These TV Actresses Beat Their Husbands In Not Just Popularity But Income Too

Many times we have heard people talking about income disparity between male and female actors in the Indian television world and film industry but things are changing for sure in this regard. Now there are many actresses, both in television and movies, who are not only more popular than their male counterparts but they are also earning more than many male actors. Earlier, it was not considered good if a woman earns more than her husband but in the present scenario, many husbands are pretty fine with the fact that their wives are earning more than them and they are in fact quite supportive of them too.

Here in this article we are going to tell you about those Indian television actresses who enjoy more popularity and income than their hubbies.

1. Rubina Dilaik:

The beautiful actress started her career with serial Chotti Bahu after which she was seen in quite a few serials but she is best known for playing the role of a transgender in serial Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Rubina also took part in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 14 and won it as well. The actress also made her movie debut in June 2022 with “Ardh” in which she worked with actor Rajpal Yadav and Hiten Tejwani. Rubina is married to actor Abhinav Shukla but she is more popular that her husband and also earns more than him, it is being said that she charges around Rs. 80K per episode.

2. Divyanka Tripathi:

She is certainly one of the most popular TV actresses of the present times and has entertained us with her acting performances in many serials and shows such as Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan and Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale, etc. Divyanka Tripathi is married to her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-star Vivek Dahiya but she is way popular that her husband and charges around Rs. 80 thousand to Rs. 1 lakh per episode which is more than what her husband is paid.

3. Bharti Singh:

It won’t be wrong to say that the stand-up comedian Bharti Singh is the most popular woman comedian of present times and she is certainly a household name in India. She is also a TV host and has worked in many shows including The Kapil Sharma Show. Bharti is married to Haarsh Limbachiyaa who is one of the highest paid screenwriters at present but still it is being said that Bharti charges almost double of what Haarsh charges.

4. Dipika Kakar Ibrahim:

Dipika has worked in quite a few TV serials but she is best known for playing the character of Simar in Sasural Simar Ka which she portrayed from 2011 till 2017. How popular she is can be understood by the fact that she has also won the reality show Bigg Boss 12 despite the fact that the show had famous celebs including the former Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth. Dipika is married to actor Shoaib Ibrahim with whom she has worked in Sasural Simar Ka but she is way more popular than him and charges around Rs. 70K to Rs. 80K per episode which is much more than Shoaib.

5. Gauahar Khan:

The famous actress-model Gauahar Khan has worked in quite a few movies but she has mostly done small roles or hit dance numbers. She also won Bigg Boss 7 and during her stay in the house, she got in a relationship with actor Kushal Tandon but they both broke up in 2013. She got married to actor, dancer, social media influencer Zaid Darbar, son of musician Ismail Darbar, in the year 2020 and a lot was said about both of them as Gauahar is elder to Zaid. Not just in age but in terms of popularity and earnings also, Gauahar is way ahead of her husband.

6. Rupali Ganguly:

There is no chance that Rupali Ganguly can be missed from this list as the actress is making everyone go crazy with her acting skills in the ongoing serial Anupamaa in which she is playing the lead role. Rupali has entertained us earlier as well with her super acting but her performance in Anupamaa has been impeccable and she has even surpassed the famous male actors Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy in terms of remuneration. She is married to an ad filmmaker Anil Ganguly and she is undoubtedly earning more than him. If reports are to be believed, Rupali charges Rs 3 lakh per episode; earlier she was paid Rs 1.5 lakh per episode but with the increasing popularity of the show, her fee has also increased significantly.

Things seem to be going great in Ajinkya Rahane’s personal life but as far as the cricketer’s career is concerned, he has been going through a lean phase because of which he got dropped from the national team. The last test match series that Ajinkya Rahane played for the country was against South Africa which the Indian team lost by 2-1. Ajinkya Rahane took to the micro-blogging site and wrote, “Back at home before I hit the grass again.. Trying to sort my weekend plans, wondering if I could get some show/movie recommendations!”

While some online users helped him genuinely by suggesting shows and movies such as “Rocketry”, “Vikram”, “RRR”, “Soorarai Pottru”, “Flight Attendant”, “Lincoln Lawyer”, “Severance”, “Fire in Babylon”, “Major”, “Predestination”, etc., there were few who trolled him by asking when he is retiring and several others even asked him to see Cheteshwar Pujara’s batting in county cricket as the veteran Indian cricketer has scored three double tons of the season.

Here are some tweets from the trollers:

Ajinkya Rahane was an integral part of the Indian team for a long time especially in the test format. He has played 82 test matches for the country in which he has scored 4931 runs including 12 centuries and 25 fifties. The Indian skipper’s wife tried to have some fun by calling it a coupley photo:

To this, Shardul Thakur responded by saying that the pic looks coupley because they have taken their (Rohit and Ritika’s) seats.

However, the Indian spinner Yuzi came up with a great response as he wrote that coupley photo is always with his Rohitaaaa Sharmaaaa and at the same time, he also wrote #loyalty in his comment.

Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor appeared on the famous talk show Koffee with Karan along with Sara Ali Khan and though the promos increased the excitement of audiences yet when the episode was streamed. it ended up being one of the most boring episodes of Karan Johar’s show. Recently, Janhvi appeared in another talk show and while talking about her favourite subjects, she said that she cared only about History and Literature and she performed well in those subjects too. However, she added that she never understood why she studied Algebra when she never used it in her life. The actress crossed the limits when she said that while Literature and History make a person cultured, Maths makes a person retarded.

While everyone likes some subjects and hates some other ones, it doesn’t justify the fact that you can give names to those who like that particular subject which you don’t like. In fact, Maths is one subject which is used by all of us in some manner in our daily lives, the use may be more or less but Maths is an integral part of our lives.

Some online users also started calling Janhvi Kapoor the next Alia Bhatt because during one of the episodes of Koffee with Karan, Alia Bhatt replied with Prithviraj Chauhan when she was asked to name the President of India.

What is your opinion in regard to Janhvi’s statement?

Aryabhata or Aryabhata I was an Indian mathematician and astronomer who flourished in the Gupta Era and is credited for the invention of zero along with many other works such as Aryabhatiya and Arya-siddhanta. Later on, other mathematicians such as Brahmagupta studied Aryabhata’s work and divided into Ganita (maths), Kalakriya (Calculations on Time) and Golapada (Spherical Astronomy). Aryabhata also calculated the value of pi and he was aware of the fact that it is an irrational number. Arybhata’s work was also translated in Arabic and few Persian and Arab mathematicians and astronomers were influenced by him.

TikTok user @swedishswan revealed that she really wanted a job but one morning she woke up and saw the rejection letter in her email. She said that as she was truly interested in this job, she took inspiration for Gen Z and replied with a meme.

The meme featured the painting of Pope Leo X which was drawn by Fernando Botero with phrase “y tho” written underneath the face of Pope, the phase means “why though”.

The officials at the company got so impressed that they decided to give her a chance for job interview!
