Restaurant Owner Takes Staff On A Trip To Vegas For Working Hard During COVID Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has been pretty harsh on all and sundry, while some of us have been fortunate enough to retain their jobs, several others have been quite unlucky as they lost their jobs but there are very few who are as lucky as the employees of a restaurant based in Louisville, USA.

You will be shocked to know that even in such critical times when the owner of the restaurant noticed that his staff members gave so much of efforts and worked very hard, he decided to take them to a vacation in Vegas and closed the restaurant for a week.

We are talking about Ramen House and the name of the restaurant’s owner is Jonathan Ham. In an interview, Jonathan Ham says that he feels it should not be about money always and his people love working for the eatery. He adds that his staff members believe in being a part of the restaurant and the trip to Vegas is just a gesture of thanks from his side.

The owner paid the travel expenses of 12 employees and those employees who were not able to go on the trip were paid bonuses. The information regarding the trip was given by the restaurant through its Facebook page in which it posted the photos of its employees who were waiting at the airport.

The caption on the post read, “Sorry we are closed this week.. our employees have worked so hard and diligently through all the crazy times we went through. They deserve a break. So we’ve decided to take them to Vegas. We will return next week during normal business hours. Till then ✌.”

The post soon went viral and they got invited at Manizza’s Pizza Parlor’s, Vegas, for enjoying an Italian treat. Ramen House posted about it as well on its Instagram page and it also informed that the owner of Manizza’s Pizza Parlor’s is also from Louisville, USA.

We sincerely hope that other employers also take a note from the owner of Ramen House and treat their employees in a better manner. Who won’t like to work for this restaurant?

Twitter Trolls Javed Akhtar For Suggesting Use Of ‘HESH’ & ‘SHIM’ As Gender Neutral Words

Many times we have seen people debating over the matter of using he/she or his/her for the writing or speaking purposes as they feel that the use of he/his is insulting towards the female gender. This has resulted in increasing demand of using she/her for the writing purposes especially and due to this, the veteran Bollywood lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar has come up with two words which are gender neutral so that equal respect is given to both the genders. The two words that are invented by Javed Akhtar are HESH for he/she and SHIM for him/her.

Javed Akhtar took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “In any speech article or conversation to give equal respect to both the genders we constantly say and write he / she and Him or her. Why can’t we invent two words like for he/she – HESH and for him/ her – SHIM”.

Soon the tweet went viral and people started reminding the lyricist that there are already “they/them” words in the English language which are gender neutral. Some Twitterati objected by saying that he is identifying only two genders and there are some who are not a part of both these genders while several others troll Javed Akhtar, saying that the old man has lost it.

Wasim Jaffer Compares England Football Manager With Shah Rukh In A Movie Post Euro Defeat

Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer, is known for posting superb tweets on various occasions. Whether it’s wishing on birthday to someone, sharing his opinion on any issue or giving a perfect reply to the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan, he certainly knows how to make people smile.

He once again displayed his pretty good observation skills when he made a tweet after Italy defeated England in the finals of the Euro Cup 2020. Italy won the match in the penalty shoot out by 3-2 and Wasim Jaffer then posted a tweet in which he used a collage of two photos.

One image was of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan from the movie “Chak De! India” while the second photo was of England manager Gareth Southgate. Jaffer compared both of them as Shah Rukh’s character in the movie was of a hockey player who was slammed by people as they felt that SRK’s character helped Pakistan in the winning a crucial game.

However later on, Shah Rukh Khan was appointed the coach of the Indian women’s hockey team and he helped them in winning the World Cup. On the other hand, Gareth Southgate lost the Euro Cup in 1996 in a penalty shootout when he used to play football and now he again lost the match as a manager and that too in a penalty shootout.

Wasim Jaffer captioned the tweet, “Only if it was a Bollywood movie #EURO2020 #GarethSouthgate #Italy #ItsGoingRome”

Currently, Argentina is also celebrating in a wild manner as its football team led by Lionel Messi has broken the 28 years old jinx and won the Copa America Cup after defeating Brazil by 1-0.

The cricket fans will also have a great time from tomorrow as the Indian cricket squad led by Shikhar Dhawan will be playing limited overs cricket starting tomorrow. Team India will be playing 3 ODIs and the same number of T20Is against Sri Lanka on this tour.

James Neesham Takes A Dig At Boundary Rule Post England Lost Euro 2020 On Penalty Shootout

The 2019 World Cup final which was played between New Zealand and England was one of the most controversial matches of the cricket history. Batting first, the Kiwis gave a target of 242 to the England team that managed 241 runs because of which the game ended in a tie.

The match went into Super Over and the team which had scored more runs would have been the winner but both the teams ended up scoring 15 runs. However, the authorities came up with the decision of declaring England as the winner because they had scored more boundaries.

This led to a heated debate as majority of the cricket fans were completely against of this rule which has been scrapped now but it certainly resulted in New Zealand losing the chance of winning the World Cup title. The New Zealand players including Jimmy Neesham were very frustrated because of this defeat and Neesham even asked kids not to take sports as a career in a tweet that he posted.

On July 12, the Euro Cup 2020 final which was played between England and Italy ended up in a tie with both the teams scoring 1 goal each and the game went into penalty shootout. Italy emerged as the winner as they scored 3 goals while England managed only 2 and this gave a chance to Jimmy Neesham to take a dig at the boundary rule.

Jimmy Neesham took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Why is it a penalty shootout and not just whoever made the most passes wins? #joking 😂

It was not difficult for fans to understand what Jimmy Neesham was talking about, however there is nothing that can be done in this regard so it is better to let go the past. What do you say?

Facebook Makes Epic Blunder While Translating Lionel Messi’s Post After Copa America Win

The Argentinean footballer Lionel Messi and the whole Argentinean team got a grand welcome in their country as they returned after winning the Copa América Cup. Argentina defeated Brazil in the finals on 10th July by 1-0 at the Maracana Stadium, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and this victory matters more for Argentina as it is after 28 years that it has won any major title. The last time when Argentina won a major title was in 1993 when it won the Copa America after defeating Mexico by 2-1.

Fans were also very happy for their favourite footballer Lionel Messi who has earlier lost three Copa America finals and a World Cup final. For Messi fans, this victory also brings an end to the debate of who the GOAT (greatest of all times) is between Lionel Messi and Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 34 years old footballer who has won the Ballon d’Or Awards six times took to the social networking site Facebook to express his happiness. Lionel Messi posted a photo of himself with trophy and wrote, “Que hermosa locura !!! Esto es increíble , Gracias dios !!! SOMOS CAMPEONES LA CONCHA DE SU MADRE !!!!!! Vamossss carajooooo.”

The Google translation of this statement is, “What a beautiful madness !!! This is amazing, thank you God !!! WE ARE CHAMPIONS THE SHELL OF YOUR MOTHER !!!!!! Come on damn”.

However, Facebook made a big mistake when a cuss word appeared in its translation, “What a beautiful madness!!! This is amazing, thank God!!! WE ARE CHAMPIONS THE CONCHA OF YOUR MOTHER!!!!!! Let’s go f**k it”.

Lionel Messi who is also the captain of the Argentinean team was seen going down on his knees as tears rolled down his eyes and soon he was surrounded by his teammates.

We are quite sure that the celebrations in Argentina will go on for quite some time now as Lionel Messi has broken the 28 years old drought.
