Zomato Tried To Use ‘Gully Boy’ Memes For Promotions, Got Badly Trolled In Return
Ever since the Gully Boy trailer released, netizens have been going crazy about the dialogues, about Asli Hip Hop and the Ranveer Singh – Alia Bhatt jodi.
The film looks amazing, and we really can’t wait for 14th Feb. However, a lot of brands are actually using meme marketing in order to promote their services or products.
A few Gully Boy dialogues like “Mar Jayega Tu” or “Apna Time Ayega” have already become internet sensations and even Mumbai Police used the dialogues to spread awareness.
Recently, Zomato tried to use the same tactic and opted to use Gully Boy for its promotions. They captioned the image, “Making hidden gems famous since 2008 ”

But instead of looking at this as a witty attempt, Twitterati made fun of Zomato, for its recent controversies.
