TN Man Offers Students Who Fail Class 10 Exams Free Stay In Kodaikanal To Get Rid Of Stress

The coronavirus pandemic may have changed many things in our lives but one thing that it has not changed at all is the pressure of studies. In fact, it won’t be wrong to say that marks and percentages get more importance nowadays in comparison to earlier and for parents, their kid’s score in exams is a matter of prestige as they have to compete with their neighbours or colleagues because of which they always pressurize their children to score more marks than the kids of their neighbours or colleagues.

Representational Image

This pressure increases manifold if a student has to give board exams of class 10 and 12 and while the toppers and the high marks scorers are praised, the students who are not able to score god marks or who failed are ridiculed and slammed big time by everyone around them.

However, Sudheesh K has a different mindset and he has come up with a great offer for those students who have failed the class 10 board examinations. In order to provide moral support to the failed students, Sudheesh K who is from Tamil Nadu and is the owner of many homestays has offered such students to come to Kodaikanal with their families and stay at any of his homestays for 2 days but they need to provide their certificate as a proof.

Sudheesh K said that since the class 10 results were announced, many stories of toppers were getting shared but no one was willing to see the other side of the story and they did not want to talk about those who failed and would have to bear humiliation. He added that because of this, he thought of doing something for the class 10 students who could not pass the examinations.

Talking about his homestays, Sudheesh says that the place is very silent and offers soothing environment which is best to get rid of stress. He adds that in earlier times, people were open towards accepting failure but nowadays kids and their families are under huge pressure which makes it difficult for them to accept failure.

Sudheesh K has also makes it clear that only those failed students will be allowed to stay at the homestay who come with family. For quite some time now, the staff of Sudheesh has been receiving calls by the kids who are asking whether they can visit with their friends also.

What a great and out-of-the-box initiative!

Twitter Lashes Out At Krunal Pandya As Deepak Hooda Exits Baroda Team & Joins Rajasthan

The young Indian cricketer Deepak Hooda has finally left the Baroda Ranji team and now he will represent Rajasthan in the domestic circuits. Deepak Hooda was a part of the Baroda team since 2013 but some time back, he got involved in a dispute with the Baroda team skipper Krunal Pandya.

Deepak alleged that Krunal abused him, mentally harassed him, didn’t let him practice, etc. and he wrote all this in detail in an email to the Baroda Cricket Association but surprisingly it was Hooda who was banned by the BCA for the whole season as a part of the disciplinary action taken against him.

At that time, the former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan who also played for Baroda expressed his disappointment over the manner in which the matter was handled and after the news of Deepak Hooda shifting to Rajasthan surfaced, Irfan Pathan showed no hesitation in saying that he is utterly disappointed.

Irfan asks as to how many cricket associations will be ready to lose out on a player who has bright chances of getting into the Indian cricket team and as Deepak is just 26 yrs old, he would have played for the team for minimum 10 years. Irfan adds that Hooda’s exit is a huge loss for the Baroda team.

This is what Irfan Pathan tweeted, “How many cricket associations will lose out on a player who is in the Indian team probables list? Deepak Hooda leaving Baroda cricket is a huge loss. He could have easily given his services for another ten years as he is still young. As a Barodian, it’s utterly disappointing!”

The cricket fans also felt annoyed after they got to know about Deepak Hooda’s exit from the Baroda team and they blamed Krunal Pandya for it. Here are some of the selected reactions:

Deepak Hooda has received the no-objection certificate for joining the Rajasthan team and he says that though it is heart-breaking to leave Baroda, he is sure that it is the best decision for him after speaking with his coaches and well-wishers.

Deepak Hooda was last seen playing in the IPL 2021 for Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab) before the tournament got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and his performance was decent in the tournament. The remaining matches of the IPL 2021 will now be played at UAE in the months of September-October.

Michael Vaughan Hilariously Reacts To Wasim Jaffer Being Appointed As Odisha Head Coach

Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer, is certainly a Twitter star as he is known for posting funny memes on various issues and activities taking place in the game and also for trolling the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan.

Recently the Odisha Cricket Association appointed Wasim Jaffer as the head coach of the state’s senior team for two seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23). This information was shared by a cricket portal on the micro-blogging site Twitter and Michael Vaughan took it as an opportunity to post a funny tweet in this regard.

Michael Vaughan reacted by asking, “Does he need an assistant?”

The Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli is in England as of now as they are supposed to play 5-match test series against the hosts but the officials of both the teams are quite worried now as the Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has tested COVID-19 positive and he won’t be travelling to Durham where the Indian team will be playing a warm-up match.

Michael Vaughan has also expressed his concern over organizing The Hundred and 5-match test series between India and England. Though the cricket is being played in the bio-bubble environment, some players or staff members have still tested positive for COVID-19. Recently, some player of the England cricket team tested COVID-19 positive because of which a second-string team of England had to play against Pakistan.

Michael Vaughan states that the isolation laws need to be changed otherwise the players will keep on getting infected with COVID-19 just like Rishabh Pant. The former England skipper adds that he is worried not just for The Hundred and the India-England series but also for the Ashes.

This is what Vaughan tweeted, “I fear for the 100 & the Indian Test series unless the isolation laws change .. we are bound to have cases as is the case with @RishabhPant17 .. plus further down the line I fear the Ashes could be hugely affected with players pulling out unless bubbles/quarantine rules change !”

We certainly agree with Michael Vaughan that things need to be addressed in a prompt manner otherwise many other players may test COVID-19 positive.

Dhawan Playing Kishore Kumar’s Song On Flute & Prithvi Shaw Singing Along Is A Treat For Fans

The Indian team led by Shikhar Dhawan is having a little fun time in Sri Lanka as the 3-match ODI series has been rescheduled to start from July 18 instead of July 13 as some members of the Sri Lankan group have been tested COVID-19 positive. Shikhar Dhawan has a reputation of an entertainer whether he is on the field or off the field and he ensures that he remains in touch with his fans and followers through social media networks. Recently, the left-handed opener posted a video in which he displayed his skills of playing the musical instrument flute and his teammate Prithvi Shaw was seen giving his voice to the song.

The tune which is being played by Shikhar Dhawan is “Yeh Shaam Mastani” which was sung by the legendary Bollywood playback singer Kishore Kumar for Rajesh Khanna and Asha Parekh starrer 1971 released “Kati Patang”. While Shikhar Dhawan played the music, Prithvi Shaw made it more melodious by singing it in his soft voice.

Dhawan posted the video with the caption, “Thursday tunes featuring our in-house superstar singer Prithvi Shaw”.

Here is the video:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent the Indian team under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan to Sri Lanka as the senior team which include players like Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, etc. is in England nowadays and it will be facing the English squad in the 5-match test series under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

The Indian squad for Sri Lanka is relatively less experienced but it is still a very strong team as it has players like Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Prithvi Shaw, etc. who have the ability to play match-winning knocks whenever the team needs. The Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team while the former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid will serve as the head coach of this Indian squad.

The Indian cricketers are really talented, aren’t they? Moreover, it’s no less than a treat if fans get to hear something of this sort aside from watching their brilliant knocks on the field. What do you say?

UP Police’s Tweet On Importance Of Wearing Mask During COVID-19 Pandemic Is Bang On

The situation of the coronavirus pandemic in India is under control now, however a couple of Indian states are still registering good number of COVID-19 positive patients daily and we still need to follow the safety protocols. Though the vaccination drive in the country is in full swing nowadays, people need to understand that they should keep on following the safety protocols.

However, the visuals that we are getting from the hill stations such are Nainital, Shimla, Mussoorie, etc. are really scary. Tourists are seen without masks and they are not even practicing social distancing. In fact, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also warned the citizens that if they keep on behaving like this, nobody will be able to stop the third wave.

It has been observed that people have become carefree and leave aside maintaining social distancing, they have also stopped wearing mask which is quite important in the fight against the lethal virus.

The police departments have also contributed immensely in this war against COVID-19. They have kept a watch over people so that they follow the rules in correct manner and recently they used their Twitter accounts for reminding people about the importance of wearing masks.

In a tweet made by UP Police, they posted a photo of a doormat with tagline, “Mask Devo Bhav” which resembles to “Athithi Devo Bhav”.

The writing on the doormat reads “Press Enter, if you are masked” and they captioned the photo, “A Home Sweet Home needs to be a ‘Safe Home’ too ! Stay masked & ask everyone around you to follow suit.”

Twitter also loved creativity of the UP Police and this is how people reacted:

We also request our readers to wear a mask whenever they go out of the house as it will play an important role in saving you from COVID-19.

Ashwin Takes A Funny Dig At Twitter User Who Tries To Target Him Over Mankading Incident

The Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is all set to face the England team in the 5-match test series as he took 6 wickets for Surrey in a county game against Somerset. In the 15 overs that he bowled, Ashwin gave only 27 runs and it won’t be wrong to say that if he performs in the same manner against England, India will have pretty good chances of winning the series.

R Ashwin is very active on the social media networks and recently an online user once again brought up the topic of mankading on Twitter. If you remember, during an IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Ravichandran Ashwin (the then skipper of KXIP) mankaded Jos Buttler as he went out of the crease (non-striker end) even before the bowler (Ashwin) threw the ball.

Many people including former cricketers slammed R Ashwin for going against the sportsman spirit while some defended his move. However, the criticism has had no effect on the Tamil Nadu cricketer and he has made it clear to everyone that he has done nothing which is against the laws of the game so he will certainly repeat it if he gets a chance.

The online user shared a video clip dating back to India’s tour of South Africa in 1992-93. On that tour, in the first match, Kapil Dev warned Peter Kirsten when he went out of the crease even before the ball was thrown but when Peter Kirsten repeated the same thing in the second match, Kapil Dev who looked very annoyed mankaded Peter Kirsten.

Here is the video:

The online user stated that Kapil Dev was fair as he warned Kirsten first and then got him out when he repeated the act. He added that Kapil Dev didn’t stop for mankading Kirsten and he also didn’t wait for him to go out of the crease.

The online user tagged Ashwin and some others including Dinesh Karthik, Harsha Bhogle, etc. in his tweet. The Indian spinner R Ashwin also didn’t take much time in responding and made it clear that he would do it again if the batsman leaves the crease. He also takes a jibe at the online user, saying that he (Ashwin) will certainly take permission from him before doing so and also requests him not to tell his (Ashwin) parents about it.

R Ashwin’s reply read, “I would do it again if a batsman goes out of the crease. I would also like to seek your permission to do the same cos if a bowler needs to run a batter out that way, he/she needs to premeditate the same and hopefully you will approve of the same and not tell my parents about it.”
