Tim Paine Speaks Highly Of Virat Kohli, Calls Him The World’s Best Player

Virat Kohli, the skipper of the Indian cricket team, is admired by many and the Australian skipper Tim Paine is also one of them. India under the leadership of Virat Kohli visited Australia in 2018-19 and played a test match series under the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2018-19. It was a historic series and India clinched it by 2-1.

Tim talked about the series and the Indian skipper in a documentary series, “The Test – A New Era For Australia’s Team” which is being aired on the Amazon Prime Video. The aim of this documentary is to show the world how Australian cricket cope up with the 2018 ball tampering scandal that took place in Cape Town, South Africa, and what changes came in their system and the manner in which they play the game.

While talking about the series in the third episode, Tim Paine also talked about Kohli and said that Virat is so much famous in India which is a pretty big nation that he is a sort of an international superstar. Tim also said that Kohli is certainly the best cricketer of the world in the present times and he watched him in a clip before the series in which he was playing in a hard-hitting manner.

The Australian skipper also remembered that when he told his mother about Virat as he was worried how they would get him out, his mother made it pretty simple for him by saying that he is just another person. Tim thanked him mom for the million dollar advice as he was sure that it would help him and his team in getting Virat out.

Moreover, Tim Paine opened about the time when both the skippers had a heated argument and even the umpires had to intervene to stop them. He said that it was decided that no one would talk to Virat when he was batting and when Australians were batting, it was up to the individual whether they wanted to sledge or not. Tim further said that he lost his cool when he saw Virat giving few of his guys send-off and it was the time that when he decided that he has to stand up for his teammates and for himself as he is the skipper of the team.

They both didn’t get involved in banter in the Adelaide test but it all started after India’s first innings in Perth and the umpires had to remind them that they should behave responsibly as they are the captains.

Recently, the Indian team returned from New Zealand where the Indian skipper had a tough time with bat and he was also criticised for his aggressive attitude.

The biggest question as of now for Indian cricket fans is whether IPL 2020 will take place or not as the number of corona virus patients is increasing every day in India.

Cricket is not just a sport in the sub-continent but a religion which connects huge number of people with each other and using this sport as a social cause is definitely a great idea. A T20 cricket tournament has been organised by the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra and it has been titled as Road Safety World Series.

In this tournament, many former cricketers of different countries – India, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka and South Africa are taking part. The decision of participation was left on the players but some Sri Lankan fans are not happy with former Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene not taking part in the series. Presently, the former Sri Lankan cricketers Chaminda Vaas, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tilakaratne Dilshan and Marvan Atapattu along with others are playing for Sri Lanka Legends but fans were so unhappy with Mahela that they even questioned his patriotism.

This is not the first time that Mahela Jayawardene’s integrity has been doubted and this time also, the former skipper who was known as a very cool and calm person didn’t lose his temper. He did give a befitting reply to all the critics, ensuring that everyone should know the real reason behind his absence from the tournament.

Mahela Jayawardene took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted his reply as per which he had some personal commitments to his family because of which he is not able to play in this exhibition tournament where players are getting paid to participate. He also cleared that it is not an international tournament.

Here is what he tweeted, “This is an exhibition tournament to promote road safety in India.. not an international tournament and people are getting paid to play in this.. I personally had other commitments to my family during this period. I hope this will clear what ever misguided information being posted”.

With this tweet, Mahela Jayawardene responded to all the baseless allegations that were levied against him and after this, fans too thanked the former cricketer for clearing all the doubts. Fan Asks BCCI To Call Back Irfan Pathan, Gets A Reply From The Cricketer

Irfan Pathan, the former Indian cricketer, took a very tough decision of his retirement few months ago, however each of his fans believed that a lot of cricket is remaining in him and they wanted to see him playing more. The left-handed pacer was an important part of the Indian pace battery for quite some years after he made his debut in 2003-04 during the Australian tour. What made him special was that he worked on his batting as well, became a good all-rounder and was touted as the next Kapil Dev.

However, things didn’t happen as planned and some injuries along with bad form resulted in his ouster from the team after which he was not able to make a comeback. Irfan Pathan last played for the country in the year 2012 in a T20 match against the Proteas. He has been out from the IPL as well and he played last for Rising Pune Supergiant while his last first class match was played in Feb 2019 for Jammu & Kashmir.

Recently, the former cricketer was seen back on the cricket ground when he played for Sachin Tendulkar led Indian Legends in the ongoing Road Safety World Series 2020. On March 10, Indian Legends played against Sri Lanka Legends and Irfan played an important role in the victory of his team. He not only took a wicket but also scored unbeaten 57 runs (3 sixes, 6 fours) for which he played only 39 balls and helped his team in achieving the target of 139 runs with eight balls remaining.

A fan of Irfan Pathan asked BCCI whether the former cricketer can be asked to return just like the South African player AB de Villiers.

The tweet read, “Dear @BCCI can’t we ask @IrfanPathan to return back like @ABdeVilliers17??”

Irfan responded with a tweet which read, “Haha too late I guess”.

A number of other fans also expressed desire to see the legendary player back on the field. Here are some of the selected tweets:

Rajkummar’s Ladylove Patralekhaa Has The Coolest Reply For Trollers Who Called Her Cheap & Wannabe

The Bollywood actresses getting trolled or slammed for their fashion and dressing sense is not new but not every actress replies. Most of the actresses don’t even look at the comments section or even if they do, they reply to the nice ones and ignore the cheap ones as they don’t want to bring negativity in their lives.

However, the Bollywood actress Patralekhaa was not in the mood to remain silent when she was trolled for the outfit that she wore at the screening of Kiara Advani starrer “Guilty”, a Netflix film. Patralekhaa attended the event wearing a black crop top, blue jeans and an oversized jacket which exposed her mid-riff. While there were many who loved Patralekhaa’s stylish dress, some people made cheesy comments which aggravated the “Citylight” actress.

Patralekhaa took to her Instagram account and gave haters a perfect reply. She slammed the trollers for the negativity and made it clear that she will wear whatever she likes as her body is her armour and what she wears is nobody’s business. In the end, she also wished Happy Women’s Day which she seems to celebrate every day, adding that she is a strong woman who will become stronger with every passing day.

Here is what Patralekhaa’s Instagram post read,

“I wore this outfit to a screening and got papped! A few fashion bloggers picked it up (thank you for that) but I happened to read the comments section below and they were filled with negativity. I was a bit shocked about people spewing so much negativity and personal attack in their comments. WHY? It’s my body I will wear what I like and what I want. If I look cheap, wannabe, this shape, that size etc, it’s really none of anyone’s business. My body my armour! I will wear what I want to wear. #HappyWomens’day2020. Celebrating today and every day. Strong today, Stronger tomorrow.”

Smriti Mandhana Disclosed Her Reaction When Her Followers Increased To 3 Lakh From 200 In 5 Days

Smriti Mandhana, the Indian cricketer, may have been going through a tough phase presently as far as her form is concerned but she is an integral part of the Indian women’s team. She came into limelight in the ICC World Cup 2017 when she smashed 90 runs against England and then she went on to score a century against the West Indian team.

Her superb batting performances helped her team in reaching the finals of ICC World Cup 2017; however in the finals, the Women in Blue got defeated by the England team. The next year in 2018, she was awarded with the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the best female cricketer of the year and was also adjudged as the ODI player of the year by the International Cricket Council as she was the highest scorer with 669 runs (66.9 avg).

Recently, Smriti gave an interview in which she opened up about many things including how her life changed after the ICC World Cup 2017. What was surprising to know was that Board had no expectations from the Women in Blue of surpassing the group stage so their tickets were already booked in advance. The cricketer also told about the huge reception that the team got when they returned from England.

In addition, Smriti talked about her social media accounts and how the number of followers increased after her batting performance in England. She said that her Twitter account was deleted and she was not even aware of Instagram. As per her, she only knew that she had 200 followers and within the span of 5 days, the number of followers increased to 299K. She felt as if people had gone crazy after seeing a surge in the number of followers.

Within the span of 3 years, the Indian women’s team has lost 2 ICC World Cup finals but these losses will certainly transform them into a more solid team.

“Corona Bhaag Ja,” Women Singing & Telling Corona To Run Away From India Is Breaking The Internet

There is no denying the fact that corona virus has left everyone scared and in a worried state as more than 1,10,000 people have been infected with it and above 4,000 have lost their lives worldwide.

If we talk about India, the total number of cases has reached the mark of 60 but the good thing is that there has been no loss of life till now but a 76 years old man from a southern state is said to be in a serious condition and he may be the first Indian to lose life because of corona virus. While the Indian government and the state governments are leaving no stone unturned in controlling the situation and containing the disease, people should also follow the advice given by the medical experts.

However, there is a group of Indian women from the state of Rajasthan who have come out with a unique way of combating the corona virus and that method is singing a song in which they are asking the corona virus to leave India and there is no work for it in the country.

The video of Indian women singing a song is going viral on the social media networks and the lyrics of the song are like this, “Corona Bhaag Ja… Corona Bhaag Ja Bharat Mein Tharo Kain Kam Re” (Corona run away, no work for you in India).

Here is the video:

“Stop Virat Kohli From Congratulating Team India In ICC Matches”, Cricket Fan Starts Petition

The Indian cricket fans are heartbroken at the moment as the first Indian men’s team gave a disappointing performance in the New Zealand tour and recently, the Indian women’s team lost the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which they played against Australia.

What makes it more disheartening is the fact that the Indian women’s team remained unbeaten till the finals and they had even defeated Australia in one of the league matches. Some time back, the Indian U-19 team also lost the World Cup final to Bangladesh which was played in South Africa.

After the Indian women’s team reached the finals, many people took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate them and one of them was Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He tweeted,

“Congratulations to the Indian Women’s team on qualifying for the @T20WorldCup final. We are proud of you girls and wish you all the luck for the finals.”

The Indians fans were already pretty upset with Virat Kohli and after this tweet they started trolling him for his poor form and some of them even went to the extent of calling him ‘panauti’ and his wish tweets as curse.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has also came under the radar of the Indian cricket fans and his wish tweet is also considered responsible for bringing bad luck to the Indian women’s team. Viru also congratulated the Women In Blue after they reached the finals on Twitter and he wrote,

“Would have loved seeing the semi-finals but Indra Devta ke aage kaun jeet sakta hai.

Mehnat ka parinaam achha milta hai. A reward for Winning all the matches in the group stage. Congratulations @BCCIWomen and wishing you glory this Sunday #T20WorldCup”

Now an online user Abhinay Thakur has started a campaign on Change.org in which he has demanded that Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag should not be allowed to congratulate team India units before important matches , especially semi-finals and finals of the ICC tournaments and if they do so, their social media accounts should be suspended. According to the user, the good luck wishes from both these cricketers are curse and the same is the reason behind this demand.

Till the article was written, more than 700 people had signed the petition and the target is of reaching 1000 signatures which doesn’t seem to be difficult at the moment.

Do you also think the same? Are you too going to sign the petition?
