The Pakistani cricket team managed to draw the 3-match T20I series by 1-1 after defeating England in the final T20I match which was played at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Greater Manchester, England. Batting first, the visitors put up a huge total of 190/4 on the scoreboard with the help of some brilliant innings of Mohammad Hafeez (86 not out) and Haider Ali (54). The hosts tried their level best to chase the target of 191 but fell short by 5 runs and the England team was able to score only 185 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Moeen Ali was the top scorer for England as he scored 61 runs for which he played 33 deliveries. Mohammed Hafeez not only won the Man of the Match award but he also emerged as the Man of the Series.
However, this match will also be remembered for one more incident which happened outside the stadium as spectators are not allowed inside the stadium. There was a Pakistani fan who was playing dhol outside the stadium but what made him stand apart was that he looked very similar to the professional footballer Lionel Messi. The doppelganger was wearing Pakistan’s jersey and playing dhol in a very energetic manner.

The coronavirus pandemic affected our lives in a pretty adverse manner but kids were very happy as schools were shut down during the lockdown. However, the schools came up with the idea of online classes so that studies of students don’t get affected. Nevertheless, there is no information regarding from when the schools will reopen and it seems as if the government is in no hurry either to reopen the schools. In fact, the majority of the parents also don’t appear to be in the mood to send their kids to the schools until the vaccine for COVID-19 comes into the market.
There was a lot of debate and discussion on the topic of conducting Joint Entrance Examination-Main and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [Undergraduate] (JEE & NEET) exams. The Supreme Court rejects the petitions requesting the postponement of exams and a number of people are not happy with this decision. Numerous states were not supporting the central government in the matter of carrying out these exams but after the Supreme Court’s judgment, they are left with not many options.
Recently, the JEE examination which has to be cleared by the students for getting admission in engineering colleges of the country was conducted. Though the students and their parents were worried about safety, the National Testing Agency issued guidelines which should be followed in order to keep everyone safe. As per the reports, more than 8.50 lakh students were registered for the JEE exams. While the authorities ensured that social distancing is maintained, the students were asked to wear mask all the time and they were also asked to bring their own sanitizer and water bottles.

We all got locked inside our houses for almost four months due to the coronavirus pandemic and it won’t be wrong to say that our lives came to a standstill in a way. However, it also gave us a chance to take a break from our hectic routine and do things which we usually would not have done. Few of us took to painting, writing, poetry, etc. but majority of people tried to bring out the cook who was hiding inside them. It was also good in a sense that the women of the house got some rest as the other members took the responsibility of kitchen on their shoulders. However, things were not so good in each household; while few of us came to know that we can cook pretty good dishes, some of us came up with really weird dishes such as palak paneer idli, red sauce pasta dosa with lots of cheese, etc.
