Pakistani Christian Girls Are Being Targeted By Chinese Men As Brides

Human Trafficking is a grave violation of Human Rights. It is one of the evils crimes to ever happen in the world and almost every country or city all around the globe has this crime going on for years.

Mostly children and women fall into the trap of traffickers every year and also thousands of people every year. They are made to work as labourers or commercial sex workers.

Recently in Pakistan, a market has been identified for human trafficking.

As per NDTV, the human trafficking brokers in the country are hunting for brides in the city to sell them to Chinese men. Mainly Christian girls are being targeted with the agents stalking the churches in the country to look out for any potential brides.

The brokers have the backing of Christian clerics who help them target poor parents who will be ready to exchange their daughters for wealth. Thousands of dollars are given to the parents and they’re told that their son-in-law is Christian converts and are from rich families.

According to the statements of the brides who have been subjected to trafficking said all the promises made are a fake!

A victim of Human Trafficking Muqadas Ashraf was married off to a Chinese man at the age of 16. She disclosed it is all fake and all the promises made are rubbish.

Muqadas has come back to her home after 5 months of her marriage. She is seeking a divorce from her husband. Muqadas is now pregnant. In her statement, she also said her husband was abusive.

The life of the girls turns miserable once they land in China. They are forced to marry against their will and left stranded in remote rural regions and are physically abused.

The Human Rights and Minorities Minister Aslam Augustine in Pakistan’s Punjab said, This is human trafficking and only for greed these marriages are happening as they target the poor families.

In a recent raid, Pakistan Federal Investigation Agency arrested eight Chinese and 4 Pakistani localities in connection of Human Trafficking and the number of bride trafficking has increased and they have the evidence that Pakistani girls are being used as sex slaves in China as per Gio Tv.

Game Of Thrones: Starbucks Generated $2.3 Billion From Free Advertising After The Coffee Mug Gaffe

The latest episode of Game Of Thrones created a stir among the fans. A particular scene during the dinner celebration held on the occasion of defeating the night king.

Daenerys Targaryen being uncomfortable with Jon Snow’s popularity didn’t make the audience uncomfortable but the presence of the Starbucks coffee mug at 17.04 mark, definitely did trig the GOT fans.

The coffee cup which appeared on the episode claimed by fans as a Starbucks coffee cup generated approximately $2.3 Billion worth of free advertising and the fun fact about it is that was not even the beverage from Starbucks.

According to CNBC, the coffee cup aired on the episode was actually a plain cup from craft services an on-site food service.

However, the fans lost their cool and started assuming the cup as a Starbucks drink. The coffee mug gaffe went out of proportion and social media exploded with memes and trolls.

A Public Relation subscription company recorded the total mention of Starbucks and Game Of Thrones as 10,627 counts all over the internet, radio and television broadcasts.

Stacy Jones Chief Executive Officer Of Hollywood Branded said the total discussion valued approximately $2.3 Billion as per the commercial value.

The American coffee company Starbucks didn’t stay behind and took advantage of the situation. Starbucks took to their twitter handle and tweeted ‘TBH we’re surprised she didn’t order a Dragon Drink.’

Why can’t we get this lucky just for a day like Starbucks!

Review Of Student Of The Year 2 : Watch The Movie Without Any Expections

Actual History Inspired Game Of Thrones, See How

Your favorite American TV series Game Of Thrones might be a fantasy show but this doesn’t mean that it has no resemblance with any person or situation whatsoever. The series is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin‘s fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire. The author has picked up some greatest events from world history and used it in his novels.
Here are some historical events which inspired some incidents of the Game of Thrones-

1. The Red Wedding and The Black Dinner

The Red Wedding was a massacre which happened in the castle of The Freys. After the marriage ceremony Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey, King Robb, his wife, Queen Talisa, his mother, Lady Catelyn, most of his bannermen and men-at-arms, around 15,000 men were brutally murdered. This sequence of the show was inspired by the real historical event Black Dinner.

A dinner hosted for 10 years old King James II, was a children’s tea party in Scotland. 16 years old William Douglas and his brother David, heads of the powerful Scottish clan were also invited for the dinner. The children’s dinner turned to a massacre when the King’s men killed all of them including William and David.

2. Lannister & Starks and War of Roses

The cutthroat enmity between the Lannnisters and Starks is the main focus of the series since the very beginning. This plot has been borrowed by a true story known as War Of Roses. It was a series of English civil wars fought between two conflicting wings of the royal House of Plantagenet: the House of Lancaster, symbolized with a red rose, and the House of York, whose symbol was a white rose. Eventually, the war resulted in the elimination of the male line of both the families.
Well, if you look closely, you can even notice the resemblance of the names of the houses. Isn’t it interesting?

3. Joffrey and Edward Lancaster

You think the arrogant King of Westeros Joffrey is only a fictional character, you are certainly wrong. You would have hated him at some point in the series but do you know that his character has been adopted from a real-life teenage King Edward of Lancaster. He was throned at the age of 13 and he is said to be suffering from a mental illness. And just like Joffrey’s legitimacy, Edward’s was also questioned. It was a widespread rumor that Edward was a result of his mother’s affair with one of her loyal supporters.

4. Wall Of The North and Hadrian’s Wall

The idea of the solid ice wall protecting the North from the nightwalkers and the wildings has been taken from Hadrian’s Wall, also called the Roman Wall or Picts’ Wall. Just like the TV series, a lot has taken place around the Hadrian’s Wall, like rapes, murders, and loots. Hadian’s wall was made by Romans to keep out “Barbarians”.

5. War Of Five Kings and The Hundred Year’s War

The war between England and France lasted for almost the century in the 1300s in which five generations of kings from two rival dynasties fought for the sovereignty of the largest kingdom in Western Europe. This historical event became the inspiration of the War of Five Kings in GOT. The battle finally ended when Joan of Arc was burnt alive just like Shireen Baratheon in GOT.

6. The Mad King and Charles VI Of France

The author of GOT probably got the idea of the Mad King Aerys from Charles VI of France who suddenly went mad, murdered four knights, and almost killed his brother, Louis I, Duke of Orléans. Charles VI suffered from various delusions, such as believing that he was made of glass and that is why he used to wear metals to make sure no one can break him.

7. The Dothraki clan and The Mongols

One of the fiercest tribes of GOT series is the Dothraki tribe. They left no one who crossed their way. Raping, killing and pillaging is their way of life and the whole clan is inspired by the Mongol Empire which existed during the 13th and 14th centuries. The Mongols were very brutal and destroyed cities leaving only fats and flesh of people. They only spared a few to live and tell others about their terror.

8. Battle of Bastards and Battle of Cannae

The strategy of epic battle from season 6, fought between Jon Snow and Ramsey Snow, two bastards of the Seven Kingdoms was actually taken from Battle of Cannae, fought between the Romans and Carthaginians.

So now you know that your favorite author George R. R. Martin is not just an excellent writer but also has a good knowledge of world history.
