The cricket lovers all over the world are quite excited as the second leg of the IPL 2021 has started and we have already witnessed a couple of nail-biting contests. Yesterday, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 2 runs as RR bowler Kartik Tyagi bowled superbly in the last over. PBKS needed four runs to win in the last over but they managed to take only one run as Kartik Tyagi not only stopped them from making runs but also took 2 wickets. The young lad who is pretty similar to Neeraj Chopra in terms of looks was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his amazing performance.
While fans of PBKS and many cricketing experts find it difficult to believe that the Punjab franchise was not able to score 4 runs in the last over, there were many who were quite unhappy with the fact that the West Indian legend Chris Gayle was not included in the playing squad of Punjab. What hurt fans more was that the Universe Boss, as fans lovingly call Gayle, turned 42 yesterday and he didn’t get to play on the day of his birthday. Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and former England player Kevin Pietersen also could not understand the reason behind omitting Chris Gayle and they clearly expressed their displeasure during the commentary.
Chris Gayle is one of the most destructive batsmen of the cricket world and not including him in the playing eleven is something that is beyond the understanding of majority of the cricket fans. Usually, Chris Gayle plays as an opener but for PBKS, he comes third in the batting line-up and he was superb in the IPL 2020 which was also played in UAE. As far as his performance in the first leg of the IPL 2021 is concerned, it can be called decent as he scored 178 runs in 8 matches before the league got postponed due to the COVID-19 scare.
Chris Gayle’s average performance in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021 may have prompted the PBKS team management to make him sit out. However still fans never expected this at least on Gayle’s birthday as they were hoping to see Gayle storm on the special day of the legend. Some people are also saying that the PBKS management has taken an action against Chris Gayle because of his tweet in which he talked about going to Pakistan.

The famous comedian Kapil Sharma is back with his popular and loved TV show and he along with his team is making sure that people have a great time and some moments of laughter. While the majority of guests on The Kapil Sharma Show are from Bollywood, sometimes people from the sports fraternity also grace the show and this time we will get to see two famous cricketers of the 90s on TKSS.
Recently, Virender Sehwag appeared on the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati which is hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan with the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and now he will appear on Kapil Sharma’s show with his friend and former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif who is certainly one of the best fielders of all times of the cricket world.
During the show, there were many moments which made everyone laugh out loud; for example – when Kapil asked Viru paaji whether he indulges in household chores and Sehwag replied that he is Nawab Of Najafgarh so why he would do household chores.
The ace comedian also talked about the time when legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag used to share the Indian dressing room and Sachin used to give bananas to Sehwag whenever he wanted to stop him from speaking. Kapil also asked Virender Sehwag as to whom he will like to give bananas and in response, Sehwag passed on a banana to Kapil in a funny manner but also said that if he stops speaking, his show won’t do well.
If you have been watching The Kapil Sharma Show, you must be knowing that a new segment “Post ka Post Mortem” has started in the show from this season and in this segment, Kapil shows the Instagram posts of the guests with the funny comments made by online users. Earlier, Mohammad Kaif posted a photo with the gorgeous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with the caption, “Delightful conversation with a wonderful person”.

The IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore performed pretty well in the first leg of the IPL 2021 as it won 5 out of 7 matches that it played and after such a wonderful show, fans expected a lot from Virat Kohli led team in the second leg of the tournament too. However, RCB had a pretty disappointing outing against Kolkata Knight Riders in its first encounter of the league’s second leg which was played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Virat Kohli’s RCB won the toss and went for batting first but it had a terrible start as the skipper who opened the innings for his team got out for just 5 runs. Devdutt Padikkal (22) and Srikar Bharat (16) tried to stabilize the innings but after they got out, the RCB star-studded batting line-up which also includes AB de Villiers crumbled against the KKR bowling. This was the sixth time in the IPL that AB de Villiers got out for golden duck and while 7 RCB batters failed to touch double digit, the squad failed to touch three-digit mark as the whole team got out for just 92 runs.
In reply, KKR openers Shubman Gill (48) and Venkatesh Iyer (41) played superbly and ensured that their team ended the match as a winner. Shubman Gill got out on the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal but by that time, KKR was totally in control of the game. KKR won the game with 10 overs remaining and RCB fans were pretty much in shock after seeing their favourite team losing so badly.
However there was one more incident which got a lot of attention and it involved the New Zealand cricketer Kyle Jamieson who has been bought by RCB for a huge amount of Rs. 15 crore. When RCB was struggling at the score of 53/4 in the 10th over, the cameraman focused on the RCB dugout where Kyle Jamieson was seen padded up and ready to take the field but he was continuously looking and smiling at the RCB massage therapist Navnita Gautam.

Navnita Gautam is RCB’s massage therapist who is basically from Canada and has also worked with Toronto Nationals during the Global T20 Canada League as well as with the Indian women’s basketball team in the Asia Cup. Navnita Gautam is the only female support staff member in the IPL as of now as only one team (Deccan Chargers) hired two women support staff members in the history of the tournament but that franchise is defunct now.

Though eating out is a great concept as dining out with family or friends refreshes and rejuvenates us, there are times when are not in the mood to get dressed up and drive up to the restaurant and in such moments, these food delivery apps are of great use. The use of Zomato and Swiggy increased manifold in the times of the coronavirus pandemic as the governments of various states restricted people from eating in restaurants but take away was allowed.

It is completely true that the work of food delivery executives is quite tough as they have to drive a lot in order to deliver food on time irrespective of how the weather is, be it summers, winters or rainy season.
However, despite the fact that these food delivery persons have to face many hardships, a mall in Udaipur has done something which will not only make the work of these food delivery guys tough but it is also against humanity.
The management of a mall in Udaipur has put up a poster which prohibits the food delivery executives of Zomato and Swiggy from using lifts and they are instructed to use stairs for delivering food.
A journalist Sobhana K Nair shared the photo of the notice with the caption, “Modern day feudalism”.
In her second tweet, she reveals that this is a food court/mall in Udaipur. Here is what she tweeted, “This is a food court/mall in Udaipur. It is absolutely disgusting”.
