Anand Mahindra Shares Video Of “Pure Gold Ferrari Car”, Starts A Debate On Twitter

Owning a car used to be a great thing in the past but nowadays buying a car is not a big deal as people get car loans very easily. However there are still some parameters which a person keeps in mind while choosing a car and these parameters are – the car’s price, its average, how many people it can accommodate, etc. Nevertheless, there is a segment of customers who buy cars for maintaining their status and they don’t mind spending a huge amount for it. Moreover, usually they also love to have sports and luxury cars to add to their lavishness.

One such rich person has taken his love of having a sports car to the next level by owning the gold version of Ferrari car. A video is going viral on the Internet in which an Indian-American individual is seen flaunting his golden Ferrari in public and the crowd is capturing the beauty with their smartphone cameras.

A note in the video reads, “Indian-American with pure gold Ferrari car” and the video has also been shared by the chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra.

Anand Mahindra is pretty active on the social media networks, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter, and is known for sharing some great things with people but this time he seems to be a little upset with the owner of the Italian car Ferrari. While sharing the video, Anand Mahindra wrote, “I don’t know why this is going around on social media unless it is a lesson on how NOT to spend your money when you are wealthy…”

While some online users agreed with Anand Mahindra who himself heads automobile companies, there were several others who pointed out that it is not necessary for the car to be gold-plated because many people also use gold vinyl for this purpose. In fact, few netizens shared the photos of golden cars which they have seen on the Indian roads and here are the selected reactions:

Well, all that glitters is not gold! Do you think that this car is made of pure gold? Are you going to get your car covered with gold vinyl after seeing this?

Coach Mickey Arthur’s Reaction Post Sri Lanka’s Defeat In 2nd ODI Sparks Meme Fest On Twitter

The Sri Lankan cricket team is certainly not in a good condition as it has been losing more than winning and it will need to play qualifiers for the World Cup which is definitely not a good sign for a team that has won the World Cup in 1996. Some time ago, the Sri Lankan team lost the 3-match ODI series and 3-match T20I series to England and now they are again at the losing end in the 3-match ODI series against India as the visitors have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0.

What would have hurt the Sri Lankan team and its fans the most was that the SL side was having an upper hand in the second ODI and there was a time when its victory looked certain. The Sri Lankans appeared to be better prepared in the second ODI as its openers gave a good start by producing a partnership of 77 runs for the first wicket and couple of middle-order batsmen also made useful contributions. Although the team kept on losing wickets at a regular interval, it still managed to put up a score of 275/9 on the board which was higher than the score that it made in the first ODI.

The Sri Lankan bowlers also bowled in a better manner as they didn’t let the Indian openers Prithvi Shaw (13) and Shikhar Dhawan (29) bat as freely as they batted in the first ODI. Though Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 53 runs and couple of other middle order batsmen also made useful contributions, it was not enough as India had lost their 7 batsmen at the score of 193 runs in the 36th over.

The Indian squad needed 83 runs in around 15 overs with Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the crease and Sri Lanka had a golden chance because it needed to send only three lower order batsmen back to pavilion to win the match. But Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar showed some great determination and fighting spirit and produced a partnership of 84 runs to help the Indian team emerge as victorious in the second ODI. Deepak Chahar played a superb knock of 69 runs not out in 82 deliveries (7 fours & 1 six) and he was well supported by Bhuvneshwar Kumar who scored 19 runs not out in 28 balls (2 fours).

After this loss in the second ODI, the head coach of the Sri Lankan team Mickey Arthur seemed to be quite frustrated which is understandable as after a long time, the Sri Lankan side was close to victory and later on, he also had a heated debate with the Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka.

Mickey Arthur’s antics were soon noticed by the online community and the micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with memes and jokes in this regard.

Let’s see whether the Indians will be able to clean sweep the series on July 25 or the hosts will save their respect by registering a win in the third and the final ODI.

Deepak Chahar’s Father Reveals The Biggest Regret Of Deepak’s Cricket Career

Deepak Chahar was a pretty popular name even before he went on the Sri Lanka tour for playing the limited overs cricket as he plays for MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and in quite a few matches, he has played an important role in CSK’s win. However after the second ODI against Sri Lanka, he has become a household name and an Internet sensation as he played a fighting knock of 69 runs to take his team home as a winner.

Nevertheless, there is a regret that Deepak Chahar has and it is in regard to his listing in the IPL draft in 2018. The right-handed batsman regrets of listing himself as an all-rounder instead of a bowler in the IPL draft, while his cousin Rahul Chahar got listed himself as a bowler.

This made a big difference as Rahul Chahar was bought by Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians for a big amount of Rs. 1.9 crores but Deepak Chahar was purchased for just Rs. 80 lakhs by CSK. The Chahar family was quite happy for Rahul but they also felt that Deepak could have earned more if he had listed himself as a bowler.

Recently, Deepak Chahar’s father Lokander Chahar opened up on this matter in an interview with a leading daily. He said that it was their fault as Deepak listed his name as an all-rounder while Rahul went as a bowler because the option of choosing the all-rounder category came later.

Lokander Chahar added that Rahul was bought early and by the time Deepak’s name came in the auction, most of the franchises had exhausted their funds otherwise Deepak would have been bought for around Rs. 2 crores. Deepak’s father also said that they were sure of Rahul being bought for a huge amount so they were not surprised with that.

According to Lokander Chahar, Deepak understands that he can’t be one-dimensional player because of which he is working hard on his batting as well. Deepak has played some useful innings for his Rajasthan team in the domestic cricket and has also proved his batting skills to the CSK management by batting well in the IPL whenever he has got the chance.

Talking about India vs Sri Lanka, Deepak Chahar was adjourned as the Player of the Match in the second ODI as he gave an all-round performance by scoring 69 runs not out which was instrumental in chasing the target of 275 runs and he also took 2 wickets.

The third and final ODI of the series will be played on July 25 and India will certainly like to whitewash the Sri Lankans while the latter will try to save some respect by attaining victory in the third ODI.

Representational Image

Man Tries To Mock Someone’s English Grammar On LinkedIn, Gets Schooled In A Kickass Way

The English language is quite important in our country as a person needs to be proficient in English if he wants to get a good job in the corporate world. However, being proficient doesn’t mean that you are entitled to make fun of those who are weak in the English grammar.

Representational Image

Sahil Vaidya, the co-founder of The Minimalist, made a post on LinkedIn in which he made fun of someone who made an error in the English grammar. He posted, “When someone says, “Your screen is getting stucked, I cant able to it”, you wonder what to fix first: the screen or their grammar”.

While Sahil Vaidya may have made the post just to make his friend and followers laugh, it didn’t go well with Arti Gupta, the co-founder at StyleNook. She posted a long comment in which she wrote that the first thing that needed to be changed here is attitude and she also pointed out some errors in Vaidya’s English.

Her reply read, “Perhaps attitude may be the first thing to fix here.

Since we’re on the topic of grammar, here are some minor observations – a few things you may want to fix. The cant is missing an apostrophe – should be can’t. The comma needs to be before closing quotes, not after. And Co-Founder is incorrect grammar. Capitalization after hyphenation is a cardinal sin.

Jokes apart – it’s easy to poke fun at other people’s grammar. I would understand if this were a remark about a marketing tagline, but it is a jibe at someone trying to do their job and communicating clearly. As long as communication is lucid, in our time and age of a diverse and global economy, one is better off leaving judgment at the door.

Also, you’re missing a full stop in your statement. Just saying’!”

A Twitter user shared the screenshot of the post on the micro-blogging site Twitter with the caption, “This guy got schooled on Linkedin and how!!”

The tweet has gone viral and it has been liked by more than 17k users while around 2.5K people have retweeted it. Soon Twitterati started expressing their opinions in this regard and while some trolled Sahil Vaidya, few people pointed out that Arti Gupta is acting a little smart.

Planning A Wedding? Make It Unique With These 5 Ideas

Weddings! It’s an exciting time for any bride and bridegroom, from getting the flowers ready to looking forward to seeing great aunt Jane!

Don’t Go Bridezilla

Weddings involve a lot of planning and, although exciting, can be a stressful time, especially for the bride (and the bride’s long-suffering best friends!). One of the biggest stressors is creating a unique wedding, especially if you are trying to keep costs to a sensible level.

Luckily, though, many creative wedding ideas are out there to try, including these five below!

Get creative with your wedding hashtag!

A unique way to add a personal touch to your wedding is by creating a bespoke hashtag or using your own name as the hashtag.

There are two basic ways to do this: one way is by setting up a Twitter account just for the wedding and then creating an account on Tweetdeck to manage it. This allows you to make sure your bespoke hashtag is used throughout the day and by guests as they post their photos on social media.

You can also use the bespoke hashtag on your wedding invitations and other stationery items, which add a nice personal touch to your day!

Book amazing entertainment!

One thing that will really make your wedding unique is by booking some amazing entertainment. This could be a duo, a musical band, or a festival DJ. Whatever you go for, it’s sure to add a touch of sparkle to the day.

Always make sure you pick the Wedding Entertainment that you would like to listen to or be entertained by, and this also runs to picking songs and music that you like and the standard party set.

Have a wedding guestbook alternative!

Many people getting married now are part of an age group that doesn’t normally write a lot of letters, so perhaps you might want to find something else for them to leave their message upon.

Maybe you could have a photo booth with props? Or even better, ask them to record a video message for the happy couple that they can watch back when they return from their honeymoon.

Be creative! There’s more than one way of doing things, and you don’t have to stick with tradition.

Have a creative and unique bridal shower!

If you are having a bridal shower, why not do something different? You can have people bring you a gift that they have made themselves as opposed to store-bought items. This is especially nice for items such as the kitchen, such as other practical gifts you can use in your home.

This is probably something that can be done with a lot less expensive than having an elaborate party!

Have a wedding date that is different from the traditional one!

If you are having your wedding in a religious building or anywhere else that doesn’t have a standard date, research the times of weddings at the place.

You could also look at doing something unique with the time, for example, if most people will be arriving after 10:00 am, but your family and friends are coming over from a long way, and they can’t get there until after 12:00 pm, what would you do?
