Dhoni Retained By CSK For 3 Yrs, KL Rahul To Lead Lucknow, See Other Players Franchises Retained

The IPL 2022 is certainly going to be bigger and better than all the previous seasons as two new teams (Lucknow and Ahmedabad) will be added in the tournament from this season and the teams will go under big overhaul as the mega auction will take place before the IPL 2022.

Though the exact date of the mega auction is not yet known, there are reports that it may take place in the first week of December and the IPL franchises also need to submit the list of players they will retain to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by November 30. The two new teams have also been given permission to sign two players out of auction.

As per the IPL retention policy for 2022, franchises can retain maximum 4 players and as everyone already expected, Chennai Super Kings has retained its skipper MS Dhoni for the next 3 years. Other players which CSK will retain are – the young cricketer and Orange cap winner of the IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad and one of the finest all-rounders of the present times, Ravindra Jadeja. The Chennai franchise is also in talks with Moeen Ali but if things don’t work out, the franchise will most probably retain Sam Curran.

Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise of the IPL, has retained its skipper Rohit Sharma and pacer Jasprit Bumrah and most likely Ishan Kishan will also be retained. MI is also in talks with Kieron Pollard and is also interested in having Suryakumar Yadav in the team.

KL Rahul, the cricketer who has led Punjab Kings in the last season has bid goodbye to the team and has accepted the deal offered to him by the new Lucknow franchise so in the IPL 2022, he will be seen leading the Lucknow team.

Delhi Capitals will also retain its skipper Rishabh Pant along with Prithvi Shaw, Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje, the South African pacer. Many were hoping to see Shreyas Iyer getting retained by the Delhi franchise but things don’t seem to work out as of now. The cricketer is interested in donning the captain’s cap once again but the Delhi franchise is pretty happy with the manner in which Rishabh Pant has led the team.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has decided to retain Andre Russell and Sunil Narine and the talks are still on with Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill. As far as Royal Challengers Bangalore is concerned, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell have been retained, AB de Villiers may have been the next name in the list but he has now taken retirement from all forms of cricket so RCB will have a tough task of finding his replacement.

Guy Gets 6 Unbroken Pieces Of Chips In Rs 5 Lays Pack With 40% Extra, Twitter Goes Crazy

Potato chips are one of the most loved snacks all over the world and there are few multinationals including Lays which offer potato chips in different flavors. While Lays has a large variety of flavors, it is also criticized for providing less number of chips in a pack.

Recently, a guy took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared that he bought a Rs. 5 pack of Lays Classic Salted in which he got 6 unbroken pieces of chips. What makes it funnier is that the pack has 40% more chips written on it.

He also posts a photo in which six pieces of chips are seen lying on the bedsheet with the open pack of Lays and the caption of the tweet reads, “₹ 5 wale Lays mei 6 chips hai”.

Soon his tweet was outpoured with reactions, while many made fun of Lays, there were some who suggested the guy to buy chips from local shops instead of these branded ones and few users also had a problem with the person keeping chips on the bedsheet as it will make bedsheet dirty.

Last year a person did an empirical analysis to find out which brand out of the three – Lays, Bingo and Haldiram gives minimum quantity of chips in Rs. 10 packet and the analysis showed Lays giving the minimum quantity of chips.

Though this analysis was challenged by many people on the basis of the fact that the weight written on all the packs is the same and some also stated that taste is inversely proportional to quantity.

WHO Warns About 7 Lakh People Losing Lives As Fourth Wave Of COVID-19 Hits Europe

The situation of the COVID-19 pandemic may have improved considerably in India and few other nations but there are many countries which are once again facing its wrath. Things seem to be quite serious in Europe as the number of people losing lives to COVID-19 may reach 2.2 million in the winter if the present trend continues.

After the COVID-19 positive cases started increasing at a high rate in Europe, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that around 7 lakh people may lose their lives in Europe by the month of March. Many countries have started imposing tough restrictions for stopping the spread of the virus. As per an estimate made by the WHO, 49 out of 53 nations may be facing high or extreme pressure in the intensive care units (ICU) from now onwards and it may continue till 1st March 2022.

As per the data, the average of people losing their lives to COVID-19 in the last week has increased to 4200 daily which is just double of the count (2100/day) which was recorded in September end.

The regional director for WHO Europe, Hans Kluge states that situation is getting challenging in Europe and Central Asia and winters may be very tough for all of us. Hans emphasized on the vaccine plus approach as per which a person should not only get vaccinated but also wear masks while out of house, practice social distancing, avoid crowded places, wash hands and use sanitizer regularly.

Germany is also facing the fourth wave and after the increase in cases, on Tuesday, the Health minister Jens Spahn talked about imposing stricter restrictions which may be done area-wise depending on number of cases recorded in the area. Considering the present situation, the USA has advised its citizens against travelling to Germany. In few areas of Germany such as Saxony and Bavaria, the Christmas markets have been cancelled and the government may take further strict actions if things keep on deteriorating like this.

Though France has not taken any tough step like Germany and Austria till now, it is also facing the fourth wave and the cases are increasing at a very good pace. In fact, Jean Castex, the French Prime Minister, has also caught the infection and he is going in quarantine for next 10 days.

We should follow the safety protocols despite the fact that the things are pretty good in our country.

Bride Gives Exam In Wedding Dress Right Before Shaadi, Netizens Call It Publicity Stunt & Drama

Education is certainly one of the most important aspects of our life and every parent should ensure that their kid whether boy or girl should get proper education. It won’t be wrong to say that student life is the best time of our lives but it is also true that examination time is definitely the toughest one as the future of a student depends on the results of exams.

Although the time has changed a lot yet there are some girls who have to leave their study mid-way, sometimes voluntarily while at times, they are forced to do that but this girl from Rajkot made it clear to everyone that for her, education is more important than her wedding.

A video is going viral on the Internet in which a girl is seen dressed as a bride and giving examination in the exam hall. We are talking about Shivangi Bagthariya who is a student of Shanti Niketan College and she was seen writing fifth semester exam of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).

She arrived at the examination center with her would-be husband and she told the mediapersons that when her marriage date was fixed, the schedule of exam was not declared by that time but when it got declared, the date of her examination and morning muhurat of wedding got clashed.

She added that both the families agreed with her decision and supported her completely. She also added that girls and their parents should give duly importance to education.

While speaking at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the “Gangs Of Wasseypur” actor revealed that he was very afraid because he was not willing to be a part of the template which OTT platforms were setting.

He was not sure that what he wanted to be a part of but he was absolutely clear of what he didn’t wish to be a part of. He added that at that time, few web series were liked a lot by viewers but the template that the makers were following included violence, blood, guns, etc. and he didn’t want to be a part of it.

While talking about playing the character of Srikant Tiwari, he stated that it was not very difficult for him as he is from a middle class family and he didn’t need to go somewhere or observe anyone specifically to portray the character. He just needed to look at the way his father, brother or his neighbor lives their lives. As per him, Srikant Tiwari is everywhere, he is in the people who are travelling in trains, reaching their offices and then returning to their homes.

Thank God, Manoj Bajpayee finally accepted the role of Srikant Tiwari otherwise we would have been deprived of watching a wonderful web series and an amazing acting performance.

Recently in an interview to a leading daily, the “Fukrey” actress revealed that Rahul Dravid was her first crush, adding that she is not a big fan of the game but her brother used to play cricket.

She further said that she used to watch matches on TV with her brother sometimes just for Rahul Dravid but after he stopped playing, she also stopped watching matches. She further says that as Rahul Dravid is back in the Indian dressing room, though not as a player, she will again start following the game now.

Rahul Dravid’s first assignment as the coach went great as India defeated New Zealand in the three match test series by 3-0 and his second assignment will be the 2-match test series against New Zealand starting from November 25 at Kanpur. These two test matches will be played under the World Test Championship 2021-23.

Rahul Dravid has worked as coach for the U-19 Indian team and many players in the present Indian squad have got trained under him. In July, he went to the Sri Lankan tour as a temporary coach with the relatively less-experienced Indian team as the main head coach Ravi Shastri was with the senior Indian team in England.

Let’s hope that team India wins an ICC trophy under the guidance of Rahul Dravid as it has been quite long that it has won any major ICC tournament.

Virat Kohli has also left the captaincy of his IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore with which he has been associated since the inaugural edition of 2008. In 2013, he was appointed as the skipper of RCB but could not make his team win the IPL title even once.
