“When You Order Shoaib Akhtar Online,” Twitter Roasts Umran Malik For Giving 56 Runs In 4 Overs

The young Indian fast bowler Umran Malik who made headlines during the IPL 2022 because of his pace is all over social media at present but for all the wrong reasons. In the league, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and bowled at the speed of around 150km/hr or above and in all the matches, he won the prize for the fastest delivery of the match.

Soon, the Indian cricket fans started demanding that the young pacer from Jammu & Kashmir should be a part of the Indian team and the selectors also thought of giving a chance to the youngster by including him in the team for the Ireland tour where India played 2 T20Is.

However in his debut match against Ireland, Umran Malik went for 14 runs in his first over after which the stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya didn’t give him another over. In the second T20I, Umran Malik once again failed to make an impact as he went for 42 runs in his 4 overs and took just one wicket.

The Indian team management once again gave a chance to the young pacer as they included him in the team which played and lost the third and final T20I of the 3-match series against England. As India was leading in the series by 2-0, some big changes were made in the squad as all-rounder Hardik Pandya, pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal were replaced by Ravi Bishnoi, Shreyas Iyer, Avesh Khan and Umran Malik.

Umran Malik performed poorly against England in the 3rd T20I as he gave away 56 runs (economy rate – 14) in his 4 overs and took only one wicket. The pace sensation who was making waves during the IPL 2022 for his team SRH was declared unfit for the international cricket by many online users who trolled Umran Malik mercilessly.

With this performance, Umran Malik has secured the third spot in the list of bowlers who have given the most runs in T20 cricket, the first being Yuzvendra Chahal (0/64), second is Joginder Sharma (0/57) while Deepak Chahar and Umran Malik have tied for 1/56.

Many fans now feel that Umran Malik should be sent to play domestic cricket while the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has stated that Umran Malik is in their scheme of things for the T20 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma Strongly Reacts To Kapil Dev’s Comment On Virat Kohli’s Presence In The Team

The Indian cricket team lost the third and the final T20I against England which was played at Trent Bridge yesterday despite the heroic efforts of Suryakumar Yadav who scored 117 runs in just 55 balls and his innings included 14 fours and 6 sixes. No other Indian batsman could even touch the 30 runs mark as the team fell short by 17 runs while chasing the target of 216.

The biggest disappointment of the match was the dismissal of Virat Kohli who was looking in good touch as he hit David Willey for a four and then for a straight six but then he gave a catch to Jason Roy while trying to play one more big shot. Virat Kohli has been going through a tough phase and he has failed miserably in the past few matches in making an impact with his bat plus he didn’t score big in the fifth rescheduled test match against England and in the two T20Is as well.

Many former cricketers and experts have now started talking about Virat Kohli’s exclusion from the team, recently the legendary former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev stated that if the world’s number 2 bowler in test cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin can be made to sit out, why a player who used to be the world’s number one player can’t be dropped from the team. Kapil Dev was pretty clear when he said that a player can’t carry on just on the basis of his reputation, especially when there are many youngsters who are performing well.

During the press conference which took place after the third match, Rohit Sharma was asked to comment on the opinions of the experts who want Kohli to be dropped. The Indian skipper states that there is a thought process which is followed in the team and the players are supported depending on that. Rohit Sharma doesn’t agree with the comments made by Kapil Dev and says that he is seeing things from the outside and has no knowledge of what is happening inside. Hitman adds that a lot of thinking goes in making a team and outside people can’t get to know about this. He goes on to say that whatever happening outside is not important for him and instead he gives significance to what is happening inside.

Talking further in this regard, Rohit Sharma states that such things can happen to everyone, it has happened to him as well but what needs to be kept in mind is that quality of a player doesn’t get affected whether his form is up or down. He further says that a player who has performed well for so many years doesn’t become a bad player if he doesn’t perform in 1-2 series and the past performances of the player can’t be overlooked as well. Rohit Sharma adds that those who are in the team know the value of the player and those who are outside can say whatever they want but he doesn’t give importance to that.

While Kapil Dev and Ajay Jadeja have earlier talked about Virat Kohli’s exclusion from the team in their own style, recently former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Venkatesh Prasad also expressed their unhappiness over Virat’s inclusion in the team on the basis of reputation. Though both of them didn’t take any name, it was easy to understand about whom they are talking about.

Viru Paaji wrote, “India has so many batsman who can get going from the start , some of them are unfortunately sitting out. Need to find a way to play the best available players in current form in T-20 cricket. #IndvEng”

Venkatesh Prasad talked about the times when the big players also used to get dropped and they would have to go back to domestic cricket to earn their place in the national squad. He also expressed his unhappiness over the manner in which yardsticks changed and gave example of legendary Anil Kumble who also had to sit out on some occasions.

Viral Video Of Hardik Pandya Allegedly Abusing Rohit Sharma Sets Twitter On Fire

Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder is certainly enjoying his time in the middle of the field and he is not just scoring runs at a good rate but tasting success with the ball as well. He made a great comeback in the IPL 2022 after remaining away from cricket for a long time due to injury and fitness issues.

Hardik Pandya led the new IPL team Gujarat Titans in the tournament and made the team win its first IPL title in its debut season and then in the series against South Africa and Ireland, he once again performed well. In the first T20I against England, Hardik Pandya shined with both bat and ball and won the Player of the Match award for his superb performance. He scored 51 runs and took four wickets in the match and with this, he became the first Indian to score a fifty and take four wickets in an international match.

However, the Gujarat cricketer is in the centre of controversy at the moment as a video clip is going viral from the second T20I in which the stump mic caught Pandya Jr. using abusive language for a teammate. As far as the series is concerned, India has won the series by 2-1 as the hosts won the third and the final T20I by 17 runs. The match was played at Trent Bridge and the hosts went to bat first after winning the toss. England scored 215 runs at the loss of 7 wickets with the help of brilliant knocks of Dawid Malan (77 runs, 39 balls, 6 fours & 5 sixes) and Liam Livingstone (42 runs not out, 29 balls, 4 sixes). The Indian batters excluding Suryakumar Yadav found it difficult to score runs on bowling of the England bowlers and the Indian team managed to score only 198/9 in its 20 overs. SKY played a sensational innings of 117 runs for which he faced just 55 deliveries and his innings included 14 fours and 6 sixes; however, he wasn’t able to save his team from losing the match.

Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishan Kishan and Deepak Hooda were rested in the third T20I.

In A Unique Protest, MP People Turn A Huge Pothole Into A Beach & Party There, Video Goes Viral

Good infrastructure is certainly one of the most important aspects which are needed for providing a good standard of living and though the Indian government and state governments are working a lot in this regard, still a lot remains to be done. There are many areas where roads don’t get repaired for long even after repeated complaints are made by citizens.

Sometimes a person finds it difficult to understand whether there are potholes on roads or there is road between potholes because they are in such a huge number. The social media platforms have given a new medium to the citizens of the country to raise their voices especially after no one in the authorities listen to them.

In one such interesting incident, some residents of Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, have come up with a quite unique idea of protest as there is a giant pothole in the middle of the road which hasn’t been repaired by the authorities and due to rains, it has now got filled with water.

A video is going viral on the micro-blogging site Twitter in which some residents are seen having a gala time as they are using the pothole filled with water as a beach. They have decorated it with flowers and some people are sitting on the sides of the pothole while three people are sitting on chairs inside the pothole with their feet under the water and they are having soft drinks.
