There is no denying the fact that winning and losing is a part of every game but the winning team should ensure that they don’t cross the limits of decency while celebrating their victory. However, there are times when emotions of the players compel them to commit something which hampers not only their image but also the image of the game.
Something similar happened in the final match of Under-19 World Cup 2020 which was played between India and Bangladesh at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. The Bangladesh team won the match by 3 wickets but it was the style of celebration of the winning team which got it slammed heavily.
The Bangladeshis were quite aggressive from the start of the match and were not leaving any chance of behaving rudely with the Indian players.
However, things got uglier when Rakibul Hasan scored the winning runs and all the Bangladeshi players ran on the field for celebrating. In course of enjoying their achievement, the Bangladeshi players also showed disrespect to the opposition players and it resulted in a clash between the Indian and Bangladeshi players.
While Indian players Ravi Bishnoi and Akash Singh have been charged by ICC for their unaccepted behaviour, Bangladeshi players Rakibul Hasan, Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain were also charged with the suspension points.
Indian player Ravi Bishnoi had a great tournament as he is the leading wicket taker with 17 wickets and he also played pretty well in the final as he took four wickets but India still lost the finals. It is definitely disheartening to see that after such a wonderful tournament, he has become a part of a controversy and it has not only affected him but his family members as well.
Ravi Bishnoi’s father Mangilal is not able to believe that his son has been named in the controversy as he feels that Ravi is the calmest among his siblings (two elder sisters and a brother). While talking to a leading daily, Mangilal explained in series all the events and how his son saved his teammate from a Bangladeshi player. He also said that Ravi’s mother is so grieved that she has not eaten anything for a day.
Indian U-19 skipper Priyam Garg also slammed the Bangladeshi team for their behaviour during the post-match conference. The Bangladeshi player Akbar Ali who was awarded with the Player of the Match also accepted that his teammates were at fault and he apologised on behalf of his team.
This is something which should not be taken lightly. What do you say?
David Warner, the Australian cricketer, has been performing pretty well for his team and he has been awarded with the Allan Border Medal for his wonderful contribution at the Australian Cricket Awards 2020. What makes him different from many other cricketers is the fact that some time ago, he went through a tough phase of his life but that made him stronger and more focused rather than making him weak.
David Warner served a suspension of one year along with his teammate Steve Smith after they both were found guilty in the ball tampering scandal in South Africa in 2018. Another Australian cricketer Cameron Bancroft was also found guilty in the same scandal but he was suspended for nine months only.
David Warner was back on the field in the World Cup 2019 and he certainly had a good tournament; however, the Australians were not able to win the World Cup. He faced some problems in Ashes but he was back in the top form during the test matches that he played against Pakistan and New Zealand. This is the third time this talented cricketer has been awarded with Allan Border Medal as earlier he got it in 2016 and 2017.
After getting the medal, David gave an emotional speech and talked about many things including the tough phase of his life. He thanked everyone including his family, friends, teammates, fans, etc. for supporting him and having faith in him. He said that he understood many things while he was away from cricket including the importance of the game and the smiles that they bring on the faces of people and kids. David who is a father of three daughters also talked about how one of his daughters once claimed that she is Virat Kohli.
While David Warner took Virat Kohli’s name, the camera captured the look on the face of Steve Smith which spoke a lot about his emotions.
Here you can see Steve Smith’s reaction:

Steve Smith also made a comeback in the World Cup 2019 along with Warner and during a match between India and Australia, the stadium audiences were booing him. At that time, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli intervened and asked the public to stop booing Steve and support him.

The Indian cricket team suffered a great setback in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand after the hosts whitewashed the visitors by 3-0. It was quite a big turnaround by the Black Caps considering the fact that India made a clean sweep in the T20I series by 5-0.
Many Indian cricket fans believe that team India performed so badly because Indian skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t scored runs in this innings and Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s performance was also not up to the mark. However, the positive that the Indian team has got from this series is that they have got reliable 4th and 5th spot batsmen in the form of Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, respectively.
KL Rahul has been in a superb form lately and he was also adjudged as the Player of the Series in the T20I series against New Zealand while in ODIs too, he batted well including a century in the last ODI. In the last ODI, KL Rahul also got engaged in a chit-chat session with the New Zealand cricketer James Neesham which made many people curious as to what was conversed between the two.
James Neesham who is also known as Jimmy Neesham took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and posted a photo of the moment involving him and KL Rahul with caption, “Papers, scissors, rock?” along with laughing emoticon.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be starting pretty soon and KL Rahul and Jimmy Neesham will be playing for the same team, i.e., Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The franchise has appointed KL Rahul as the captain while Jimmy has been bought by KXIP for Rs. 20 lakh.
The New Zealand cricketer didn’t miss the chance of reminding his skipper to save runs for April when IPL is going to be played. Jimmy tweeted, “Don’t forget to save some runs for April aye @klrahul11 ?”
Don’t forget to save some runs for April aye @klrahul11 ?
AAP is cruising to a comfortable victory in Delhi Assembly elections 2020. It’s a big moment for the Aam Aadmi Party and its leader Arvind Kejriwal. Let’s take a look at the strategy that AAP used for elections.
The ‘All Positive’ strategy
Instead of talking negative about others, AAP’s strategy was to remail All positive and make people feel positive about their future. The thing that made Kejriwal Delhi’s favourite is that he kept focussing on improving the lives of people by giving them better Healthcare and Education facilities at affordable prices. Not only this, he managed to keep the prices down for basic necessities like water and electricity.
Report card
Usually public questions Political parties what they have done in their ruling period but Mr. Kejriwal came up with the concept of report card of the government and a guarantee card for the future. The report card had a list of achievements of the party. This not only made his image stronger but helped in spreading the message to a large section as online users shared the Report card thing on social media.
Continuing the use of social media, AAP started employing memes and parodies. The party became active and posted video content regularly taking digs at the competitors. The content used for social media was entertaining and was based on popular movies, songs.
Lage Raho Kejriwal
AAP even released its campaign song, “Lage Raho Kejriwal” which was created by Bollywood composer Vishal Dadlani. This became the theme of all the events ranging from local public meetings by leaders of different ranks to Kejriwal’s roadshows.
What are your takeaways from AAP’s win? Share your views in the comments section.
When a baby is born in our families, everyone becomes so conscious of the being in terms of his/her hygiene, consumption, clothes and what not! When the baby grows up, the first tension every parent goes through is his/her studies, the school, uniform, healthy food, etc.
But there are thousands of children out there who do not get a similar treatment due to many complications. Some of them have parents who are unable to afford the required luxury for them, some of them are given responsibilities as soon as they turn 2 or maybe 3.
A lot of times, we see kids begging at traffic lights wearing rags. Their situation is miserable and sometimes leaves tears in our eyes. But what do we do for them is the real deal!
Manju – Igniting Hopes!
Here’s this kid Manju who lost her parents at a very small age and never got to see them consciously. Her grandmother is taking care of her but she is unable to earn enough to make both ends meet to even send the kid to school and provide proper education.
When you look at this tiny star, you’ll notice how bright and talented she is. So, the idea is to come together and help her get proper schooling and all the needs that come with it.
We can all contribute a little and collect funds to help the girl become something great in the future. When the appeal went out in the world, people came together and the campaign successfully collected around 25K in 3 days through which some necessities were bought for the little child.
Jasprit Bumrah, the young Indian pacer, is termed as one of the best fast bowlers of the present time and there is no denying the fact that if India has to win the upcoming T20I World Cup 2020, a lot will depend on Bumrah as well. However, his unusual bowling action also made him pretty popular and it won’t be wrong to say that it is quite difficult to copy as well.
Nevertheless it is definitely surprising to see that a kid from Auckland, New Zealand, copied Bumrah’s action in a perfect manner. A Twitter user shared a video in which the kid is seen copying the bowling action of Jasprit Bumrah while bowling and it is so similar to that of Bumrah that even the former New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris praised the kid as well as shared the video.

Before the start of the 2nd ODI which was played between India and New Zealand in Auckland, the video was shown to Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal by former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull who asked for their opinion. While Bumrah laughed after seeing the kid copying his bowling action, Chahal once again came up with a cheeky answer and called the boy’s action better than Bumrah’s action. Yuzi said, “It’s better than Bumrah”.
Talking about the ODI series, the hosts have won the series as they are already leading by 2-0. While in the first ODI, New Zealand chased a huge total of 347 and defeated India, in the second ODI, New Zealand scored 273/8 after they were invited to bat first by the Indians. With the help of some brilliant bowling performances, the hosts were able to stop visitors at the score of 251 and won the match by 22 runs.
This must be a big surprise for Indians as just some time ago, they whitewashed the T20I series by 5-0. Hopefully, Indians will bounce back in the third ODI which will be played on 11th February at Bay Oval.
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is well-known not only for his wonderful wicket-taking bowling but also for his great sense of humour. He also runs a show Chahal TV in which he chats with other cricketers, mostly his teammates, and updates the cricket lovers about the latest happenings taking place in team India. He is also pretty active on social media and also likes to give witty comments on the posts made by his friends and colleagues.
Recently, the English female cricket all-rounder Danielle Wyatt who is also very much active on social media took to Instagram and shared a photo in which she is seen batting in nets.
While many people commented on the image, one comment that got specially noticed was the one made by Yuzvendra Chahal who wrote “666666” along with laughing emoticon.
It is not clear whether Yuzi was trying to encourage the English woman cricketer to hit six sixers in an over or he was challenging her. But the English cricketer was also quick to respond and we have to admit that her response was quite classy.
Danielle responded with the comment, “If you were bowling, yes.”
This is not the first time that Danielle and Yuzi have interacted on social media. Some time ago, the English cricketer posted a starry eyed emoji when Chahal posted his photo with his teammate Rishabh Pant and wrote, “Just the two team mates – chilling”.
What do you think of the response given by Danielle Wyatt?
