“They Are 17-18 On Paper But Real Age Is 27-28,” Mohammad Asif Says About Present Pak Bowlers

The New Zealand cricket team has taken an invincible lead in the two match test series against Pakistan by winning the first test by 101 runs and the Pakistani cricketers have also been praised for playing good cricket despite losing the match.

However, now a former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif has made a controversial statement as per which the current Pakistani bowlers are much older than the age given in the records. The former Pak pacer has said this while speaking to the Pakistani wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal on his Akmal’s YouTube channel after he was asked as to why the present team of Pakistan is not able to take 20 wickets and win the test matches like the teams of earlier generation used to do.

As per Asif, it has been 5-6 years that a pacer has taken 10 wickets in a test match. He added that the bowlers of his generation used to drool over the pitches as there are in New Zealand and there was no question of leaving the ball as a fast bowler. Mohammad Asif claimed that he himself never gave up the ball until he took a five wicket haul.

Talking about the Pakistani bowlers of today, Asif says that these kids have no knowledge, they are not able to keep batsman on the front foot, stop the singles and can’t even bowl on wickets. He further adds that when these bowlers try to bowl on wickets, the ball goes towards the leg-side because they have no control. He goes on to say that on the papers, their age may have been written as 17-18 years but in reality, they are not less than 27-28 years of age. He further says that they are not able to bend their bodies, they can’t bowl 20-25 overs because they don’t have the flexibility which is needed for bowling long spells and they are not even able to stay on the field after bowling 5-6 over spell.

It would be interesting to see how the current cricketers or the Pakistani board would react on this statement given by Mohammad Asif.

Sunil Gavaskar Talks About Controversial Walkout Incident In 1981 & Reveals What Made Him Angry

The use of technology has made umpiring a little easy for the on-field umpires as they have the liberty of checking with the off-field umpire who can give his opinion after watching the replays from different angles on television. However, it was not the case earlier as the decision of the on-field umpires used to be the final decision and unsurprisingly, they used to take some wrong decisions as well.

Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian cricketer, recalled an incident after which a huge uproar was caused because of him after he was given out in a wrong manner. This incident is best known as the walkout incident and it took place during the India-Australia series 1981 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Sunil Gavaskar was the skipper of the Indian team at that time and during one of the test, on one delivery bowled by Dennis Lillee which was an in-cutter, umpire Rex Whitehead gave Sunil Gavaskar lbw out after the ball touched his pad. However, Little Master showed his disagreement in a strong manner as he felt that the ball first touched his bat before touching the pad. In a show of dissent, Sunil Gavaskar kept standing on the pitch for a long time and as he was going back to the pavilion, his anger increased manifold when he heard one Australian player saying, “get lost”.

Sunil Gavaskar went to his batting partner Chetan Chauhan and told him to walk back with him. Chetan got confused but obeyed his skipper and started walking back with Sunil. The matter got resolved only after the team manager Shahid Durrani and assistant manager Bapu Nadkarni met both the players on the boundary rope and convinced Gavaskar to let Chetan Chauhan return to the field.

During the interview, Sunil Gavaskar said that he was quite upset with the lbw decision but walk-off happened only after the comment was made by the Australian player. According to him, he told the umpires that he got an inside edge which was seen clearly by the forward short leg fielder because of which he didn’t even move while others were appealing. He also recalled that Dennis Lillee was trying to tell him where the ball hit him but he told the Australian bowler that he hit the ball with bat.

Taking this into consideration, it can be said that players of the present times are pretty lucky as they have the option of the off-field umpire as well which minimizes the chances of errors.

Rohit, Pant, Saini & Gill In Trouble After Indian Fan Spots Them, Pays Their Bill & Tweets About It

There is no doubt that cricket is equivalent to religion for Indians and many fans are so crazy that they can do anything for their favourite cricketers.

Recently, an Indian fan who went to a restaurant in Melbourne with his wife spotted Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Saini also over there and as a lovely gesture towards the Indian cricketers, the fan paid their bill which was AUD 118.69 (INR 6683).

The name of this fan is Navaldeep Singh and he shared the incident in a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site Twitter. In his first tweet, he posted a video in which all the four cricketers can be seen.

Navaldeep was not quite hungry but still he ordered some food so that he could sit over there and see the Indian cricketers.

He also shared the photo of the bill of the players which he paid while the cricketers were not aware about it.

When the players got to know that their bill had been paid by Navaldeep, Rohit Sharma requested him to take money as this didn’t look good. Rishabh Pant hugged Navaldeep and also said that if he did not take money, they would not allow to get them clicked with him. However, Navaldeep refused to take money and all the cricketers got their photos clicked with him and his wife.

In fact, Rishabh Pant who is known for his wittiness thanked Navaldeep’s wife for the lunch before leaving.

This certainly made the day for Navaldeep Singh but there was news that the Board of Control for Cricket In India had started an investigation in the matter of possible breach of bio-bubble by the cricketers after they met a fan. It is being said that BCCI is reviewing the video and other evidences and it seems that these cricketers will have to get tested for COVID-19 before entering the bio-bubble again.

Navaldeep also issued a clarification in which he stated that he wrote Pant hugged him in excitement but in reality, Pant never hugged him, adding that social distancing was maintained and the Indian cricketers broke no protocol. Here is what Navaldeep wrote, “Clarification – Pant never hugged me it was all said in excitement we maintained social distance all thru:) Apologies for miscommunication @BCCI  @CricketAus @dailytelegraph”

The Indian team will be flying soon for Sydney where they will be playing the third test match against Australia starting Jan 7, 2021.

Suresh Raina Breaks His Silence On Pulling Out Of IPL 2020, “Why Would There Be Any Regret?”

The IPL 2020 was certainly the worst season for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings as they were even at the bottom of the points tally for some time, leave aside getting into play-offs. Mahi also faced a lot of criticism, not just for his dismal performance with bat but for his poor captaincy and wrong decisions as well.

One of the reasons of CSK’s poor performance was the absence of their star cricketer Suresh Raina who pulled out of the IPL 2020. Raina is associated with CSK since the inaugural edition of the IPL which took place in 2008 and he has also been the leading run scorer for the team. The other cricketers were not able to fill the gap which was created in the middle order because of Suresh Raina’s absence and it affected CSK’s batting in a severe manner.

Recently while talking to a leading daily, Suresh Raina has talked about his decision of pulling out from the IPL 2020 and stated that he has no regrets about it. He in fact asks as to why he should have regret for pulling out of the tournament as his family needed him at that time. According to him, he wanted to spend time with his kids and a horrific incident took place with his relatives in Punjab as well.

Suresh Raina’s 58-yr uncle and his cousin lost their lives due to the robbery that took place in their house in Pathankot. Raina’s aunt and another cousin also got injured severely and the cricketer even requested the Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to take an action and make sure that the culprits get punished.

He says that his wife also needed him in the times of COVID-19 and he has been playing for 20 years so he knows that he will be able to do it again but when your family needs you, you have to be there with them. As per him, he felt that it was the right thing to do at that time.

However, the owner of CSK, N Srinivasan has been pretty upset with Suresh Raina pulling out and has expressed his annoyance quite clearly when he states that he doesn’t force anyone to anything but sometimes success gets into the head. He calls cricketers as prime donnas and says that CSK is like a big family and senior players have learnt how to co-exist.

Suresh Raina has played 193 matches till now and has scored 5368 runs which include 38 fifties and one century. For two years when CSK was suspended in 2016 and 2017, Suresh Raina played for Gujarat Lions.

Apart from Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh of CSK also pulled out of the IPL 2020 and this again weakened the bowling attack of the team. Will these two be a part of CSK ever again? What do you think?

Married Man Built Tunnel To Lover’s House To Meet Her Secretly, Got Caught By Woman’s Husband

Love is undoubtedly one of the beautiful emotions that a person can experience but it also has its limitations. There is nothing wrong in two persons falling in love with each other but it is certainly not acceptable if these two are married to different persons.

Representational Image

However, a married man in Mexico crossed all the limits for a woman whom he loved but got caught by the woman’s husband. As both of them were married it was difficult for them to meet in public places so the man made an underground tunnel from his house to the house of his lover.

As per the reports, Alberto who is a construction worker by profession is in love with a woman Pamela who is married to a man named Jorge. They carried on their affair for quite some time but one day Jorge returned home early and got suspicious of someone else’s presence. He first looked under the bed but didn’t find anything or anyone; then he saw Alberto behind the sofa but the latter got disappeared. Jorge saw that there was a big hole behind the sofa which led him to the tunnel.

Jorge ran down the tunnel and reached Alberto’s house. Alberto requested him not to tell his wife about his affair but Jorge revealed it to her because of which they had a fistfight that got stopped only after police arrived.

What is your take on this whole matter?

Ben Stokes Seems Unhappy For Inclusion In ICC Test Team Of The Decade, ICC Responds

Ben Stokes, the English cricketer, has been performing considerably well for his team and his performance has led to his inclusion in the ICC Test team of the decade and ICC ODI team of the decade. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the only cricketer who has secured a place in all the three teams of the decade.

The caps were also awarded to the players who secured their berth in these teams and Ben Stokes also got both the caps. Just like the other players, he also posted his photos sporting those caps on his social media accounts. While Ben Stokes was fine with the cap of ICC ODI team of the decade, he was not happy with the cap of ICC Test team of the decade as it gave him the feel of baggy green.

Baggy green caps are worn by the Australian cricketers and the rivalry between England and Australia is known to everyone. Ben Stokes trolled ICC as he captioned his post with, “Very proud of both these caps, one of them just doesn’t seem right, it’s a bit BAGGY and GREEN 😉 thanks @icc”

The International Cricket Council also responded to Ben Stokes and replied with, “Sorry @BenStokes38!” with a laughing emoji.

Though no one has spoken against the inclusion of Ben Stokes in both the teams, many former cricketers have questioned the selection of players in these teams, especially the former Pakistani cricketers as no Pakistani cricketer has been included in any team despite the fact that players like Babar Azam and Younis Khan have been performing quite well for their team.

Here is what the emotional post written by Sonu Sood read,

“A visual that I dreamt of all my life. Today a road in my home town Moga has been named after my mom: “Prof.Saroj Sood Road”. The same road by which she traveled all her life. From home to college and then back home. This will always be the most important chapter of my life. I am sure my mom and Dad must be smiling somewhere from the heavens. I wish they were around to see this. I thank Mr.Harjot Kamal, Mr.Sandeep Hans and Mrs.Anita Darshi mam for making this possible. Now I can proudly say my most favourite place in the world is “Prof.Saroj Sood Road. My Road to Success”.

Check out the post:

Recently Sonu Sood launched a book “I Am No Messiah” in which he talked about the experiences that he had while he was making efforts for sending the migrant workers home during the coronavirus pandemic. During an interview that he gave earlier, he talked about missing his mother while writing the book because it was she who told him to write down experiences that he feel are special because sometimes you forget them but if you have written them down, you can always relive those moments by reading those pages.

Sonu Sood has been lauded a lot for helping the migrant workers and needy people during the COVID-19 pandemic and recently, a Twitter user shared information of people making a temple of Sonu Sood in a village of Andhra Pradesh.

Some time back, Sonu also revealed that his image has changed to such an extent that he is getting offers for the roles of hero. He called it the new innings and also told about the incident in which the megastar Chiranjeevi refused to hit him in a movie because he was afraid that he will be cursed by people for hitting Sonu Sood.

That’s certainly a very big and emotional moment of Sonu’s life and his parents must be smiling from heaven seeing it all!!!
