Harbhajan Singh Took A Jibe At Greg Chappell For His Statement Regarding MS Dhoni

Being the coach of the Indian cricket team is one of the most difficult jobs of the world because most of the Indian cricketers are stars and heroes of the Indian public and handling them can be quite tough. Mostly, the Indian squad had Indian coaches but there have been few foreign coaches as well.

There is no denying the fact that the most controversial coach of team India is former Australian cricketer Greg Chappell who coached the team from 2005 till 2007. The biggest controversy with which Greg Chappell has been associated is the sacking of former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly.

Recently while chatting with the Playwrite Foundation on social networking site Facebook, Greg Chappell talked about the incident when he asked Indian cricketer MS Dhoni to play more shots along the ground.

Greg Chappell said that Dhoni tore apart Sri Lanka in the match as he scored 183 runs in just 145 balls and it was the best example of power-hitting. He further said that the next match was in Pune and before that match, he asked Dhoni to play along the ground instead of trying to hit every delivery for a boundary.

Chappell further added that the Indian team was in good position in the match as Dhoni was playing a good innings and when 20 runs were remaining for chase, Mahi asked for his permission through RP Singh (12th man) for hitting a six. Chappell said that he denied the permission and asked him not to hit a six until the runs needed to chase reduce to single digit; when six runs were needed, Dhoni went for a six.

Now the Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has reacted to this statement made by Chappell by taking a dig at the former Indian coach.

Bhajji took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “He asked Dhoni to play along the ground coz coach was hitting everyone out the park.. He was playing different games 😜#worstdaysofindiancricketundergreg 😡😡😡”

It’s an open secret that most of the players were not happy with Greg Chappell and many Indian fans feel that it was the worst phase of the Indian cricket when Greg Chappell was the coach of the Indian squad. What is your take in this regard? Do you also think so?

Dhawan Reacts To Hitman & Warner’s Complaints Of Facing First Ball & Taking Single On Last Ball

Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian cricketer, has been spending some quality time with his family in the lockdown period and some time ago, he also shared a video in which his whole family was seen working out to remain fit.

The opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma is being touted as one of the best opening pairs of the world in the present times as both of them have played some memorable innings together. Few days ago, Rohit Sharma conducted an Instagram live chat with Australian cricketer David Warner and they both talked a lot about Shikhar Dhawan among other topics as he has opened the innings with both of them – for India with Rohit Sharma and for the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with David Warner.

While Rohit and Shikhar have a great bonding and they understand each other a lot, there is one thing of Gabbar that Rohit complained about. Rohit said that Shikhar never faces the first ball of the innings and on the other hand, David Warner also pointed out that when he used to bat with Shikhar for SRH in the IPL, the Indian left-hander used to take a single run on the last ball of the over.

Shikhar also came to know about the things that were said in relation to him by Rohit Sharma and David Warner and he chose to clarify them during a live chat session with former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.


As per Shikhar, he doesn’t like to play the first ball and if his partner is a young cricketer, he will like to talk to him and if even then he is not comfortable in playing the first ball, he will take the strike. Talking about Rohit, Shikhar said that in 2013, he made a comeback and Rohit had started playing as an opener. As it was his comeback, Rohit played the first ball and since then, they have batted in this manner.

Regarding what David Warner said about Shikhar that he takes a single at the last ball of the over, the Indian opener completely denied it.

AB De Villiers Responds To The Fan Who Asks Him About Representing Dhoni’s CSK

The IPL 2020 may have been postponed indefinitely but the cricketers have found out a new way of spending time and that is Instagram live chat sessions. Recently, the former South African cricketer AB de Villiers chatted live with former Zimbabwe cricketer-turned-commentator Pommie Mbangwa.

They both talked about many things including AB’s long stint in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and whether he would like to play for MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

RCB bought AB de Villiers in 2011 after he was released by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for which he played for 3 years. At that time, Daniel Vettori was the skipper of RCB and now the IPL team is being led by Virat Kohli who is also the skipper of the Indian cricket team. The South African batsman is the second highest scorer after his skipper as he has scored 4395 runs (average 39.95) which include 2 centuries and 30 fifties.

Talking about playing for RCB, AB says that during the fifth year, he felt that he would like to play for RCB for the rest of his playing career. As per him, he really enjoys playing for RCB, he loves the people over here and the vibes as well. AB further says that he has created some friendships that he will never want to leave.

One fan asked AB de Villiers whether he would like to be a part of CSK. To this, he said that he never had the option of choosing his franchise in the IPL as first he was bought by DD and later on he played for RCB. As far as playing for CSK is concerned, the South African cricketer feels that it is not going to happen although he says that he likes to play against them as it is tough competition.

Despite the fact that RCB always had some of the best players of the world, they have never won the IPL trophy and it has always made their fans upset.

Virat Kohli Trolls Chahal For Runs Scored By Him, Chahal Has A Hilarious Response

The Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most popular players of the present times and he is not only known for his bowling but also for his wittiness and sense of humour. Chahal has been pretty active on the social media networks and he is also regularly uploading TikTok videos which are further increasing his popularity.

Yuzi may have become an integral part of the Indian team, especially in the shorter format due to his wicket-taking ability but it is a known fact that he is not very handy with the bat. The total runs scored by Yuzi in the tournament were 281 and the handle also asked Yuzi whether he plans to bat up in the order.

“Skip Intro” Trends After PM Modi Addressed India In A Very Long Speech In Shuddh Hindi

The Indian government decided to impose lockdown of 21 days starting March 25 as the number of coronavirus patients started increasing in the country. The lockdown has been extended two times and presently India is under lockdown till May 17. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been appearing on the national television in order to let the Indian citizens know about the important information, updates and the steps that the government is taking to combat the lethal coronavirus pandemic.

Yesterday, PM Modi again addressed the Indian citizens and he emphasized on the need of being vocal about the local as they helped us in the time of crisis. PM Modi’s intention is to develop local brands and make them so strong that they can compete at the international level also. He also stressed on the need of becoming self-reliant so that we can become strong enough to face any crisis in the future as well.

PM Modi also announced that an economic package of Rs. 20 lakh crore will be released in order to help in lifting the economy which has been adversely affected due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, PM Modi didn’t give any details of the economic package as it would be divulged by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The Indian cricketers are spending a lot of quarantine time on the social media platforms as they are conducting Instagram live sessions with other cricketers or IPL franchises, interacting with fans, recalling old incidents, sharing what they have been up to during lockdown, etc.

Recently, Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina had a live Instagram session and in the meantime, Yuzvendra Chahal crashed into their chat with a funny comment. Rohit Sharma is the skipper of IPL team Mumbai Indians (MI), Suresh Raina is a part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Yuzvendra Chahal would have represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League 2020 which was supposed to start from March 29 but has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Presently, India is under the third phase of lockdown which will get over on May 17 but there are pretty good chances that the lockdown will get extended further. In the current scenario, the number of COVID-19 positive patients in India is more than 74K while more than 2400 people have lost their lives to this disease.

If we talk about the whole world, the number of lives lost on account of coronavirus is more than 2.90 lakh while the count of infected patients is around 42 lakh. In such circumstances, chances of the IPL 2020 taking place this year is pretty low as the first priority of everyone is saving human lives rather than organising sporting events.
