There is no denying the fact that being over-weight is not good for a person and although we don’t tend to body-shame anyone yet it is true that fitness is certainly necessary to live a happy and healthy life. We have come across many weight-loss or transformation stories but Adnan Sami’s story is no less than a miracle.
Adnan Sami is a famous singer who belonged to Pakistan but in 2016, he got the Indian citizenship and since then he gets trolled a lot by Pakistanis; however this doesn’t affect the singer as he is living a happy life with his family. In fact recently, he shared some photos from Maldives where he is vacationing with his wife Roya and daughter Medina and people are just awestruck after seeing his pics as the 50 years old man looks a lot younger for his age.
There was a time when weight of Adnan Sami was around 230 kg but now he has not only lost considerable weight but it seems as if he has either stopped aging or has found a formula to reverse the ageing process.

Today (June 25) is a very special day for fans of the Indian cricket as 39 yrs ago on this day, India won the World Cup for the first time in the history of cricket. The year was 1983 and it was under the leadership of Kapil Dev that India defeated mighty West Indies in the finals to win the World Cup.
While the Indians were given no chance to win the trophy in the beginning of the tournament, the West Indies were hot favorites as they had already won the last two World Cups. Moreover, the team comprised of some cricketing greats such as Clive Lloyds, Viv Richards and Gordon Greenidge so everyone felt that the West Indians will certainly win the World Cup for the third time.
Indians are celebrating the 39th anniversary of team India’s historic win and social media is flooded with tweets remembering the achievement made by the Indian squad. Many former cricketers also took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and spoke on how this win inspired them to play for the country.
The legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made a tweet in which he posted the iconic photo of Kapil Dev holding the trophy and sequence from the movie “83” in which a kid looking pretty similar to him is seen celebrating the victory. Little Master wrote, “Some moments in life inspire you & make you dream. On this day in 1983, we won the World Cup 
for the first time. I knew right then, that’s what I wanted to do too!”

As far as the 1983 World Cup final is concerned, the 60-over match was played at Lord’s, England, in which West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first.
The Indian team got all out in the 55th over at the score of 183 runs but the Indian bowlers gave a terrific performance and bowled out West Indies in 52 overs for 140 runs as a result of which India won the match by 43 runs. Mohinder Amarnath was adjudged as the Player of the Match as he scored 26 runs and also took 3 wickets.
India has won the ODI World Cup two times, first time in 1983 and second time in 2011 and since then, Indian cricket fans are waiting to see team India win it again.

Cricket is called a gentlemen’s game but sometimes we have seen that reputation of the game gets spoiled because of the stupid acts of few cricketers.
Recently one such incident took place in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) in which a cricketer made obscene gestures after he was mankaded. We are talking about the match which was played between Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings on 23rd June.
Super Gillies batter N Jagadeesan backed out too much which gave a chance to Nellai Royal Kings bowler Baba Aparajith to blow the bails and send the Super Gillies batter back to the dugout.
Here is how Baba Aparajith dismissed N Jagadeesan:
While walking back, N Jagadeesan made obscene gesture and it is being said that he repeated it three times more while going back to the dugout. However later on, he wrote an apology on his Instagram story. While he sought an apology from everyone for his irresponsible behavior, he also wrote that he was not able to understand himself how he had reacted in this manner.
He further wrote that passion is very important in sport but keeping it in control and channelizing in a proper manner is also important and he failed in doing that. He accepted that there can’t be any excuse for what he has done but he also promised that he would do better and be better.
This is what N Jagdeesan wrote in his story:
“My deepest apologies to all of you for my inexcusable behaviour at yesterday’s match. Cricket has always been what I live for – and the sportsmanship that comes along with the sport is something I deeply respect. This is why it is very hard for me to digest how I reacted. Passion is always key in any sport – but controlling it and channelizing it the right way is more important. And that is something I failed at doing when I let my temper get the better of me.
No excuses for what has been done.
I will do better and be better.

While this method of dismissal was controversial earlier as some call it against the spirit of the game and few believe that it’s correct as it is within the laws of the game but some time back, the Marylebone Cricket Club declared mankading as run out and a fair way of dismissal.
Let’s hope that such incidents don’t get repeated.

We have witnessed few weird incidents taking place in the game of cricket and a person feels more confused when the incident is within the laws of the game. The New Zealand cricketer Henry Nicholls got out in one of the weirdest fashions during the third test match which is being played against England at Headingley Carnegie.
In the 56th over of the New Zealand innings, Henry Nicholls played a shot on the bowling of Jack Leach, the ball went to hit the bat of the non-striker Daryl Mitchell despite the fact that Daryl tried his best to get out of the way of the ball. However as the ball got hit by bat, the ball got deflected towards the mid-off fielder who took an easy catch. The umpire declared Henry out as it was completely within the laws of the game.
The Marylebone Cricket Club also posted the video of the weird dismissal with the caption, “An unfortunate dismissal? Yes. But wholly within the Laws. Law 33.2.2.3 states it will be out if a fielder catches the ball after it has touched the wicket, an umpire, another fielder, a runner or the other batter.”
The England and Wales Cricket Board shared the video clip of the dismissal on its official Twitter handle with the caption, “What on Earth?”
The former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who is called a legend by his fans also reacted on this matter as he stated that in gully cricket, the non-striker would have been declared out.

As far as the match is concerned, New Zealand scored 329 runs in its first innings and in response England was 264/6 at the end of the second day. The top scorer for New Zealand is Daryl Mitchell who scored 109 runs and Jack Leach took a fifer for England.
The sublime form of Jonny Bairstow continues as he is batting not out at 130 runs for which he played only 121 balls and he is well supported by Jamie Overton who is playing at 89 runs (106 balls). England is currently trailing by 65 runs and as the hosts have already taken an invincible lead of 2-0, they we will certainly look forward to whitewash the series.

The comeback of 37 years old Dinesh Karthik in the Indian national team is no less than a magic as the selectors were completely focusing on the youngsters keeping in mind the T20 World Cup which is going to take place later this year in Australia. However, the wicketkeeper-batsman made it impossible for the selectors to overlook him as he played some great innings in the IPL 2022 for his team Royal Challengers Bangalore and it would not be wrong to say that he perfectly fitted in the role of a finisher.
Recently, the former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar who is a very famous commentator nowadays spilled the beans on how Dinesh Karthik prepared for his comeback. During an interview, Gavaskar stated that DK was nowhere in the scene for the T20 World Cup which was played in UAE but he is looking in a good position to get the ticket for Melbourne (Australia 2022). Gavaskar said that during the World Test Championship, they were having breakfast, lunch and dinner together and at that time, DK was talking about his aim to play in the T20 World Cup for the country.
DK is one of those very few cricketers who started their commentary stint even before taking retirement and the first time he did commentary was in the World Test Championships final 2019-21.
Sunil Gavaskar further talked about how Dinesh Karthik was preparing himself mentally for the comeback. The former Indian cricketer stated that DK told him he was creating situations in his mind and managing his practice as per those situations. Gavaskar called DK’s preparation as a thoughtful practice because he was training and practice keeping in the mind what situation may be when he is on the field.
Little Master adds that when a batsman bats at the 6th or 7th number, he won’t get 18 or 20 overs to bat, mostly he will get 5-7 overs or if wickets fall early, he may get 9 overs to play and DK was practicing to play in such situations. Sunil Gavaskar further said that as DK was doing special training, he got enrolled in a club because the gym at hotel was not good enough. Gavaskar was full of praises for DK and said that his dedication and eagerness to make a comeback in the Indian team were pretty much visible in the manner in which he was practicing and the way he is playing as of now makes everyone admire him. He has worked hard and now he has got the reward.
Dinesh Karthik was selected for the recently concluded 5-match T20I series which India played against South Africa and he justified his selection by playing a superb knock of 55 runs in just 27 deliveries. DK has also been selected for the Ireland tour and he is the designated wicketkeeper for this series as Rishabh Pant is in England for the test assignment.

It’s a great day today for the fans of “Hera Pheri” as the producer Firoz Nadiadwala has recently confirmed that work on the third part of the franchise is going on. Not just this, he also says that the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be playing their respective characters in the movie. He adds that they have the story in place but there are certain modalities on which they are working and the flick will be made in such a manner that the characters don’t lose their innocence.
Firoz Nadiadwala also states that they need to be extra cautious in terms of content, story, screenplay, mannerism, etc. because they just can’t take achievements of the past for granted. He also assures that they will make an announcement in this regard soon.
“Hera Pheri” is one of the most successful franchises of Bollywood, the first part of the series was released in 2000 and it was a huge hit. The second part hit the theatres in the year 2006 and it also performed pretty well on the box-office. While Tabu played the female lead in the first part, in the second part Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen added the flavor of glamour in the flick.
