The South African cricketer Anrich Nortje got all the attention in yesterday’s IPL match which was played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad as he not only won the player of the match award but also bowled eight fastest deliveries of the league.
Surprisingly, Anrich Nortje went unsold during the IPL 2020 but after Chris Woakes pulled out of the tournament, DC signed Anrich Nortje and he ended the IPL 2020 as the second highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets. However in the IPL 2021, he didn’t get the chance to play for his team in the first leg but as he got the opportunity in yesterday’s match, he stole all the limelight.
In DCvsSRH which was played at Dubai International Stadium, the 27 years old cricketer took two important wickets of David Warner (0) and Kedar Jadhav (3) and gave away only 12 runs in his 4 overs. Anrich Nortje recorded four deliveries which were above 150 km/hr, the highest being 151.71 km/hr.
The former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra made a funny tweet in regard to Anrich Nortje’s pace bowling. He shared a tweet which displayed the top 8 fastest deliveries bowled by Anrich Nortje in this season of the IPL and wrote, “Over-speeding ka challan kato” (Fine him for over-speeding).
As far as the yesterday’s match is concerned, SRH won the toss and decided to bat first. However, the start of the SRH innings was not good as David Warner got out on duck and the whole team managed only 134/9 in their 20 overs. In reply, DC lost Prithvi Shaw (11) early but Shikhar Dhawan (42), Shreyas Iyer (47 not out) and Rishabh Pant (35 not out) played good knocks and ensured the victory of their team.
DC is at the top of the point table with 7 wins in 9 matches while SRH is at the bottom with 7 defeats in 8 matches.

The Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer is back on the field after a long time as he suffered shoulder injury earlier this year. He played an important innings of 47 runs not out yesterday for his team Delhi Capitals in the match against Sunrisers Hyderbad and helped his team attain victory.
Shreyas Iyer was appointed as the captain of DC in 2018 after Gautam Gambhir decided to quit but because of his injury, he was not able to play in the first leg of the IPL 2021 and Rishabh Pant was appointed as the team’s skipper. The team performed pretty well under the leadership of Rishabh Pant and when the tournament got postponed due to the COVID-19 scare, DC was at the top of the points table.
Many were expecting that Shreyas Iyer will be handed over the captaincy on his return but the team management of DC decided to stick with Rishabh Pant as the skipper.
While speaking in a match-conference, Shreyas Iyer talks about the issue of captaincy and states that he respects the decision of the franchise to continue with Rishabh Pant as the skipper. He also asserts that he hasn’t gone under any big change after losing his captaincy, in fact he is able to focus more on his batting than before.
Shreyas Iyer further states that the captaincy has helped him in the last two years in terms of temperament and decision-making. He adds that Rishabh Pant has been doing pretty well as the captain because of which the management has decided to let him continue to lead the team in this season. Shreyas also says that as a skipper, he likes to feel the pressure because it results in challenges and he mental state is conditioned to perform well under pressure.
DC is at the top of the points table with 7 wins in the 9 matches that it has played till now and its place in the play-offs seems to be almost certain.
Last year, DC reached the final under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy but lost it to Mumbai Indians. Do you think DC will win its first IPL title this year?

The IPL 2021 which was originally organized in April got postponed midway due to the second wave of COVID-19 and now the second leg of the league is being held in UAE in order to keep the lethal virus away from the tournament. However, COVID-19 has once again scared the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL franchises as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) player T Natarajan tested positive on September 22 before the match between SRH and Delhi Capitals (DC). T Natarajan and six other people who are in close contact with the Indian cricketer have been isolated, though the good news is that no other person in the SRH camp has tested COVID-19 positive.
Earlier, the last test match of the India-England series got cancelled due to the COVID-19 scare after fourth member of the Indian camp tested positive. Though none of the Indian players tested positive, the fifth test match could not take place because the Indian cricketers refused to play the test match as they were scared and terrified because the physio who tested positive was in close contact with them. Many former cricketers including Michael Vaughan blamed the IPL for cancellation of the fifth test match as he opined that the Indian cricketers refused to play the game because they were afraid of testing positive and missing the second leg of the IPL.
After T Natarajan tested positive, Michael Vaughan took a jibe at the BCCI by stating that it will be interesting to see whether the IPL gets cancelled just like the final test match. However, he also adds that he can guarantee the IPL won’t be cancelled.
His tweet read, “Let’s see if the IPL gets cancelled like the last Test!!!!! I guarantee it won’t be … #OnOn”
The situation in Dubai was quite chaotic after the news of T Natarajan testing positive got public but the match between SRH and DC was played as per the schedule. SRH is having a pretty tough time as in the first leg of the IPL 2021, SRH lost 6 out of the 7 matches that it played and now it started the second leg of the tournament by losing its first match to DC.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold in future because one thing is for sure that COVID-19 is not going to leave the IPL 2021 alone whether it is played in India or in UAE.

Diljit Dosanjh is a pretty famous name in the Indian music world as well as in the movie industry. Though he is mainly a Punjabi singer and actor, he has also worked in few Hindi flicks and recently he has talked about his journey in Bollywood.
In an interview, Diljit states that he is not very much keen on working in Bollywood and he is pretty happy with his music as he can make his music without anybody’s interference. He goes on to say that no superstar can tell him that this type of music will work and some other kind of music won’t work. As per him, he is proud of the fact that the Punjabi singers are quite independent when it comes to making their own music and he will keep on making music till the time he will like to or God allows him to do. He also says that he doesn’t even care about working in Bollywood as he has no desire of becoming a great actor.
When Diljit Dosanjh was asked about his experience of working in Bollywood, he laughed and said that if he would speak anything, it would create controversy so it is better to keep away from all such things.
Diljit further adds that eyes speak a lot and in filmmaking, you can convey your thoughts even without getting lines as an actor’s expressions and eyes will say everything. He also did not shy away from saying that he is not very fond of any actor or director or anybody else, they can be the superstars in their homes.
In the words of Diljit Dosanjh,
“Superstar honge apne ghar pe. Baat niklegi toh door tak jayegi. Bach jao jitna bach sakte ho”.
It seems that the Punjabi actor is not happy with Bollywood but he has not openly talked about anything either. Only time will tell what has happened if things ever get revealed!

The coronavirus pandemic tumbled our lives in a pretty big manner, while a number of people lost their jobs, there were many who lost their lives. The scientists and researchers worked pretty hard and came up with the vaccine which can protect us from the lethal virus and the PM Modi-led central government started vaccination drives in order to get people vaccinated. There is no denying the fact that the vaccination drive is going at a pretty good speed in the country but as we are the second most populated country of the world, it will undoubtedly take a little time in getting all the Indian citizens vaccinated.
We all know that COVID-19 is a life-taking disease and vaccination is the only way by which we can save ourselves but there are still many people who are not willing to take the jab. While some feel that this whole vaccination thing is a scam, several others are afraid of taking the vaccine as they opine that it will have negative side-effects on their body and there are few who don’t want to get vaccinated because they have a fear of the syringe.
A video is going viral on the Internet and social media in which a person is seen making utmost efforts not to get vaccinated but his friends are adamant and are forcibly taking him to the medical center. The incident took place in Sagar city, Madhya Pradesh, and in the end of the video, it is seen that the friends somehow manage to overpower the guy and succeed in getting him vaccinated by the medical staff.
Here is the video:

T Natarajan, the Indian cricketer, could have been a great asset for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup as he is known for bowling accurate Yorkers which may be of much help in the short format. However, the pacer failed to find a place in the 15-member Indian squad because he has been away from cricket for almost five months due to his knee injury.
Natarajan got his knee injured on the Australian tour where he went as a net bowler but made his debut for the country because many senior players were injured. His knee injury got serious during the first leg of the IPL 2021 and since then, he hasn’t played any cricket match.
The Indian chief selector Chetan Sharma revealed some time ago that T Natarajan’s name was discussed but because of his injury and his lack of game practice, the selectors chose not to include him in the team. In fact, Natarajan was also not expecting a call for the T20 World Cup as he was aware of the fact that he had not played any competitive cricket for more than five months so it was impossible for him to get a call. In an interview, the cricketer who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL says that he is not at all disappointed for not getting selected for T20WC.
Natarajan further adds that if the selection had taken place after the second leg of the IPL 2021, there would have been a chance of him to get a place in the squad. However, he also said that he hoped of going to the World Cup as a net bowler. He added that he was focusing on recovering from injury and playing the IPL and everything would happen on its own.
While T Natarajan was gearing up for today’s match of Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals, there is news that the cricketer has tested COVID-19 positive and he has isolated himself.
Talking about the position of SRH in the IPL 2021, it is at the bottom of the points table with 1 win and 6 losses in 7 matches that it has played and the team rarely has a chance of entering the play-offs.
