The coronavirus pandemic not only changed our lives to a great extent but also affected our mental condition in an adverse manner. In the times of the pandemic, majority of us were forced to remain indoors and we missed our regular outings, trips, dining out, etc. as this was the best way to save ourselves for the COVID-19 virus.

Though the situation of the coronavirus pandemic is under control in India now and almost all the states have eased the restrictions, it doesn’t mean that the citizens can be careless and avoid practicing the COVID-19 protocols.
As the temperature is soaring high in the north India, tourists are flocking in huge numbers at the hill stations such as Shimla, Manali, Nainital, etc. Few days ago, some photos from Manali went viral on the Internet and social media networks in which it was seen that a large number of tourists are visiting the city. While practicing social distancing is highly difficult or rather impossible in this scenario, many people were seen even without masks and if they were wearing masks, they didn’t wear it properly. The online users were very annoyed with such irresponsible behaviour of tourists and some of them even said that these people would bring the third wave of COVID-19 in the country.
Now some more photos are getting shared on social media and this time they are from Mussoorie, a hill station in the state of Uttarakhand, and the situation over there is also quite similar to that of Manali.
Here are some pics:

This behaviour is certainly not acceptable and people should always keep in mind that even though the number of COVID-19 positive cases is decreasing, the risk of getting infected is always there if the safety guidelines are not followed. In fact, new variants of the virus are also found which are even more dangerous so people need to be more careful and alert.

The Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli is currently in England and enjoying their break from cricket after losing the World Test Championship final to New Zealand. The players are not only enjoying the quality time but also sharing good moments with their fans and followers by posting photos and videos on their social media accounts.

Recently, the young Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur took to the photo-sharing site Instagram and posted a pic of himself dressed in a checked sweatshirt. The caption on the post read, “All about having a good time #london #england”.
The post was soon noticed by another Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja who made up mind to pull Shardul’s leg as this was not the first time that the latter posted a photo in the checked sweatshirt.

Earlier also Shardul posted a photo in the same sweatshirt so Ravindra Jadeja asked him whether he has only one sweatshirt.
Jadeja’s comment read, “Ek hi sweatshirt hai kya tere pass?”

Shardul Thakur soon responded by telling Jadeja that the photo was clicked on the same day. He also expressed his sense of happiness over Jadeja commenting on the post so he can also troll Jadeja from now on.
Shardul Thakur wrote, “Was clicked on the same day. Good, you commented I can start trolling you here on.”

Before the WTC final, many cricketing experts were of the opinion that Shardul Thakur would also be included in the squad as he would have been quite useful on the pitch which supports pacers. Moreover, he has also shown in the past that he has the ability to bat decently as well which makes him a fine all-rounder.
The Indian cricket team will be playing a 5-match test series against England and hopefully we will see Shardul Thakur playing some good cricket in the series.

The coronavirus pandemic affected the education system in a pretty big manner as the schools and colleges were closed in order to save students from the lethal virus. Well, the online classes were conducted in order to ensure that at least students completed their syllabus while sitting at home but the big problem for the schools was how to conduct examinations.
Representational Image
While for other classes, the education ministry gave the order to promote the students to the next class without exams but coming up with a solution for the 10th and 12th standards was not easy as in these classes, the students have to give board exams which are quite important in regard to the students’ future.
In order to ensure that no problem is faced in the future, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come up with a new policy for the future students. The student of academic session 2021-22 will be giving two board examinations, Term I and Term II. Both the exams will be of 90 minutes and the students will be tested on the basis of 50 percent of syllabus studied by them in the respective term and on the basis of the marks scored in both the terms, the overall marks of a student will be calculated.

As per a news portal, the examinations of Term I will take place in November-December while exams of the second term will take place in March-April. The CBSE will set question papers and will send them along with the marking scheme to the schools. The job of CBSE doesn’t end here as it will also appoint observers and external center superintendents for supervising the examinations.
This decision of CBSE has got mixed reactions as some are not happy with two board exams in one class as it will give them double stress while there are few who are happy with this new policy as they will need not to study the whole syllabus and focus only on the syllabus studied in the respective term.

The bench strength of the Indian cricket team was tested on the last Australian tour as many senior players got injured and the youngsters grabbed the opportunity with both hands and performed well when they were given the chance. T. Natarajan who is famous for his accurate Yorkers also went to Australia but as a net bowler; however because of injuries that took place in Indian camp, luckily he was able to make debut in all the formats in Australia.

The left-handed pacer also suffered a knee injury in Australia because of which he was able to play only 2 matches in the IPL 2021 for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad. However the IPL 2021 also got postponed midway as the country got hit by the second wave of COVID-19 in a pretty bad manner. T. Natarajan had undergone a surgery and presently he is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) undergoing rehabilitation.
T. Natarajan is now focusing on the IPL 2021 and wants to get fit to play in it as the remaining matches of the tournament will be played in September in UAE just before the T20 World Cup. Recently while talking to a leading daily, Natarajan talked about his fitness and recovery from injury.
T. Natarajan says that he is recovering well after the surgery and he has also started training slowly. He adds that he will start bowling in a full-fledged manner by the end of this month and wants to be completely fit by the time the IPL 2021 restarts. He further states that the IPL getting suspended has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him though there was nothing in his control.

T. Natarajan may be of a great help for team India in the T20 World Cup as he has the ability of bowling accurate Yorkers but the left-handed pacer is not thinking about the T20 World Cup as of now and is only concerned about his recovery. He adds that if he performs well in the IPL 2021, his chances of getting selected for the T20 World Cup will certainly increase but for that, he should be completely fit.
We wish T. Natarajan a speedy recovery and are looking forward to see him back on the field soon!

The government institutions and departments have recognized the importance of social media networks and they have also understood that having an online presence is absolutely necessary in the modern world. The police departments are also using social media in order to increase their reach among the public and share important things with them in a better manner. In fact, many police departments try to make their posts funny by means of various memes or famous scenes and characters of popular movies or web series so that people not only smile and laugh but also understand the information or message they want to convey in an easy and effective manner.

Online frauds or cyber frauds are taking place at a fast pace and many of them are happening through the online selling websites such as OLX, Quikr, etc. The fraudsters try to attract customers by making lucrative offers such as listing their scooty or bike for half price and many innocent people end up paying half amount in order to book the vehicle before anyone else books it but later on, they get to know that they have been cheated.
Pune Police made a post in an attempt to make people aware of the online frauds taking place by posting a meme of Sardar Khan, a character played by actor Manoj Bajpayee in Anurag Kashyap directed “Gangs of Wasseypur” which released in 2012.

Here is the post of Pune Police:
Sardar Khan is one of the most loved characters of Manoj Bajpayee; soon the actor also noticed the tweet and responded by writing, “Hahahaha this is quite amazing!!!”
Pune Police was also quick to react and they replied with, “@BajpayeeManoj You may be a ‘Family Man’ now but we still need to count on your ‘Sardar Khan’ days to drive our point home about Cyber Crime. #familyman #cybersecurity”
Manoj Bajpayee was recently seen in the second part of the web series The Family Man which was loved by audiences. In this series, Manoj plays the role of a secret intelligence agent and the character of his wife has been played by Priyamani.
Which character of Manoj Bajpayee do you like the most?

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the young Indian cricketer, is a pretty famous name in the Indian cricket world because of his superb performances in the domestic cricket as well as in the IPL and now he is all set to make his debut for the country in Sri Lanka where the Indian squad will be playing 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Ruturaj Gaikwad plays for MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings and recently he has shared his experience of playing under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and how his suggestions will be helpful to him in the Sri Lankan tour.

Ruturaj Gaikwad says that Mahi has always helped him and showed confidence in him despite the fact that he has not been able to score runs in the IPL 2021 in the beginning. Gaikwad had some poor outings in the beginning but instead of dropping him, Dhoni and the team management decided to stick with him. This increased the self-confidence of Gaikwad and he regained his lost touch. When the IPL 2021 was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Ruturaj Gaikwad had scored 196 runs with an average of 28.
While speaking in an interview, Ruturaj states that Dhoni always advised him not to play without knowing the name of the opponent as it is necessary to bat according to the quality of the delivery if the batsman wants to achieve success. Ruturaj Gaikwad also says that Dhoni has told him the opposition will try to make them lose their focus but they should not fall in their trap and this advice will certainly be of a great help for him in Sri Lanka.

Well, a number of players have expressed gratitude towards MS Dhoni for guiding and supporting them throughout their cricket career. In fact recently, KL Rahul has also stated that the name of Dhoni comes in his mind whenever anyone says ‘captain’ and he goes on to say that there are many including him who can take a bullet for Mahi without a second thought.
Let’s see whether Ruturaj Gaikwad will get the chance of making his debut for the country in this tour to Sri Lanka or not.

Arjuna Ranatunga, the former skipper of the Sri Lanka cricket team under whose leadership the Sri Lankans won the 1996 World Cup, has shown no hesitation in expressing his annoyance as he feels that India has sent the second string team to play limited overs cricket in Sri Lanka. Ranatunga has not only said that it is an insult to the Sri Lankan cricket but also slammed the Sri Lankan cricket board to let it happen just for the sake of earning broadcasting revenues. However, the Sri Lankan cricket board has also reacted quickly and made it clear that the team which has traveled to Sri Lanka is pretty well experienced and a strong one.

It all has happened because the senior Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli is in England where they will be playing 5-match test series against England starting August 4 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent a relatively young team led by Shikhar Dhawan to Sri Lanka for playing 3 ODIs and the same number of T20Is starting July 13.
The Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav who plays for Mumbai at the domestic level and Mumbai Indians in the IPL is also a part of this squad and now he has opened up on the second string comment made by the former Sri Lankan cricketer. On Tuesday in a virtual press conference, SKY has stated that the team is pretty focused and sweating it out hard in the regular practice sessions. He also tells that the team has played an intra-squad game previous day and is completely ready to face the challenges posed by the Sri Lankan side. As far as the comments made by Ranatunga are concerned, Suryakumar Yadav says that the players have paid no attention to it as they are in Sri Lanka to enjoy the series, have fun and take many positives from here.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team, the responsibility of the head coach has been bestowed on the former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid. SKY says that he is very excited in regard to Rahul Dravid being the coach of the team because a number of players have told him that he is a very calm and composed person when it comes to playing his role as a coach.
The former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has also responded on the comment made by Arjuna Ranatunga. He says that this squad has played 471 matches in total and it will be interesting to see how experience the Sri Lankan team is which will be playing against the Indian side.
