H&M Sells Desi Kurtas As Plus-Sized Shirt Dress For $35, Twitter Can’t Keep Calm

The famous fashion brands have been coming up with some really bizarre products for quite some time now and it won’t be wrong to say that at first glance, it appears that they have been trying to make customers fools with such weird stuffs in the name of fashion or brands. Recently one Swedish clothing company did the same and introduced something which made Desis go mad at it.

We are talking about H&M, the Swedish clothing giant which has its headquarters in Stockholm and is known for its fast-fashion clothing for people of all age-groups. H&M recently launched a chocolate brown kurta salwar which it named as jersey shirt dress in order to make it look cool and priced it at whopping $35 (around Rs 2,600).

The photo of this product was shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter by an online user with the caption, “Why is it hip for H&M to sell kurta payjama as loungewear but when Desis wear kurta payjama it is ‘OMG I love your ethnic costume’”.

Another user talked about it and wrote, “I’m crying what is every brown uncle’s Masjid fit doing on H&M”.

Soon netizens started reacting on this matter and some even questioned as to why H&M is selling this dress which is worn mostly by those who visit Masjid for offering prayers. Few even went on to slam the brand for selling the dress at such a high price while it can be bought in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. at a price less than $10.

An old tweet of a Twitter user also got highlighted which talked about the Linen-blend Kaftan dress that H&M was selling at $99. The Twitter user wrote the caption, “Y’all @hm is trying to sell this basic @ss kurta for NINETY NINE DOLLARS???”

It is the best to buy clothes from local market rather than from the famous fashion brands as they are not only making weird stuff but also resorting to copying the design of clothes which many of us wear in normal routine.

What do you have to say in this regard? Will you ever buy such products at this high price?

“I Was Stripped Of SRH Captaincy & Dropped For No Fault Of Mine, It Hurts,” Says David Warner

The Australian cricket team won the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2021 after defeating the New Zealand side in the finals and it was the first time that the Aussies won the T20 World Cup. David Warner, the Australian opener, played an important role in his team’s win as he scored 289 runs in the 7 matches that he played with an average of 48.17 and he was also adjudged as the Player of the Tournament for his superb performance.

However, David Warner was out of form during the first leg of the IPL 2021 because of which he was removed not only from captaincy of his team Sunrisers Hyderabad but also from the playing XI in one match. In the second leg of the league, Warner did get a couple of chances in the tournament but he failed to make any impact and as a result, he was again removed from the playing eleven.

The Aussie cricketer had maintained silence on this issue till now but recently, he opened up on it and in an interview with a leading daily, he stated that he was hurt when he was removed from the captaincy and was dropped from the team despite the fact that he was not at fault and he was not even given a reason for whatever was done. He further adds that though he has loved SRH the most for many years, he has no complaints whatsoever as he has always got support of the Indian fans; in fact he goes on to say that he plays to entertain his Indian fans.

David Warner further said that he has no idea why he failed to get place in the playing eleven of SRH but he was still training the hardest ever and never missed his training, not even for a single day. Warner said that it was just a matter of time before he could have started scoring runs as he was batting pretty good during the net sessions.

As said earlier, David Warner was hurt but was also sure that he would get another opportunity as sports is known as a great leveller, it’s just that a player needs to keep on working hard and he will certainly get a second chance. As per him, he is happy that things worked out for him and fans would certainly like to see him play in the next IPL. What do you think?

Amid Captaincy News, Rohit Sharma’s 9 Years Old Tweet About Leading The Side Goes Viral

The new era of the Indian T20I cricket will start soon as India will be facing New Zealand in the three match T20I series starting 17th November (today) under the leadership of new skipper Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli quit the Indian T20 team’s captaincy after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 as he already made an announcement in this regard before the tournament began. Now Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian side as a full-time captain for the first time in the match which will be played at Jaipur.

Meanwhile an old tweet of Rohit Sharma is going viral in which he has written, “Touched down on Jaipur, and yes I will be leading the side, looking forward to the added responsibility.” Though this tweet was made by Hitman 9 years ago in 2012, it fits perfectly in the present situation.

He tweeted it on 7th Nov 2012 when he was going to lead his Mumbai team in the Ranji Trophy for the first time at KL Saini Ground and now once again, it will be Jaipur where he will lead the Indian squad for the first time as a full time skipper.

The Indian team had a disastrous ICC T20 World Cup as it was not even able to secure its place in the semi-finals despite the fact that it was considered as one of the favorites to win the tournament in the beginning. India lost its first two matches against Pakistan and New Zealand badly and even three consecutive wins against three weak teams – Scotland, Afghanistan and Namibia were not enough to make it play semi-finals.

On the other hand, New Zealand played some good cricket and reached the finals but lost it to the Australians and it was really heart-breaking for them as earlier they lost the finals of the 2019 ICC World Cup 2019 which they played against England.

As we wrote above, the first T20I match of the series will be played at Jaipur, the second will be played at Ranchi and the third one is scheduled to be played at Kolkata.

All the best team India!

Thief Enters Temple, Prays To God & Runs Away With Donation Box, Arrested Later

It is being said that a person should indulge only in good deeds whether anyone is watching or not because the God is always watching. However, a thief chose to commit theft in a temple and that too after offering prayers and taking blessings of the God.

The incident has taken place near Mumbai on November 9 in a Lord Hanuman temple which is located in Khopat in Thane, Maharashtra. The CCTV footage shows that a masked person who seems to be a young guy enters the temple, is looking around and using his smartphone as if he is trying to ascertain whether anyone is watching him or not. The thief then walks towards the deity, bows down and pays respect by touching the feet of the Lord Hanuman’s idol and after some time, he suddenly lifts the donation box and runs away.

Here is the video of the incident:

When the caretakers of the temple found out about the theft, they made no delay in informing cops. The CCTV footage further proved to be of a great help and eventually the cops succeeded in arresting the thief on Sunday. There were Rs. 1,000 inside the donation box when it was stolen and the money was later recovered from the thief after arrest.

This is the latest addition in the list of weird thefts committed in the recent past.

Earlier few months ago, a thief in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai slept on the terrace of the house where he committed theft. In the morning when the house owner came on terrace for morning walk, he found a person sleeping on his terrace with a bag. The owner silently opened the bag and found out that there were his own valuables inside it. He went down, called the police home and got the thief arrested.

Shoaib Akhtar Unhappy With Warner Becoming Player Of The Tournament, Calls It ‘Unfair Decision’

The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 ended yesterday with Australia winning its first T20 World Cup after defeating New Zealand by 8 wickets in the finals of the tournament played at Dubai International Stadium. The toss was won by the Aussies who decided to bowl first; the Kiwis posted a total of 172/4 on the scoreboard and Kane Williamson played a captain innings as he was the highest scorer with 85 runs for which he faced 48 deliveries and his innings included 10 fours & 3 sixes.

In reply, the Aussies didn’t have a good start as Aaron Finch got out pretty early but David Warner and Mitchell Marsh ensured that they took their team in a strong position. While Warner got out at 53 (38 balls, 4 fours & 3 sixes), Mitchell Marsh remained not out at 77 (50 balls, 6 fours & 4 fours). The Aussies achieved the target with 8 wickets in hand and 7 balls remaining in their innings.

While Mitchell Marsh was adjudged as the Player of the Match, David Warner was declared as the Player of the Tournament as he scored 289 runs in the seven matches that he played for his team; his average was 48.16 and he also scored three half-centuries in the tournament. The best thing for Australia was that the left-handed opener clicked the most when it was needed the most and in the last three matches including the semi-final and final, Warner scored 89 not out, 49 and 53.

However, the former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar was not happy with this decision as he is of the opinion that the player of the tournament award should have gone to the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam under whose leadership the Pakistani team remained unbeaten until the semi-finals.

Shoaib Akhtar tweeted, “Was really looking forward to see @babarazam258 becoming Man of the Tournament. Unfair decision for sure.”

Babar Azam scored 303 runs in the six matches that he played with an average of 60 and he also scored 4 fifties in the tournament. He has also become the No. 1 ranked T20I batter after performing superbly in the T20 World Cup.

Do you agree with Shoaib Akhtar? What do you have to say about it? Let us know your views.

How To Keep Your Valuables Safe While Traveling

Keeping your gadgets safe while traveling can be difficult, especially because the majority of them are easily breakable. Losing money is never pleasant, but regularly losing things that cost several hundred dollars can be crippling to your wallet. Therefore, it’s important to take proactive measures to ensure that you don’t lose or damage anything on your trip.

Photo by Anete Lūsiņa on Unsplash

Here Are 4 Steps You Can Take

1. Before Leaving, Keep The Gear That’s Most Important To You Close

This means your passport, credit cards, and cash should be in a money belt for safety reasons. Additionally, it goes without saying that you should not leave valuables lying around in your hotel or hostel room when you go out, in addition to always hiding them somewhere secure, like under the mattress or behind the headboard of the bed.

A great side tip would be to make space on your PC for your tons of vacation photos and back them up regularly if anything happens to the device itself. Keeping expensive items on your body is also advisable – even if they’re just stuffed into pockets or socks (just remember to take them out before doing activities where these places might get wet).

2. You Should Always Make A List Of What’s In Your Bag And Check It Against The Contents Before Leaving Home

This is good for two reasons: firstly, it will prevent you from accidentally packing something you didn’t mean to pack (like forgetting about the iPad charger after using up all the battery). Secondly, it makes sure that you are aware of what you are carrying around.

If you absolutely need something electronic traveling (especially if it’s expensive), use a plastic bag with your hotel name and room number on it. This is not totally foolproof, but you can deter thieves by making them think that the device is worthless if they break it open to get at its contents.

3. You Never Know What Kind Of Devices Or Software Someone Has On Their Phone

Smartphones are essentially computers in your pocket and can be used to track you. If you aren’t comfortable with the person, don’t get close enough for them to touch your phone (like giving it back when they drop it). Additionally, always set up a passcode on your smartphone (or at least enable PIN unlock) – this will prevent unauthorized access.

If somebody asks you for help with their phone while you’re walking through a busy street, it’s probably a scammer who’s just trying to distract you from your belongings. You should also be wary of hanging out near good ‘pickpocketing‘ spots (like markets), as well-trained thieves often stalk these areas looking for easy targets. If you have enough time to eat lunch in a crowded market without being really close to your belongings, don’t risk it!

4. Finally, Never Bring Anything Irreplaceable

This means don’t carry around any items that are difficult or expensive to replace. Think of things like designer clothes, watches, necklaces, or sentimental gifts from friends and family members. They’re just not worth losing for something so easily replaceable! Additionally, valuables should always be kept in the most secure part of your luggage – remember that thieves can tamper with locks without damaging them too much.
