The Indian batter Rishabh Pant answered his critics in a very solid manner by scoring a century in the fifth rescheduled test match against England which is being played at Edgbaston and what makes this innings of Pant more special is the fact that it came at a time when team India needed it the most.
Presently, India is leading by 2-1 in the 5-match series and England was going pretty strong from the start as it sent five Indian top order batters back to the pavilion at the score of 98. However, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja not only stopped the England bowlers from taking wickets but also kept the score board ticking. Pant was faster between the two as far as the speed of scoring runs is concerned because he completed his century in 89 balls.
How important Rishabh Pant’s century was can be understood by the reaction that the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid gave. The former Indian cricketer who is also referred to as The Wall by his fans is known to be a reserved person who doesn’t express his emotions much but as Rishabh Pant completed the second run to reach his century, Rahul Dravid jumped up from his seat and gave an animated reaction.
Here in this video in which you can watch the ultimate reaction of Dravid:
Rishabh Pant, you beauty!
Is there a more exciting Test cricketer in the modern game?!
Rishabh Pant was caught by Zak Crawley on the bowling of Joe Root at the score of 146 for which he played 111 balls and his innings included 19 fours and 4 sixes. By the time Rishabh Pant departed, the Indian team was on the score of 320 and both the batters Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja produced a partnership of 222 runs which is the highest ever against England for the sixth wicket.
At the end of the day 1, India was at the score of 338/7 with Ravindra Jadeja at the score of 83 and marching towards his third test century strongly and Mohammed Shami at 0.
We have seen Rahul Dravid rarely showing his emotions but on this occasion, even he was not able to control his excitement.

We as humans have definitely failed in making this world a better place to live as crimes against women are taking place almost in every country. Though the governments all around the world are trying their level best to stop these crimes, a lot still remains to be done. However because of all these criminals who are men by gender, many other men have to suffer because a notion has been created in our minds that a man can never be a victim, he can only be a culprit.
The same is the reason why whenever we get to hear that a man or boy is s*xually abused or exploited, we tend to take it as a joke rather than listening to him seriously despite the fact that some males also have to face such horrific incidents in their lives. What make things worse is the fact that there is no law in India which identifies rape of a man as a criminal offence, in fact a man can only be a perpetrator of rape and not a victim. Even more sadly, it’s a common perception that men can’t be weak, they can’t cry or show their tears otherwise they will be mocked or ridiculed, they have to be strong physically as well as mentally, they are supposed to offer their seat to a female in a bus and so on but why? Though the society that we live in is called a male dominated one but many men are undergoing trauma and suffering in this world and they can’t even talk about it to anyone because nobody will believe them.
Here we present a heart-breaking short movie which very categorically explains what a man goes through when he becomes a victim of any such incident and how people around him react when he tries to talk to them about it.
The story revolves around a man who is about to get married but just one week before his wedding, he gets raped. How he handles the entire trauma and what happens when he gathers courage to somehow share it with his friend is something that will make you emotional too.
Going through such a distressing incident is really painful and people should at least listen to the man when he shares anything like that and if they can’t help, the minimum they can do is not to increase his agony further by mocking him.
The Indian cricket team is presently playing the rescheduled fifth test match against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham, and as of now, the visitors seem to be in a problematic situation as they have lost their top five order batsmen even before touching the three figure mark. The skipper Rohit Sharma is not playing as he has been tested COVID-19 positive and in his absence, it is the Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who is fulfilling the responsibility of a skipper.
Though Jasprit Bumrah lost his first toss today yet this toss was quite a happening event as Bumrah was spontaneous and witty while talking to former English cricketer Mark Butcher who was the presenter of the event. Mark Butcher congratulates Jasprit Bumrah for donning the skipper’s cap for the first time and also says that this is the first time an Indian pacer is leading team India.
In response, Bumrah says that Kapil Dev has led the Indian team earlier but Butcher interrupts by saying that he was an all-rounder and then in response, Bumrah says, “Alright, all-rounder if you say so”.
Here is the video of the toss and the conversation which took place between Jasprit Bumrah and Mark Butcher:
The experts were already not giving much chance to the Indian team in this test match because of the manner in which the English cricket team has whitewashed the 3-match test series against New Zealand and after seeing the present condition, it seems that they were correct.
As far as the match is concerned, by the time this article was written, India was 150/5 with Rishabh Pant (40 runs*) and Ravindra Jadeja (26 runs*) on the crease. While Indian openers Shubman Gill (17) and Cheteshwar Pujara (13) failed in giving a good start to the team, Hanuma Vihari (20) also failed in stabilizing the situation but the biggest disappointment was Virat Kohli who departed at the score of 11 runs.
The Indian team is leading in the series by 2-1 but do you think they will be able to win the series?
The environment is going through a very tough time as pollution is increasing at the very high rate and majority of humans are still not in the mood to change their ways despite the fact that global warming and its effects are quite visible on all of us. Plastic is also playing an important role in increasing pollution and though many of us have reduced the use of plastic in our daily lives, still it is present in our lives in good amount. The government has also taken quite a few steps, the latest being imposing a ban on plastic from July 1 (today).

However, there are few people in this world who are trying their level best to deal with this menace and the Junagadh authorities certainly need to be praised for coming up with a great idea in this regard. Junagadh is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat and a café has been inaugurated over there on June 30 where people can eat delicious dishes without paying money. Yes, customers won’t need to pay money and they may get these dishes in exchange of plastic waste, the more the plastic waste, the bigger the platter.

People can come with their household plastic waste in the café and they will be provided with food depending on weight of the plastic. The good thing is that food provided in the café will be made from organic items which will be procured from local farmers and most of the dishes will be made using bel leaf, rose, figs and betel leaf and customers will be served dishes in utensils made of clay.
Rachit Raj, the collector of Junagadh, states that they want to promote clean and green Junagadh. He adds in the beginning, a glass of lemon juice or fennel juice will be given to customers in exchange of 500 gm plastic and a plate of poha or dhokla in exchange of 1 kg plastic waste. An agency has also been hired in order to buy the waste collected at the café.

This is not the first time that a café has taken such a step as a café in Odisha and two dhabas in Hisar, Haryana, also practicing this concept. Let us also pledge that we reduce use of plastic in our lives as much as possible and do our bit in relation to saving the environment.
The inflation is increasing at a very high rate in the country and prices of each commodity whether it is edible item, electronic goods, FMCG, etc. is touching sky. However, there is still one thing which is available to Indians at a little less price and it is almost a necessity for majority of us. Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about our loving chai which we can obtain from the roadside tea stalls for Rs. 10 or a little more, depending upon the items added in it.

Tea is indispensable for majority of Indians who can have it any time because it not only refreshes but also serves as a get-together reason for the whole family. Even while travelling also, we prefer to have tea at regular intervals so that our mind and senses can work in a proper manner but drinking tea while travelling in a train proved too costly to a traveler.
As per an article in a leading daily, a passenger of Bhopal Shatabdi Express who was travelling from Bhopal to Delhi ordered a cup of tea in the train which was priced at Rs. 20. However, the passenger had to pay Rs. 70 for one cup of tea because the Indian Railways charged Rs. 50 as service charge in the bill.
The passenger shared the photo of the bill on social media platforms and soon people started slamming the Indian Railways for looting public in this manner. Here are some selected reactions:
₹20 का चाई पर ₹50 का GST. कुल मिलाकर ₹70 का एक चाई,
हैं ना कमाल का लूट
Series of such complaints to @IRCTCofficial fall on deaf ears at @RailMinIndia
and the private players have a loot in “connivance” with the pic.twitter.com/Ayir5vGITL
Food can be pre-ordered
For a cup of tea???? that has to be pre ordered .. Loot ki koi limit hain ya nahi,
Tommorow @RailMinIndia will say same for a bottle of water or may be No of times you use in-train toilet https://t.co/PtX42aAaYi
However, the Indian Railways made its stance clear on this matter; it clarified that as per the circular passed in 2018, if a passenger doesn’t book meal in advance while making a reservation, they have to pay Rs. 50 extra as service charge if they order coffee, tea or food during their travel.
Check out the image of the circular:
So from now onm make it a point to book your meals in advance while making reservation otherwise be ready to pay Rs. 50 extra.

The relatively less experienced Indian cricket team under the leadership of Hardik Pandya won the 2-match T20I series against Ireland by 2-0 and the same team which played second T20I against Ireland will be playing against England in the first T20I. However, the selectors have made changes in the squad which will be playing the second and third T20I and 3 ODIs as well and the exclusion of especially one player has irked cricket fans who trolled and slammed the selectors and BCCI mercilessly.
That one player is Sanju Samson who is a very famous cricketer of the present times and recently he led his IPL team Rajasthan Royals in the finals of the IPL 2022. Though RR lost it to Gujarat Titans yet Sanju Samson was praised a lot for his captaincy and batting in the tournament. Sanju Samson has been in and out of the Indian team and when he got the chance to play in the second T20I against Ireland, he made the most of it by hitting a half century as he scored 77 runs in 42 balls and his innings included 9 fours & 4 sixes. Moreover, his 176 runs partnership with Deepak Hooda is the highest ever for any wicket for India in the T20I format. Though he will be playing the first T20I against England, he has not been included in the squad for remaining T20Is and 3 ODIs because Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will make a comeback in the team.
The Indian cricket lovers got aggravated due to Sanju Samson’s exclusion and they expressed their annoyance on the micro-blogging site Twitter. While many fans have slammed BCCI and the selectors for ignoring Sanju Samson despite him performing well in the only chance given to him, there are some others who are very unhappy with the fact that Rishabh Pant who is failing repeatedly is getting chances but Sanju Samson is being discriminated.
Check out some of the selected reactions:
India is picking players like Pant and DK in t20i sqaud and leaving Talented players like Sanju Samson
But different rules only made for Sanju Samson even after performing brilliantly scored 77(42) on his comeback match still didn’t included in 2nd & 3rd T20i whereas special guest like Pant getting continues games even after failing miserably. Dirty politics of @BCCI#SanjuSamsonhttps://t.co/qLxgekL4HL
Players like Sanju has only one way to get more chances and that is to perform in IPL and other tournaments and not 400+ performance cuz then BCCI will still ignore him, he needs to perform a Buttler game to crash the gates to the team , unfortunate for such a talent
No wonder Sanju Samson has so many fans, bcci has made the entire country his fan with their injustice.
Scored 77 in the only chance he got in comeback, still a 48 match failure rishabh pant is playing over him.
Scored 46 in the only odi he played, never got another odi. pic.twitter.com/ZTFK6SIhaI
WHAT IS BCCI DOING?
It doesn’t matter to BCCI whether Sanju Samson performs or not. They just want to waste his talent. Even after scoring good runs in the last match, BCCI only saw what Deepak Hooda did. Do BCCI selectors smoke W€€D before Team selection?#SanjuSamson
#ShameOnBCCI last year made an agenda to bring #klrahul as wicketkeeper to avoid sanju getting enough chances and also to wait till pant came back. This sports is for fans,if they loss your trust everything downfall #bccidownfall#favoritism#nepotism
When the former chairman of the selection committee Saba Karim was asked by a leading daily about the inconsistency in the manner in which Sanju Samson is being treated by the selectors, the former Indian cricketer says that there is no doubt things have been tough for Sanju Samson. Saba Karim adds that sometimes the selectors tend to get influenced by the recent performances, for example if someone performs well in the IPL, the selectors may choose to go with that player instead of someone who was selected earlier and on some moments, this happened with Sanju Samson as well. Saba Karim goes on to say that whatever has happened is past now so it will be better that Sanju Samson looks forward only.
The Indian team comprising of senior players will be playing the fifth rescheduled test match starting today. As of now, India is leading by 2-1 but England is certainly the favorite to win the test match after whitewashing New Zealand in the 3-match test series.
