These Bollywood Directors Fell In Love With The Actresses Of Their Movies
The Indian movie industry is one of the biggest industries of the country where every year huge number of youngsters come to try their luck, while majority doesn’t get the chance, there are very few who get noticed by famous directors and producers. There have been instances when the directors have fallen in love with the actresses whom they have launched or given work in their movies. Here we list such B-Town directors who couldn’t stop themselves from falling in love with their actresses.
1. Dev Anand:
Dev Anand is one of the most loved actors of all times and his movies are still watched with excitement even after he has bid goodbye to the world. He started his Bollywood career as an actor but later on, he also began directing movies.
Dev Anand’s affair with Zeenat Aman:
Zeenat Aman, the beautiful and bold actress of the yesteryears, has enticed many with her beauty and Dev Anand was no exception. They both met each for the first time on the sets of “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” (1971) and slowly with time, he started having feelings for the actress and he wrote about it in his biography, Romancing with Life (2007) as well. However, Zeenat Aman never had such feelings for Dev Anand which she stated in an old interview.
2. Vikram Bhatt:
53 years old director and producer Vikram Bhatt, brother of renowned director Mahesh Bhatt is famous for directing the “Raaz” horror series and Aamir Khan starrer “Ghulam” in which the female lead was played by Rani Mukherji.
Vikram Bhatt’s affair with Sushmita Sen:
The former Miss Universe made her Bollywood debut with “Dastak” (1996) which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt was associated with it as a writer. They both had an affair despite the fact that Vikram Bhatt was married at that time and later on in an interview, he regretted the affair with Sushmita because of which he left his wife and daughter.
His affair with Ameesha Patel:
After Sushmita Sen, Vikram Bhatt had an affair with actress Ameesha Patel and they dated each other for five years before breaking up.
3. Anurag Kashyap:
He is one of the most famous directors of the present times and has also acted in some movies. He has been married twice but as the luck would have it, his marriage didn’t last long both the times.
Anurag’s affair with Huma Qureshi:
Anurag Kashyap launched Huma Qureshi in “Gangs of Wasseypur” and she was praised for her acting skills not just by audiences but by the critics as well. They both were seen together on several occasions and rumours of their affair started doing rounds. Huma was even blamed for trouble in Anurag’s second marriage with actress Kalki Koechlin, however both Huma and Anurag always denied any such thing between them.
4. Ram Gopal Varma:
The producer-director has worked not just in Bollywood but in southern cinema as well and he is known for breaking stereotypes as far as making movies is concerned. He also gave a chance to many actresses and news of his linkups with few of them made headlines in almost every leading daily.
RGV’s affair with Urmila Matondkar:
Urmila Matondkar worked as a child artist in few movies and it was N. Chandra’s “Narsimha” with which she made her debut in real sense but she became famous after working in RGV’s “Rangeela”. It is being said that their affair started after “Rangeela” and RGV casted Urmila in every movie after that. However, the couple never confirmed their relationship and the rumours were abuzz that it was because of Urmila that RGV’s marriage got broken.
RGV’s affair with Antara Mali:
Though Antara Mali didn’t achieve much success, she also worked in quite a few movies which were made by RGV and it was being said that they were in a relationship but neither of them accepted it. However, the failure of “Naach” disappointed both and Antara chose not to spend more time with RGV.
RGV’s affair with Nisha Kothari:
RGV’s name was once again linked with another actress Nisha Kothari who worked in his movies but again neither of them spoke anything in this regard.
