Virat Kohli has been leading team India in an emphatic manner in the recent times and fans are quite hopeful that India will win the first World Test Championship 2020-21 under his leadership. The final match of the WTC will be played between India and New Zealand at Southampton beginning from June 18 and team India will be leaving on June 2 for England where the Indian players and the crew members will be under 10-day isolation.
Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen of all times but it is also true that he is one of the best athletes of the present times and there is hardly any cricketer in the cricket world who can match his fitness levels. Other than work-out, diet also plays an important role in managing the fitness levels so fans of the Indian skipper are always eager to find out what their favourite cricketer consumes in his meals.
Recently when Virat Kohli conducted a Question and Answer session on his Instagram account, he was asked a question about his diet and in the reply, he revealed that his regular diet comprises of good amount of vegetables, quinoa, two cups of coffee, lots of spinach, eggs and dosas but all in limited quantity.
While some of his fans were planning to design their diet plan as per that of Kohli, there were few who were left a little confused after seeing eggs finding a place in Virat’s diet because as per them, Kohli has accepted that he is a vegan earlier in a live Instagram session with former England cricketer Kevin Pieterson.
This is how Twitter reacted after seeing eggs being a part of Virat Kohli’s diet:

Though Virat Kohli is not one of those celebs who really care about trolling but this time when he noticed that he was getting slammed for his diet, the RCB skipper decided to give it back to the trollers in his own style.
Virat Kohli tweeted, “I never claimed to be vegan. Always maintained I’m vegetarian. Take a deep breath and eat your Veggies (if you want)”.
The Indian team is presently serving their 14-day quarantine period in Mumbai and they are scheduled to play a 5-match test series against England after the WTC final.

The concern of the girl is pretty correct if the kids are getting a lot of homework and special attention should be paid to the children in these tough times as they are forced to live a life in which they can’t go out to play, can’t go to school, can’t meet their friends, etc. which is having a negative effect on their mental status.

Mohammad Shami is an integral part of the Indian cricket team and he is going to lead the Indian pace battery along with Jasprit Bumrah in the finals of the World Test Championship and then in the 5-match test series against England.
The final of the WTC will be played between India and New Zealand at Southampton beginning from June 18 and talking about this contest, Shami says that the Kiwis will be in a better position as they will be playing two test matches against England before the WTC final which will help them in understanding the conditions better.
However, Mohammad Shami feels that when two teams make themselves eligible for the finals, they reach there after proving their abilities and skills. He further adds that both the teams are top-class and they won’t give any chance to the opposition. According to Shami, no team will be having home advantage and it will be of a great importance to use the time and skills in a proper manner. Aside from this, he also hopes that the Indian playing XI will make less errors.
During an interaction with a news portal, Mohammad Shami says that when a player plays for the country, he tries to give his 100 percent as the country always comes first. He adds that the Indian cricket team has been playing as one unit over the years and hopefully they will be able to continue the winning streak.

India is currently dealing with the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic but the good thing is that the cases are decreasing and situation is improving day by day in majority of the states. Most probably from June 1, the process of unlocking will start in most of the states and life will slowly start going back to normal. The cricketing action also came to a halt as the IPL 2021 was postponed indefinitely after some players and staff members tested COVID-19 positive. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the remaining matches of the IPL 2021 will be played in UAE.
Michael Hussey, the batting coach of Chennai Super Kings, also tested COVID-19 positive but he is fine now and is in Australia. He has made a statement regarding the ICC T20 World Cup which is scheduled to be held in India in the month of October this year.
The former Aussie cricketer says that in his opinion, it would be difficult to organize the T20 World Cup in India as it won’t be safe due to COVID-19. He compares it with the IPL and states that there are eight teams in the tournament but in the World Cup, there may be more teams and they will be playing at more number of venues in various cities which will certainly increase the risk.
This statement didn’t go well with the Indian cricket lovers and former Indian cricketers including Sunil Gavaskar. Little Master went hard on Michael Hussey as he said that nobody had any problem when the Indian cricket team went on the Australian tour for playing three ODIs, the same number of T20Is and four test matches despite the fact that the COVID-19 cases were on a rise in Australia at that time.
Gavaskar also said that at that time, there was no one who said that the Indian tour should be cancelled and the Aussies should reciprocate with the same sympathetic consideration as there are still four months in the T20 World Cup and many people are getting vaccinated plus the government has been very active in controlling the spread of the virus.
What do you think of the statement made by Michael Hussey and Sunil Gavaskar’s reply to him?
