Viral Video Shows Two Men Holding On To Cup Of Chai When Cops Drag Them, Twitter Says “Turu Lob”

Indians are quite passionate about their tea and it won’t be wrong to say that it has a special place in our hearts. Whether it’s elaichi wali chai or adrak wali chai, tea is not just seen as a hot drink but as a stress buster too. It won’t be wrong to say that you can’t take tea out from Indians as it’s not just a beverage but a part of our lives.

Representational Image

Many people prefer to take tea in the morning and evening but if anyone has a headache, the first thing that he needs is a tea before any other stuff or medicine. This is just one example to quote and there are many other instances in which a cup of tea becomes compulsory for many of us.

Well, we have tried our best to tell you about the love of Indians for tea but if still you feel that we are exaggerating, you need to watch this video which is presently going viral on the social media networks. The clip has been shared by an IPS officer Ankita Sharma and in this video, two men are seen getting arrested by the police but they are not worried or concerned about it, what they both are concerned about is their cup of tea which they are holding in their hands. While the cops drag both the men, they ensure that they hold the cup of tea in a good manner so that it doesn’t spill or get wasted.

The IPS officer captioned the video, ये हम है, ये हमारी चाय है, बाक़ी बाद में देखेंगे (This is us, this is our tea, everything else will be dealt later).

In another tweet, she talked about the sensitivity of the policemen who are letting both the men carry their cups and drink tea as they may have snatched the cups from them and threw it away.

Her tweet read, “What I liked about the cops is they are not even throwing their cups, and letting them drink, how sensitive”.

Soon the video was outpoured with reactions; while some call them ultimate tea lovers, few called it their Turu Lob for chai whereas several others awarded them with the “Chai Lovers Of The Year” award. You just can’t miss these hilarious reactions:

Manjrekar Slams Free Hit & Leg Byes, Says “It’s As If Rule Was Made By Sadist Who Hated Bowlers”

The modern times cricket is certainly very favorable towards the batsmen as many rules have been made in order to ensure that the batsmen get more chances to perform well in comparison the bowlers. Recently, the former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar who works as a commentator now has slammed the rules (free hit, shorter and longer field restrictions, leg byes, etc.) which favor the batsmen.

While writing a column in a leading daily, Manjrekar has supported the bowlers, saying that rules like free hit and leg-byes are unfair towards the bowlers and they should be removed from the game. Sanjay Manjrekar goes on to say that a sadist who must be having hatred for the bowlers would have come up with the rule of free-hit because a bowler is punished heavily just because he oversteps by a few inches. He adds that the batsman doesn’t get out on the no-ball and also one run is given to his team and to add salt to the injury, the batsman gets a free-hit on which again, he can’t be dismissed.

Talking about the leg-byes, Sanjay Manjrekar argues as to why the bowlers get punished for bowling a good delivery on which the batsman gets beaten and isn’t able to play it with bat. However if the ball touches his body part and goes for a boundary, the batting team is given the runs and the bowler gets punished. According to Sanjay Manjrekar, the rule of leg-byes also doesn’t make sense to him.

Manjrekar played for India from 1987 till 1996; he used to bat in the middle-order to the team and also served as a wicket-keeper on some occasions. The 55 years old right-handed batsman played 37 test matches and 74 ODIs in which he scored 2043 and 1994 runs respectively.

Do you agree with Sanjay Manjrekar’s suggestion of removing free-hit and leg-byes? Share your views in this regard.

Michael Vaughan Would Have Loved To Play Under This Indian Skipper In The IPL

Michael Vaughan, the former England cricketer who now works as a commentator, is quite famous among the Indians because of his controversial remarks that he makes in relation to the Indian cricket team on a regular basis. The 46 years old former skipper of England played for his country for 8 years and in this duration, he played 82 test matches and 86 ODIs in which he scored 5719 and 1982 runs, respectively. Michael Vaughan scored 18 test hundreds but he didn’t score a century in the ODIs. Vaughan was a good skipper who led his team in 51 test matches, 60 ODIs and 2 T20I matches and in June 2009, he bid goodbye to the international cricket.

Recently, Michael Vaughan took part in a questions and answers segment of a cricket portal in which he answered many questions related to cricket, trolls, the Indian skipper under whom he will like to play in the IPL, who the better captain is between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and so on.

MS Dhoni is one of the greatest skippers of all times; who can forget that he is the one under whose leadership the Indian squad won the T20 World Cup as well as ODI World Cup. MS Dhoni is the only skipper who has won all the ICC trophies and he is such a cool and calm individual even in the times of crisis that his fans call him Captain Cool. Virat Kohli is also a good skipper as team India has been performing quite well under his captaincy, however he is an aggressive and expressive person and has his own style of leading the team.

Many people might have assumed that Michael Vaughan would take the name of either MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli when he was asked that if he had been playing the IPL currently, under which skipper he would like to play.

Nevertheless, Michael Vaughan responded by taking the name of Rohit Sharma as he feels that Hitman is a great leader who has a calm attitude and his strategies are very clever. Vaughan also adds that Mumbai Indians is the best T20 team in the world at the present time.

Mumbai Indians has won the IPL five times under the leadership of Rohit Sharma while MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings has won the IPL title three times. On the other hand, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore hasn’t won the IPL trophy even once despite the fact that Kohli has been playing for RCB since the inaugural edition of 2008 and since 2013, he has been leading the team. So, it is quite obvious that Michael Vaughan chose to play under Rohit Sharma in the IPL. Not just this, Vaughan is so impressed with Hitman that he took his name in answer to the question as to which Mumbai Indian player he would like to see in the England team.

Do you think that Michael Vaughan made the right choice by picking up Rohit Sharma? Let us know your views in this regard.

SRH Player Shreevats Goswami Takes A Jibe At BCCI For Delaying Payments In First Class Cricket

The second wave of COVID-19 gave Indians the rudest shock of their lives as people were of the opinion that they got over with the first wave of the virus and soon things would be back to normal. In fact, many people even stopped following the safety guidelines, such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, etc.

Representational Image

It has been more than one year that we have been fighting with this lethal virus and in this duration while many people lost their lives, there are a number of individuals who have lost their jobs whereas some had to bear with pay cuts because the businesses are closed due to lockdown. Moreover, there are many organizations that have decided to shut down their businesses as they are not able to bear losses anymore.

The Indian cricketers have also got affected badly due to the coronavirus pandemic as no cricketing action took place for quite a long time. Though it is a common notion that the Indian cricketers are pretty rich, it certainly doesn’t hold true in case of each cricketer because only those cricketers earn huge who play for the country. The cricketers who play in the Indian Premier League also take home pretty big amount but there are many other cricketers who play only in the domestic circuits such as Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, etc.

What makes it more difficult for these cricketers to survive is the delay in their payments because of poor coordination between the state units and the BCCI. While Ranji Trophy 2020-21 didn’t take place because of the coronavirus pandemic, the cricketers who played in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 edition are still waiting for their remuneration. The BCCI officials may cite the issue of coronavirus for the delay in payments as the Mumbai office was closed for a pretty long period but if we go by some of the Indian cricketers, this trend of delaying payments is not new and they have been bearing with it for a long time now.

Shreevats Goswami, the Bengal cricketer who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, has taken a jibe at the cricket board by saying that he has never been able to understand the reason behind the delay in payments of First Class cricket. He writes that it has been happening for ages now and usually the cricketers don’t complain about it but if they do, they are considered to be arrogant.

Shreevats Goswami was responding to a tweet which talked about the poor condition of the Indian cricketers because no Ranji Trophy took place this year and payments have also been delayed. As per The Indian Express, many Indian cricketers are playing in the local leagues of United Kingdom where they are getting paid 150 pounds a week only but they have no other option as they have to take care of their family and also have to pay their financial liabilities.

The IPL 2021 also got postponed mid-way due to COVID-19 and for quite some time, there are no chances of any cricketing action taking place in India but BCCI certainly needs to come up with proper salary distribution program so that cricketers don’t have to suffer.

Wasim Jaffer Tweets Funny Meme On Ashwin As ICC Announces Playing Conditions For WTC Final

The Indian cricket team is all set to play the first final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand which will be played from June 18 to June 23 at Southampton. Presently the Indian squad is serving their quarantine period at Mumbai and on June 2, they will be leaving for England where they will have to serve quarantine for 10 days. Team India won’t be getting much time for adapting in the conditions of England but New Zealand will definitely have an upper hand as they will be playing two test matches against England before the finals of the World Test Championship 2021.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the set of new rules on Friday for the finals of the WTC. As rain may disrupt the game, the ICC has kept a reserve day for the test match and it has also been announced that if the match ends in a tie or a draw, both the teams will be the joint winners. Some former cricketers gave their reactions on these rules but the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer was once again at his funny best while responding to these rules.

Wasim Jaffer has a reputation of posting some really funny and savage tweets and in response to the tweet made by ICC Media which talked about the playing conditions of the WTC final, Jaffer posted a meme from Sanjay Dutt starrer “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” in which Sanjay Dutt is seen telling his classmate, “Tu samajhke apun ko sikha dena” (First you learn and then you make me understand).

Wasim Jaffer wrote in his tweet that the whole Indian team will ask Ravichandran Ashwin to understand the rules first and then make them understand. He captioned the tweet, “Indian team to @ashwinravi99 right now #FirstBencher #WTCFinal” with a laughing emoji.

Check out his tweet:

There is no denying the fact that R Ashwin is one of the smartest cricketers of the present times and this can be ascertained not just for his cricketing skills but also because of the posts that he makes on the social media networks.

Wasim Jaffer is nailing the meme game on social media networks, isn’t he?
