Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has been making headlines for quite some time now and mostly for all the wrong reasons but recently he was in news for making everyone laugh as he gave a very weird answer to a question asked in an interview related to his biopic.
Things between Ahmed Shehzad and the Pakistani team management are not going good and recently he made a claim that in 2016, the former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis submitted a report to the Pakistan Cricket Board in which he wrote that Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad should be sent back to play in the domestic level if they want to make a comeback in the national team.
Talking about it, Shehzad stated that he had not seen the report himself but he was told this by a PCB official. He added that such matters should have been discussed face to face and he was completely ready to take the challenge and then everyone would have come to know who is right and who is wrong. Ahmed Shehzad further said that his career was hurt because of their words and they didn’t even give him a chance to present his side of the story as it was pre-planned and they wanted to kill two birds with one stone.
During the interview with Syed Yahya Hussaini when Ahmed Shehzad was asked which actor he thinks will portray his character in the best manner in his biopic, Ahmed Shehzad with a straight face answered, “Brad Pitt”.

What makes it more hilarious is that the journalist tagged the fake account (@PittOfficial) as the Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is not on Twitter. Brad Pitt, the American actor and producer, is one of the most famous actors of Hollywood and he has a huge fan following all across the globe.

Ahmed Shehzad made his debut for Pakistan in the year 2009 and he has been out of the team since 2019. In 2018, he was banned by the PCB for 10 weeks after he failed in a doping test.
Till date, Shehzad Ahmed has played 13 test matches, 81 ODIs and 57 T20Is for his country in which he has scored 982 runs, 2585 runs and 1454 runs, respectively. He is the first Pakistani batter to score a century in all the three formats as he has scored 3 centuries in test matches, 6 centuries in ODIs and 1 in T20Is.

England’s Barmy Army is known for being critical towards the Indian cricket team and the Indian cricketers and even their birthday wishes are in a very bad taste. Though competitiveness in game is a good trait, being sarcastic while offering birthday wishes is certainly not the right thing to do. However, recently Barmy Army was at its poisonous best when it wished former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni on his birthday.
MS Dhoni celebrated his 41st birthday on 7th July and wishes poured in from all over the world. Barmy Army also wished the Indian legend by posting an image from the 2019 World Cup India vs England match in which MS Dhoni is seen walking back to pavilion after getting dismissed. Barmy Army captioned the photo as, “Happy Birthday MS, some amazing battles over the years”.
This obviously didn’t go well with the Indian and CSK fans and Whistlepodu Army – CSK Fan Club gave a perfect reply to Barmy Army by posting pics from the 2013 Champions Trophy final which was played between India and England and India won it by 5 runs under the leadership of MS Dhoni. In one of the images, MS Dhoni can be seen celebrating the stumping of Ian Bell and in another photo, he is seen holding the trophy.
The tweet was captioned with, “Thank you & Yellove on behalf of all Dhoni fans. We love the courtesy extended amidst these battles and the amazing memories like these which we cherish. #HappyBirthdayDhoni”

MS Dhoni is the only skipper who has won three major ICC trophies (2007 ICC T20 World Cup, 2011 ICC ODI World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy) and this is more than enough to prove that he is one of the best skippers India has ever had.
As far as England’s Barmy Army is concerned, they have been doing such things in the past and they will surely keep on doing these kinds of stuffs in the future as well because some people never change.

Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all-rounder has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian team which is going on the West Indies tour for playing 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against the hosts. He had a very disappointing run in the IPL 2022 but he made a great comeback in the fifth rescheduled test match against England as he scored a century (104) which helped his team in posting a good total in the first innings.
Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings for a long time and the Chennai franchise retained him for Rs. 16 crore ahead of the mega auctions for the IPL 2022. Just couple of days before the start of the tournament, he was named as the skipper of CSK but after successive defeats, he decided to leave captaincy and requested MS Dhoni to once again lead the team which Mahi agreed to.
Though the actual plan of CSK was to nurture Ravindra Jadeja under the guidance of MS Dhoni so when Mahi takes retirement from the IPL, Jadeja may emerge as an able leader of the team but things didn’t go as per the plans. Once MS Dhoni also stated that for couple of matches, he oversaw his work but later on he asked Jadeja to take the decisions on his own. Mahi also stated that the pressure of captaincy might have become a burden on him which affected his performance to a great extent.
Ravindra Jadeja’s performance with the bat was also very poor in the tournament and he left captaincy citing that he wanted to focus on his game in a better manner but then he was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.
Some reports suggest that things are not on good terms between Ravindra Jadeja and the Chennai franchise as the former unfollowed latter on the social media. Now people are speculating more about the strained relationship of Ravindra Jadeja with CSK because he has deleted all the posts related to CSK from his Instagram account.
This has irked many CSK fans because they have showered Ravindra Jadeja with lots of love and affection over the years. Some fans also pointed out that Jadeja didn’t even wish Mahi on his birthday and there were few who claimed that the left-handed batsman will get replaced next year. The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the best cricketers of the present time despite the fact that he has been out of form for a very long time now. However, things have turned so ugly for him that even his biggest supporters are finding it difficult to support him. The right-handed batsman has failed to score a century for the last two years and he once again failed to make a big score in the recently concluded fifth rescheduled test match against England and if this was not enough, his aggressive behaviour has attracted criticism from many corners.
There are some experts and former cricketers who have now started saying that Virat Kohli may even lose his place in the squad which will go to play the T20 World Cup in Australia. Recently, the legendary former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev under who leadership India won the first World Cup in 1983 also opened up on this matter and he stated very categorically that if Ravichandran Ashwin may not get a place in the test squad, it is also possible that Virat Kohli may also lose his place in the team.
There is no denying the fact that Ravichandran Ashwin is the best spinner of the country presently, he is number 2 bowler in the ICC rankings for the purest format and has taken around 450 wickets till now but he hasn’t played a single test match since January. R Ashwin was also not included in the Indian playing XI for the fifth rescheduled test match against England. Indian cricket fans were quite upset with decision of the team management and they showed no hesitation in slamming the skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid.
During an interview, Kapil Dev says that players can’t be included in the team just because of their reputation, if the world’s number 2 bowler can be dropped then a batter who was number 1 at one point of time can also be dropped. He adds that the players who are in form should be played especially when you have good number of options.
Virat Kohli was not a part of the playing XI which played the first T20I against England but he is back for the remaining two T20Is. However as per the reports, the former skipper of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore has asked the selectors not to consider him for the West Indies tour. Kapil Dev has also talked on this matter as he says that Virat Kohli is not performing in the manner in which he used to do in the past, he has made a big name because of his performances but as now he is not performing, there is no justification for keeping performing youngsters out of the team. While a person may call it rest, the other may call it dropped; if he hasn’t been selected by the selectors, this is because he is not performing.
Along with Virat Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant have also been rested whereas Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the relatively less experienced team on the West Indies tour.
