Ravindra Jadeja Expressed His Wish Of Becoming CSK Skipper After MS Dhoni But Deleted Tweet
The second leg of the IPL 2021 is going to start from September 19 and Chennai Super Kings will certainly like to win its fourth IPL title this time especially when it has performed pretty well in the first leg of the league. CSK was at the second position in the points table with 5 wins in 7 matches before the league got postponed due to COVID-19.
MS Dhoni, the skipper of CSK, is the second most successful captain of the league and over the time, he has earned the reputation of being one of the finest cricketers of all times. However, it is also true that age is not on his side and the Chennai franchise will need to look for a new skipper in a year or so. Many people from the cricketing fraternity believe that it is the right time for CSK to bid farewell to Mahi as his batting has lost the spark that it used to have and also for the fact that mega-auction will take place next year.
Recently, a CSK fan page posted a question on the micro-blogging site Twitter and asked the followers who they would like to see leading CSK after MS Dhoni.
The tweet read, “Who would be your pick to captaining the CSK team after MS Dhoni?”
Soon many followers started commenting with their choices but there was one comment which was noticed the most and it was made by none other than the Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja who has been associated with CSK for a long time now. Jadeja wrote 8 in his tweet and it was a way of indicating towards himself as Jadeja wore no. 8 jersey. Though Jadeja deleted the tweet later on, many online users took a screenshot of it and now it has become a topic of discussion among fans.

There is no denying the fact that Ravindra Jadeja is one of the best all-rounders of the present time and his superb fielding skills also make him stand apart from others. He is pretty much experienced as he has been playing international cricket since 2009 and has emerged as a match-winner many times for the Indian team as well for CSK in the IPL.
While Suresh Raina is also a contender for the post of the skipper after MS Dhoni, what makes Ravindra Jadeja’s candidature stronger is the fact that Raina has already retired from the international cricket but Jadeja is still an integral part of the Indian squad.
