “One of them has the most no. of IPL centuries, the highest-ever score in IPL, a strike rate of over 150, the fastest-ever century in IPL history and the most sixes in the competition to his name. I think we know who our pick is! #SaddaPunjab”

Chris Gayle has scored the most number of hundreds in IPL which is six, his score of 175 which he scored in 2013 is still the highest ever score and he also scored the fastest century for which he played only 30 balls.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was also quick to respond and it talked about the IPL achievements of David Warner. Here is what SRH tweeted with a photo of Warner lifting Gayle up, “3 x Orange Caps 1 x IPL Trophy Need a lift, @lionsdenkxip?”

In the year 2015, 2017 and 2018, Warner won the orange cap which is given to that batsman who has scored the maximum runs in that particular season and he also lifted the trophy in the year 2016. Interestingly, David Warner was the skipper of SRH in 2016 when his team won IPL by defeating Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) in the final and co-incidentally Chris Gayle was a part of RCB at that time.

On the other hand, Gayle has played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), RCB and KXIP but he has never been a part of an IPL winning team.

Kevin Pieterson Urges Fans To Remain Indoors With A Tweet In Hindi, PM Modi Reacts

The coronavirus outbreak has turned out to be more harmful than expected and the situation in some countries is quite alarming. The World Health Organization has declared it as a pandemic and asked the governments of various countries to take all steps necessary for controlling this outbreak. Till the time this article was written, more than 2,77,000 people have been found infected while over 11,000 people have lost their lives globally.

The Indian government along with the state governments is making sure that each and every action is taken to control the disease and for this purpose, many steps have been taken, such as foreign flights have been cancelled for a week, many trains have been cancelled and cinema halls, gyms, schools, colleges, malls etc. have also been closed.

One of the biggest cricketing events of the world, Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been postponed due to the coronavirus scare as mass gathering will further deteriorate the situation. Kevin Pieterson, the South African born former England cricketer, was not quite happy when the decision of postponing IPL 2020 was taken and he expressed it on Twitter as well. He was supposed to be a part of IPL 2020 as a commentator and he was in India some time ago for shooting of a documentary Save Rhino as he is pretty active in the field of animal welfare and conservation.

Recently, Kevin Pieterson took to Twitter and made a tweet for Indian fans in Hindi. He wrote that we all are together in this fight against coronavirus, adding that we all should listen to our government and stay in home for some time. He also wrote that this is the time to remain alert and gave his love to his fans too. He concluded his tweet with the name of his Hindi teacher – Shreevats Goswami.

PM Modi has urged every Indian to take part in Janta Curfew which will take place on March 22 during which citizens are asked to stay at home from 7 am till 9 pm. Coronavirus has scared the whole world and a majority of people are trying to remain safe by following the precautions given by the government and the authorities but there are some individuals who are acting irresponsibly and risking not only their own life but lives of others as well.
