Kohli Never Crosses Line Between Aggression & Misbehaviour, Virat’s Childhood Coach On Controversy

The Indian cricket team’s New Zealand tour has come to an end and Indian cricketers and fans both will like to forget this tour as soon as possible. Team India started pretty well with winning all the 5 matches of the T20I series but somehow they lost the track and lost the 3-match ODI series by 3-0 and 2-match test series by 2-0.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was not able to perform well in this tour and many people were of the opinion that Virat is being too nice to the Black Caps which is affecting his form to a great extent. Kohli is a quite aggressive player who doesn’t mind hurling abuses at the opposition and in the second test match, he was back in his aggressive style. While fielding in the first innings of New Zealand, Virat Kohli was seen having some chat with the public and when the Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson got out, the Indian skipper was seen giving him a fiery send-off.

Virat Kohli was slammed for this behaviour but the Indian cricketer has always remained unfazed of what his critics think of him. In fact when a journalist asked him about the incident, he told the reporter not to ask question if he doesn’t have complete details. Virat also told him not to create any controversy as he had discussion with the match referee and he has no issue with it. When the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson was asked about the incident, he said that Virat is a passionate player and there is not much to read into it.

Now the childhood coach of Virat Kohli, Rajkumar Sharma came out in defence of his disciple. He says that Virat clearly understands the difference between aggression and misbehaviour and he has never misbehaved. As per Sharma, there is a thin line between aggression and misbehaviour; Virat has never crossed that line and he should never do that in future as well. As per the coach, aggression is Virat’s strength and it helps him in performing well.

While talking to some journalists, Sharma says that when Kohli performs well, then nobody has a problem with his aggression. Talking about Virat’s bad form, he says that every player goes through such a phase and there is nothing to worry. He further hopes that his student will bounce back against South Africa.

Virat Kohli scored 38 runs in the four innings of the two test matches and if we talk about the complete tour, he scored 218 runs in 9 matches (4 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 test matches).

The Indian team will now play a 3-match ODI series against South Africa at home starting from March 12. Let’s see whether Virat will be back in form or not. What do you think?

Pujara’s Disciplined Parents Did Not Permit Him To Play Gully Cricket, Dandiya Or Fly Kites

Cheteshwar Pujara, the Indian cricketer, is one of the most reliable batsmen of the longer format of the game and he has played some great and memorable innings for the country. The parents of the cricketer have also played an important role in the success achieved by him and recently he talked about the hardships faced and sacrifices made by him and his parents so that he can make the country proud.

His parents recognised his cricketing talent at a very early age; his father Arvind Pujara was himself a cricketer and he played in Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra. The senior Pujara who was employed in Indian Railways as a clerk in Rajkot was passionate about the game and he along with his wife ensured that Cheteshwar Pujara lived a disciplined life.

Cheteshwar Pujara was not allowed to bat in tennis ball cricket as his father was of the opinion that the bounce of tennis ball differs from the regular cricket ball; however, he was allowed to keep wickets in the match. Flying kites and playing Dandiya in Navratri festival is sort of compulsory for every Gujarati but Cheteshwar Pujara was not allowed as it may result in an injury.

Pujara remembers that her mother bought a bat for Rs. 1500 and she used to pay for it in installment whenever she was able to and she also sew pads for him as the full size pads didn’t fit him. Pujara lost his mother early but her belief that her son would play for India one day gave him confidence when he started playing cricket matches.

Pujara has represented India in 77 test matches and has scored 5840 runs which include 18 hundreds and his average has been 48.66. Talking about his first class career, he played 202 matches and scored 15705 runs which also include 50 centuries.

Pujara wants that no other aspiring cricketer from Gujarat should face the hardships that have been faced by him so he and his father are setting up a cricket academy where the young talent will be given coaching with the best facilities. Pujara’s father is working pretty hard on this project and he is not only supervising it but also engaged in bringing black soil in trucks.

We wish all the best to Cheteshwar Pujara and his father for the wonderful project that they have undertaken!

Kane Williamson Reacts To Virat Kohli’s Fiery Send-Off In IndVsNZ 2nd Test Match

The Indian cricket team’s tour of New Zealand came to an end with an embarrassing defeat in the second test match as the hosts crushed the visitors by 7 wickets after achieving the target of 132 runs quite easily in their second innings. Team India failed to register even a single win in the 3 ODIs and 2 test matches, however in the beginning of the tour, the Indian team won the T20I series by 5-0.

It was said by the Indian fans that Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, is not able to perform well because he is not being aggressive as he usually is on the ground. In the second test match, Virat Kohli was back in his aggression mode and he was seen having banter with the crowd and then he gave a fiery send-off to his counterpart Kane Williamson after he got out for 3 runs.

When Virat was asked a question about it, he got angry at the reporter and asked him to come after knowing the complete details of what happened on the field. The Indian skipper went on to tell the mediaperson to avoid creating an unnecessary controversy as he has discussed the incident with the match referee Ranjan Madugalle and as per Virat, he has no problem with it.

On the other hand, the Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson gave a very subtle response when he was asked about the incident. Williamson said that Virat is passionate and there is no need to read too much into the matter.

There is no denying the fact that the Indian skipper is very passionate for the game but in this tour, he was not in a good form and scored only 38 runs in total in the four innings of two test matches. He was also accused of wasting a DRS in the second test match in the first innings when he got out LBW on the bowling of Tim Southee while it was clear even to the naked eye that he was out. Co-incidentally in the second innings also, he was LBW out and this time his wicket was taken by Colin de Grandhomme.

Hopefully, Virat will be back in the form soon!

Yami Gautam Hits Back At Haters With Strong Reply For Accusing Her Of Insulting Assamese Culture

The beautiful Bollywood actress Yami Gautam was last seen in “Bala” with Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar and the movie was loved by audiences. Recently, the actress went to Guwahati for an event but an incident happened after which she was accused to showing disrespect to the Assamese culture.

Yami went to Guwahati on March 1 as she was there for the inauguration of Great Guwahati Marathon but on the airport, one of her fans tried to put a gamosa around the neck of the actress as a welcome gesture but without her permission. Yami was not prepared for it and she pushed the fan’s hand and her team member told the fan to stay away from the “Kaabil” star.

Soon people started slamming Yami Gautam for disrespecting the Assamese culture as gamosa is a traditional attire.

The actress didn’t take much time in responding and she tweeted her side of the story. She wrote that whatever she did was done in self-defense. She further wrote that as a woman, she is not comfortable if someone tries to come close to her and as any other girl, she also has the right to express her discomfort. In addition, she clarified that she never meant to hurt sentiments of anyone but it is quite important to speak against something which one finds inappropriate.

Her tweet read, “My reaction was simply self defense. As a woman, if I am uncomfortable with anyone getting too close to me, I or any other girl has every right to express it. I didn’t intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments but it’s very important to voice out a behaviour, inappropriate in any manner”.

Yami Gautam didn’t stop here and made another tweet in which she wrote that this is the third time she has visited Assam, adding that she loves the culture and people of the state. As per her, it is not right to react without even knowing the other side of the story and spread negativity. The actress goes on to say that she will keep on coming back to this lovely place.

Yami Gautam tweeted, “This is my third visit to Assam. I have always expressed my love towards Assamese culture & people. It’s insensitive to react to a single-sided story & spread hate. I am present here, in this beautiful state for an important event & shall always keep coming back. Peace & Respect”.

However, Yami wanted to give a perfect answer to the haters so she made another tweet with her photo in which she can be seen wearing japi and gamosa.

Check out the pic:

The actress shared the photo with caption, “Had a great time flagging off ‘Great Guwahati Marathon’ -2020! Was so good to see so many smiling faces & hence could feel the love! Thank you for this beautiful ‘Japi’ & ‘Gamosa’”.

What do you think of the whole incident? Do let us know.

Pune Police Reacts To Ravindra Jadeja’s Incredible Catch In A Witty Tweet & People Are Loving It

There is no denying the fact that the social media platforms are of great help nowadays and various departments of Indian government are pretty active on social media these days. The Pune Police is also quite active on social media, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter and recently it gave a witty response on the catch taken by the Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja of Neil Wagner in the second test match which was played between India and New Zealand.

In the first innings of New Zealand, the Indian bowlers did a pretty good job by taking wickets regularly but Neil Wagner and Kyle Jamieson were becoming problems as they had already scored 51 runs for the 9th wicket partnership. On the bowling of Mohammed Shami, Neil Wagner played a pull short toward the deep square leg boundary and it seemed that the ball would reach the boundary rope easily but just then, Ravindra jadeja came running and took a stunner by jumping high in the air with one hand. The catch was so superb that the commentator Ian Smith called it one of the greatest catches of all times and Twitter was flooded with admiring tweets for Jadeja.

Pune Police also praised Jadeja but in a different manner as it tweeted, “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it ‘kanoon ka haath’? @imjadeja @BCCI #INDvNZ #NZvIND”

With kanoon ka haath, Pune Police refers to the popular line, “Kanoon ke haath bahut lambe hote hain (The hands of law are very long)”.

Here’s the tweet:

Social media users loved the tweet of Pune Police and this is how Twitterati reacted:

Talking about the second test match between India and Black Caps, the hosts have defeated the visitors quite easily by 7 wickets. India was invited to bat first after New Zealand won the toss and the Indian team bundled out for just 242 runs. However, the Indian bowlers did a great job as they got the whole New Zealand team out for 235 and India got a lead of 7 runs. But in the second innings, Indian batsmen batted worse than the first innings and the entire team got out for just 124 runs. New Zealand needed 132 runs to win the test match which they scored pretty easily just by losing 3 wickets.

The Indian team was able to make an impact in the T20Is only as they whitewashed the 5-match T20I series but after that, they were not able to win a single match in the ODIs and test matches.

This was certainly a pretty bad tour for Virat Kohli led side. What do you say?
