The Indian cricket team had a pretty disappointing tour of South Africa as they lost both test series and ODI series by 2-1 and 3-0, respectively. However, now the Indian side will certainly look forward to perform well against the West Indies team which will be touring India in February.

Rohit Sharma will be back for leading the squad after missing the complete series of South Africa due to injury and KL Rahul who led the team in ODIs against South Africa in Hitman’s absence will be assisting him as a deputy but he won’t be available in the first ODI and in KL Rahul’s absence, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named Rishabh Pant as vice-captain for the first ODI.

While Rohit Sharma has the best chance to get the captaincy of the test team after Virat Kohli gave up the captaincy due to India’s poor performance in test matches, the former Indian cricketers and cricketing experts are of the opinion that Rishabh Pant should be groomed for the post of captain as Rohit Sharma will be 35 yrs old in April and won’t be able to lead India for a long period.

Amidst all this, an old video of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is going viral in which he stated that a wicketkeeper is the vice-captain of the team irrespective of the fact that whether he has been announced officially or not because the responsibility of setting the field is mostly on the wicketkeeper or the vice-captain and he has to make sure that the field is set as per the directions of the skipper.

Many former cricketers are also of the opinion that 24 years old Rishabh Pant should be preferred over KL Rahul because the former’s track record in the IPL as a skipper has been better than the latter’s record. In “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.”, Sanjay Dutt was shown helping patients using unconventional methods and he also achieved success in some instances. While many people have argued that whatever is shown in the movie is not possible in reality, we are going to show you one video which will prove that there are some other ways as well to bring improvement in a patient’s condition.

Remember “Dekh le….”? Of course, who can forget the energetic number! A video is going viral in which a nurse is seen helping a paralytic patient by making him dance while lying on the bed. In the clip, it is shown that a hospital nurse was giving some physiotherapy exercises to the patient.

Then she gave him dance therapy as she played a song in high tone, started dancing in front of him and also asked him to dance. Later on, she asked the patient to hold his paralytic hand with the other hand and make it dance as well, the patient was also in high spirits and he did what the nurse asked him to do. In the end, the nurse gave high-five to the patient and we are quite sure that this must have increased the patient’s confidence.

The video was shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter by a social worker Nandini Venkatadri with the caption, “This clever nurse was giving her paralytic patient some physiotherapy exercises.. and did this dance number to make him be in high spirits. She extracted co-operation and we can see his smile and joy doing those exercises.”

Saba Karim also thinks that being the skipper, Rohit Sharma along with coach Rahul Dravid should talk to Virat Kohli and make him aware of the culture that they want to bring in the team and ask Kohli for his suggestions. Karim adds that both the players should keep their personal matters away and think about the team and the goals that they want the team to achieve. Questions were raised on his captaincy skills and also on some of the decisions taken by him during the series. Though Rohit Sharma is the new skipper of the Indian cricket team in the limited overs format, KL Rahul was leading the team on the South African tour in the absence of Hitman as he was injured.

The Indian head coach Rahul Dravid did not see many faults in KL Rahul’s captaincy and stated that he would learn as he would lead India in some more games.

However, the Indian cricketer turned politician Manoj Tiwary is pretty unhappy with KL Rahul’s selection as a skipper and he asks the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) as to what they have seen in KL Rahul which made them think that he is captain material. Manoj Tiwary adds that the board is saying they are grooming KL Rahul as the skipper but Tiwary asks how a captain can be groomed as he is of the opinion that either a person is born as a leader or he is not capable of leading the team. Tiwary adds that it can be ascertained in few games whether a person will suit in that role or not. He further states that captaincy is an inbuilt quality which comes naturally to a person and grooming a skipper is possible but it is a time-taking process. He goes on to say that it will take around 20-25 games for a player to learn decision-making but even then there is no surety of success.

Manoj Tiwary says that he is more upset with the BCCI and the selectors rather than KL Rahul and wants to know the reasons behind his appointment. He adds that considering the fact we have so many good players, we should not have lost the series by 3-0 and some wrong decisions have played an important role in our defeat. He concludes by saying that he is pretty disappointed with the selectors because they should try to identify captaincy skills rather than grooming a player as the captain.
