Ananya Pandey is one of the most famous actresses of Bollywood at the present times and she has made a considerable achievement in such a short period of time at a quite young age. Her latest release “Gehraiyaan” got mixed reviews and apart from Ananya, the movie also starred Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles.

Ananya started her Bollywood career with Karan Johar’s “Student Of The Year 2” and after that, she worked in “Pati Patni Aur Woh” which was a remake of a 1978 flick of the same name.

Though “Pati Patni Aur Woh” that also starred Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar was a hit on the box-office, Ananya now wants the trend of making remakes in Bollywood to get over soon. In a recent interview, she stated that in the future, she wants to do new work which has fresh and original content to offer to audiences. She also adds that she is not sure about her feelings for remakes as of now.

Ananya goes on to say that she hopes no more remakes are made because in the present times, the industry is on the path of telling the world an original, a courageous and a difficult story because of which she doesn’t want to see any more remakes.

Talking about the Bollywood filmmakers who are making remakes of southern language movies, Ananya feels that these makers are sure of what their audiences want to see and they also create some magic of their own in these remakes.

Presently, Ananya is busy with “Liger” in which she is starring opposite Vijay Deverakonda and Mike Tyson is also a part of the movie. Other than this, she also has “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan” which is being directed by Zoya Akhtar and also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.

Do you agree with Ananya Pandey that trend of remakes should end now? What do you think in this regard? Let us know your opinion.
