Anand Mahindra Praised An Innovative Driver For His Unique Hand-Washing Unit Inside Auto-Rickshaw

We all were well aware of the importance of cleanliness and maintaining hygiene but there is no denying the fact that after the coronavirus pandemic, people have become very cautious about it. The COVID-19 outbreak has thrown the world into the state of sorrow and despair as more than 560K people have lost their lives to this disease and over 12.5 million have been registered as COVID-19 patients. If we talk about India, the number of positive cases is around 8.5 lakhs while the count of lives lost is more than 22K.

It has become quite clear to everyone that if we want to save ourselves from this virus, we should maintain personal hygiene, wear masks and follow social distancing whenever we are out of the house. Some individuals have taken several great initiatives in this regard and one of them is an auto-rickshaw driver from Mumbai. This auto-rickshaw driver’s attempt to stop coronavirus from spreading has also been noticed by the two Indian businessmen – Anand Mahindra and Harsh Mariwala.

The auto-rickshaw driver is quite inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign) and he has designed his auto in such a way that it not only takes care of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitization but also of environment. He has named his vehicle as ‘Mumbai’s First Home System Auto-Rickshaw’ and it has a wash basin for washing hands, two bins – one for dry waste and other for wet waste. The commuter can also get drinking water in the auto along with the facility of Wi-Fi, cooler/fan, TV with mobile connectivity, playing music with Bluetooth and the cellphone charging point.

The auto-rickshaw also has few plants and they get watered whenever someone washes hand in the wash basin. The driver gives free-rides to the newlyweds and one kilometer free ride to the senior citizens. That’s not all, he will also give tips on fitness if his customer wants.

Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group, praised the auto-rickshaw driver and talked about the positive thing that happened because of COVID-19. He shared the video of the auto on the micro-blogging site Twitter with caption, “One silver lining of COVID-19 is that it’s dramatically accelerating the creation of a Swachh Bharat…!!”

Harsh Mariwala, the chairman of Marico group, also appreciated the efforts of the driver for putting his heart in what he does as he tweeted, “Whatever you do, make sure you do it with all your heart. Look how this man has installed a basin to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. The wastewater even goes into some plants he’s growing!”

On the back-side of the auto-rickshaw, he has pasted a poster in which he has thanked the doctors, policemen and all the frontline corona warriors. On both the sides, he has written details about Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) COVID-19 Helpline, on one side in English and on the other in Marathi.

“Dhoni Has Been A Very Lucky Captain,” Gautam Gambhir Credits Zaheer Khan For Dhoni’s Success

The former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has always been a part of discussions despite the fact that he is not at all socially active and hasn’t played any cricket match for a long time now. He has been one of the most successful skippers of the Indian cricket team and under his leadership, India has achieved success in all the formats. MSD is the only captain who has won all the ICC trophies and how can we not mention the fact that he was the one who led the 2007 T20 ICC World Cup winning team as well as the 2011 ODI ICC World Cup winning team.

Dhoni has been successful in not only shorter formats but longer format as well. He guided the Indian squad in winning 27 test matches out of 60 matches played under his captaincy and India was at the number 1 spot in the ICC rankings for 18 months when Mahi was the skipper.

Recently, the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir who has now turned into politician talked about Dhoni’s captaincy in test cricket in a TV show and he feels that Zaheer Khan, the former Indian pacer is responsible for Dhoni’s success.

Gambhir called Zaheer a world-class bowler and said that he was a blessing for Dhoni which he got because of Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian skipper and the current President of BCCI.

Zaheer Khan took 123 wickets in the 33 test matches that he played under Dhoni’s captaincy and Zaheer’s stint was instrumental in making India reach the top spot for the first time in 2009. While drawing comparison between Dhoni’s and Ganguly’s captaincy, Gautam Gambhir said that Dhoni was quite lucky as he got a star-studded squad which included Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Gambhir himself and others, so it was easy for Dhoni to win trophies including the 2011 World Cup but it was not the case with Ganguly and he had to work hard.

Delhi People Are Sharing Pics Of Monitor Lizard Spotted At Their Homes & Twitter Goes Crazy

The increasing pollution and development has made an adverse impact on the natural surroundings of the planet Earth and humans have also been experiencing the effects of ecological imbalance in the form of global warming. However, the last three months were pretty good for the Mother Nature as all the commercial and economic activities got stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic. There was no pollution as very few vehicles were on the road, all the industries were closed and people were forced to stay inside their houses.

Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, some wild animals were seen in the cities roaming in a relaxed mood and such sightings made people very happy as well as amazed. However, a tweet was made by IPS officer HGS Dhaliwal in which he posted a photo which made some people scared. The photo featured a monitor lizard roaming in someone’s house.

Monitor lizards have been registered as a protected species under the Wildlife Protection Act (1972). It is being said that this huge lizard is a little shy and likes to remain far from humans. Though it is not heavily poisonous, it does fight back if it senses risk to its own life.

Then a Twitter user revealed that it is a common sight in the Chattarpur area which is near the Aravallis and he also talked about the probability of the photo being clicked from a house from that region only. The IPS officer confirmed that the house is in Chattarpur area.

Twitter got quite excited seeing such a giant lizard and while some people talked about spotting it at some point in their lives, many others expressed their fear while several netizens guided others that it’s not harmful if a person doesn’t attack it.

The coronavirus pandemic has shattered the world as more than 12.5 million people have been registered as COVID-19 positive and over 560K people have lost their lives to this disease worldwide. Recently, his childhood friend and manager Mihir Diwakar has stated that Dhoni has refused to engage in any brand endorsements until situation becomes normal as he wants to show support to those who have been severely affected because of COVID-19. The right-handed batsmen played last for the Indian team in the semi-finals of the 2019 ICC World Cup in which New Zealand defeated India. Since then, he has made himself unavailable for the selection.

Dhoni was supposed to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020 but the tournament got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. But there are reports as per which BCCI is planning to organize the tournament later this year in the month of September-October and it won’t mind organizing it in any other country if the situation of COVID-19 doesn’t get improved in India.

Dhoni’s retirement is one of the most talked about topics in the present times but his fans want him to get a proper farewell as he has made immense contribution to the Indian cricket. While he is the second most successful skipper in the IPL with three title wins, the Indian squad has managed to win both the World Cups – 2007 T20 & 2011 ODI under his leadership and he is the only skipper in the history of cricket who has won all the ICC trophies.

Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team skipper, is one of the finest players of the cricket world and he is admired by not only his fans but his counterparts as well.
