Jet Airways after serving for 25 years of Joy of Flying stopped all operations last night. Once the second largest airline service in India now all flight operations of Jet Airways has been temporarily grounded as the company has run out of money for the daily necessities as aeroplane fuel.
On Wednesday, 17 April the Jet Airways board said they were taking the very difficult decision of grounding all the flights temporarily as the airline failed to secure interim funding for even maintaining minimum operations after it lenders declined Rs.900 crore.
The last flight operated from Amritsar to Mumbai S2 3502 at 10.19 pm. It touched down 40 minutes before the scheduled landing, the flight landed in Mumbai at 12.22 am.
The worried employees were asked not to communicate with the media about the crisis. The corporate communication team of Jet Airways in an e-mail wrote to its employees on Thursday evening, “We are currently at a critical stage of our bid process that is being led by our lenders. We urge you to refrain from engaging with the media and let the task of interaction with external stakeholders (especially the media) be restricted to our colleagues at corporate communication team.”
The email also read ‘Our airlines are loved by the all and every newspaper will try to carry a story on Jet Airways.’
25 years in the service and the sudden crisis left all the employees of the aircraft in doom. But the employees were shaken with the powerful turbulence which put the jobs of 20,000 employees on stake and has left them in a critical state looking for jobs in other airlines.
After all the employees from the different departments of Jet Airways gathered in Mumbai and Delhi for a protest to save their airline outside the carriers headquarter. The GAG order was soon enforced for the employees.
The salaries of the employees are not cleared since January and many employees haven’t received the salary of the month of March.

In the movie, Ajay is playing the character of a 50 years old man who falls in love with Rakul Preet Singh, a young girl who is in her 20s.
After the name of Saif and Kareena was heard in the trailer, people started thinking that Saifeena may not like it and take an action such as asking Ajay to delete the scene or omitting their names.
However, nothing of that sort happened and when Saif was asked about it, he had a pretty cool reaction as he said, “Hey, that’s cool, man”.
Well, that’s an unexpected and classy response from the Nawab which proves that he is not just a great father and husband but also a cool dude.

Now the Indian captain Virat Kohli has responded on this matter in an interview to India Today. According to him, he and the team management are happy with the 15-member team that they have got as it is a balanced team because every player seems to be in good condition. He did give a hint that the team was selected after his approval only.
Virat also talked about the times when MS Dhoni supported him and showed confidence in him. Kohli said that Dhoni had the option of giving chances to other players after the former joined the team but he supported him.
Virat further added that he might have taken benefit of the chances that he got but still getting Dhoni’s support was quite necessary.
As per the Indian skipper, he was given the chance to bat at number 3 by Dhoni which is certainly a big thing because not many young batsmen get the chance of batting at that position.
Virat has scored 8743 runs with an average of 63.35 while batting at number 3 and it includes 34 centuries and 39 half-centuries. His strike rate is 94.14 and his highest score (183) of ODI has also been scored at the same position.
Virat also praised Dhoni as he said that the latter knows the game inside-out and there is hardly anyone who can read the game better than him. Kohli also stated that for making any strategy, he has discussions with Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.

Ajay Devgn is presently busy in the promotions of his upcoming film “De De Pyaar De” and although the trailer was liked by movie buffs, the flick is making headlines for some wrong reasons as well.
People have also targeted Ajay and slammed him for working with Alok Nath as the latter has been accused of raping and molesting a writer Vinta Nanda. A case has already been registered against Alok Nath and he has been granted an anticipatory bail by the court.
The actual incident took place years ago but Vinta Nanda got the courage to speak up only after the #MeToo movement started. Ever since she spoke against Alok Nath, almost everyone from the industry made distance from the actor and when the trailer of “De De Pyaar De” was released, viewers got very angry after seeing Alok Nath in the movie.
Actress Tanushree Dutta who has accused Nana Patekar of s*xually abusing her has criticised Ajay Devgn for helping Alok Nath in making a comeback in Bollywood. Many people including Tanushree are saying that the scenes of the film in which Alok Nath has acted could have been re-shot with another actor.
Ajay has now talked about these allegations and has also made it clear that he is completely in support of #MeToo movement. According to him, he respects every single woman and would not support anything wrong happening to a woman, adding that his stand has been the same from the very beginning of the movement.
On the matter of re-shooting of the scenes, he said that the scenes were shot before the allegations were made (October 2018) and it was almost impossible to re-shoot the portions which were shot at various locations and included 10 actors as all the actors including him had started working on different projects by that time.
He further added that the decision of re-shooting the portions involving Alok Nath would have meant a huge loss for the producers. The actor asked in the official statement as to why he is being singled out and called insensitive despite the fact that the decision to re-shoot or not would have been a joint decision (including the makers) and not only his choice. He once again showed his support for #MeToo movement and rejected all the allegations that have been levied against him calling him insensitive.

The movie got released on 17th April, 2019, and became the biggest opener of the year with a massive collection of Rs 21.60 crore. It was obviously expected to make a grand opening due to its cast and also because of the fact that it was releasing on a holiday as it was Mahavir Jayanti on that day.
Not to forget to mention, huge hype was created before the release of the flick but it was expected that on the second day, the collections would come down for its being a working weekday. However, the dip in the earnings on Thursday is quite substantial and far more than what had been expected.

The film is set in the pre-independence era of 1940s and has brought back two veteran superstars Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit together on the big screen after a long time. Other than these, the movie also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in important roles.
It will be interesting to see how the movie performs on the third day which is also a holiday, i.e., Good Friday.
