“What Mistake Has He Committed?,” Fans Are Upset With MI For Not Playing Arjun Tendulkar

The five times IPL champion Mumbai Indians will certainly like to forget the IPL 2022 as a nightmare because Rohit Sharma led team is at the bottom of the points table with just 3 wins the 13 matches that it played. What could be more disheartening for fans than the fact that the team which was considered as the favorite to win the IPL 2022 before the start of the tournament couldn’t even enter the play-offs!

As MI is officially out of the race of the play-offs, it is quite obvious and sensible in their part to give chances to the youngsters and they did give chance to Mayank Markande and Sanjay Yadav in its last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad which it lost by 3 runs. Hitman has also stated that now they are looking at the future because of which they are giving chance to the young players of their side and he also gives a hint that changes will be made in their last league match as well which MI will play against Delhi Capitals.

However, cricket fans are a little aghast and surprised as to why MI is not giving a chance to Arjun Tendulkar who is with the Mumbai franchise for almost 2 seasons now and was purchased for Rs. 30 lakhs in the mega-auction of the IPL 2022. Arjun Tendulkar is an all-rounder who has performed well for Mumbai at the domestic level plus we can’t overlook the fact that he is son of the legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who is the mentor of MI.

Twitter users are not able to understand as to what mistake has been committed by Arjun Tendulkar because of which everyone else is getting a chance to play excluding him and there were some who advised him to change his career choice if he is not yet ready to play a match in the IPL.

Many fans were of the opinion that Arjun Tendulkar would play in the MI vs SRH encounter but that didn’t happen and now it is being stated by some netizens that he will get a chance to play against DC in the final league match of MI as he will replace Jasprit Bumrah, though nothing can be said with confirmation.

However, this question is quite valid on the part of cricket fans as to why MI picked Arjun Tendulkar if they didn’t want him to play in the IPL2022? Was he bought only as a net bowler?

MS Dhoni Reacts To Fan’s Emotional Letter For Chennai Team Which Is Now Framed By CSK

Chennai Super Kings, the four times IPL champion, had a very poor run in the IPL 2022 as it is sitting at the 9th spot with just 4 wins in the 13 matches played by it and it is officially out of the race of play-offs. CSK started the league under a new skipper as Ravindra Jadeja became the third cricketer to lead the Chennai team after MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, who used to lead the team in Dhoni’s absence, but after a dismal run in the tournament, Jadeja gave up the captaincy and Mahi was once again appointed as the skipper of the team.

In fact, rumours are doing rounds that there is a rift between Ravindra Jadeja and the CSK management and he may not be a part of the franchise next year.

There is no doubt that CSK fans never expected such poor show from their favourite team which started the tournament as the defending champions. Though sometimes CSK gets criticized by their fans yet it has a loyal fan base and fans stuck to their team whatever the situation may be.

The Chennai franchise still enjoys the loyalty of its fans and one such fan wrote an emotional letter to Thala (MSD). Amazingly, the skipper also responded to it as he signed and wrote, “Well Written, Best Wishes”.

CSK’s last league match will be against Rajasthan Royals on 20th May and the former will certainly like to win it in order to leave the tournament with a victory.

“Steyn Will Stand Behind Me For 3 Hrs & Guide Me,” Umran Malik Owes His Success To Dale Steyn

The Sunrisers Hyderabad is having a tough time in the IPL2022 as they are sitting at the 8th position in the points table with just 6 wins in their 13 matches and their chances of entering the play-offs are almost negligible now.

However, SRH pacer Umran Malik has been making headlines for his bowling with lightning speed, the pacer from Jammu & Kashmir has bowled around 150km/h in the tournament and his fastest delivery was 157 km/h which is also the fastest of the IPL2022. As far as statistics is concerned, Umran Malik has taken 21 wickets in the 13 games that he has played and it also includes a fifer and many cricket fans are of the opinion that he should be inducted in the national team as soon as possible.

Yesterday also in the match against Mumbai Indians which was played at Wankhede Stadium, Umran Malik bowled superbly as he took 3 wickets in his 3 overs and gave away 23 runs. After the match, Umran Malik had a chat with one of his teammate, senior bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the pacer gave credit to SRH bowling coach Dale Steyn for his success in the tournament.

Umran Malik said that Dale Steyn stands behind him in the nets while bowling and guides him even if he practices in net for three hours. The speedster stated that the pace comes to him in a natural manner and people didn’t want to bat against him even he used to bowl with tennis ball because he was very quick.

The 22-yr old also talked about the chainsaw celebration, he said that Dale Steyn used to do it whenever he (Malik) took wickets during the net sessions and one day when SRH pacer did it he got stuck with him.

As far as the match between SRH and MI is concerned, the five times champion won the toss and decided to bowl first. The SRH batters put up a good show, especially, Rahul Tripathi who scored 76 runs (44 balls, 9 fours & 3 sixes) and useful contributions were made by Priyam Garg (42 runs, 26 balls, 4 fours & 2 sixes) and Nicholas Pooran (38 runs, 22 balls, 2 fours & 3 sixes) which helped the 2016 champions in putting up 193/6 on the score board.

MI got a good start as skipper Rohit Sharma (48 runs, 36 balls, 2 fours & 4 sixes) and Ishan Kishan (43 runs, 34 balls, 5 fours & 1 six) produced a partnership of 95 runs for first wicket. But they lost the momentum after they both got out as wickets fell in regular intervals until Tim David turned the tables upside down by playing a fiery knock of 46 runs (18 balls, 3 fours & 4 sixes), however unfortunately for MI he got run out and MI needed 19 runs in the last over. SRH bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled the last over of the MI innings, thought Ramandeep Singh managed to hit a four and six in this over but still MI fell short by 3 runs and eventually SRH won the match.

If SRH has to enter the play-offs then it has to win their last league match which is against Punjab Kings with a big margin and also had to hope that the results of the matches of other franchises also go their way.

Bengaluru Authorities Slap Fine Of Rs 500 For Spitting On Road, Challan Pic Goes Viral

There is no denying the fact that majority of the Indians need to learn basic civic sense because a number of people don’t follow the traffic rules, park their vehicles in no-parking zones or outside anybody’s house, throw garbage on road, pee in public places, spit on the roads and so on.

Though people praise the foreign governments for maintaining cleanliness in their cities, they never think of following their own duties and fulfilling responsibilities as a citizen. Spitting on the road especially while chewing tobacco is a pretty common scene in many cities of the country despite the fact that each one of us knows it is unhygienic and it also makes the place dirty. In the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, spitting was made a legal offence as it increases chances of spreading infection but still majority of such persons who spit haven’t learned the lesson and this calls for a strict punishment.

Recently, a person from Bengaluru was fined Rs. 500 by the authorities for spitting in public place and the copy of the challan was published by an online user on Reddit.

Undoubtedly, a correct example has been set by the Bengaluru authorities and it is high time that it should be followed in other Indian cities as well. What’s more, such punishment should also be given to those who pee in public places as it not only creates nuisance but also makes people uncomfortable.

“It Was Kohli’s Chance To Win IPL As Captain,” Shane Watson Opens Up On IPL2016 Final

Virat Kohli, the former skipper of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore, has been going through a lean patch for more than 2 years and even after leaving the captaincy, he is not able to regain his form. Everyone thought that giving up captaincy will reduce the burden on Virat’s shoulders and he will be able to focus more on his game and score big for his team but this didn’t happen. In the IPL 2022, Virat Kohli got out for golden duck three times and has scored one half-century (58) for which he played 53 deliveries and ended up making things difficult for other RCB batters.

There is no denying the fact that Virat Kohli is one of the greatest of all times and he will always be remembered for his superb performances in the tournament but he will also be remembered as a captain who could make his team win the IPL even once. Virat has been associated with RCB since the inaugural edition of 2008 and from 2013 till 2021, he led the team as a skipper. Though he played many superb innings in the league, the IPL 2016 was the best season for the former skipper as he made the record of scoring most runs in an IPL season.

In the IPL 2016, Virat Kohli made 973 runs and RCB played very well in the tournament but wasn’t able to win the finals which was played against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the finals, SRH scored 208 runs and though RCB was the favorites to win the finals, it fell short by 8 runs and lost the best chance to win the IPL trophy.

The former Aussie cricketer Shane Watson was also part of RCB in 2016 and he bowled the last over of the innings in which he gave away 24 runs. He had a pretty bad day as he gave away 61 runs in his four overs and didn’t even get a single wicket.

Recently Shane Watson spoke on Delhi Capitals Podcast and opened up about the IPL 2016 finals. He said that playing the IPL 2016 finals shattered him because it was played at RCB’s home ground Chinnaswamy. RCB was going on very well and Virat Kohli was literally on fire. Shane Watson further added that it was Virat’s chance to win the IPL as a captain but his (Watson’s) one over made things difficult for the team and he not only felt shattered but also felt as it is end of time.

While 2016 was a poor season for Shane Watson, he got the chance of redemption in 2018 when he played for another franchise Chennai Super Kings. In that season, he scored 555 runs including two hundreds and one of them came in the finals against the Orange Army. Shane Watson got a very slow start as he was not able to open his account in the first 11 balls but after that, he scored a century (117 not out) and helped his team in chasing down 180 runs comfortably. He added that he was thinking he was ruining it for his team and as the time passed, the voices were getting louder. Watson went on to say that Faf came under pressure because of his slow start and played a risky shot which he shouldn’t have but that was one of those few days which a player dreams of and he was determined to direct all his energy in the game.

Shane Watson stated that he was 37 yrs old at that time and having a season like that and playing such a knock in the finals was just like a dream coming true.

As far as this season is concerned, RCB started well in the IPL 2022 but lost momentum midway through the tournament and as of now, it is on the fifth spot with 7 wins in 13 matches played by it.

Proud Dad Shah Rukh Khan Pens Heartfelt Note As Daughter Suhana Makes Debut With “The Archies”

Shah Rukh Khan is certainly one of the most popular stars of not just India but the world but he is also a doting father who is currently on cloud nine after seeing that his daughter Suhana Khan has finally walked on his path and chosen acting as her profession.

There were talks of Suhana Khan’s Bollywood debut being on the cards and recently the trailer of Zoya Akhtar directed “The Archies” was released. Suhana is making her debut with this movie along with other star kids – Agastya Nanda (grandson of Amitabh Bachchan) and Khushi Kapoor (daughter of Boney Kapoor).

The announcement regarding the film was made by Netflix India on May 14 and the flick also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina.

Soon, Suhana Khan also posted the trailer on her official Instagram account and best wishes started pouring in from fans and friends.

This was great news for Suhana’s father Shah Rukh Khan and he celebrated the moment by posting an emotional message for his daughter along with some valuable words of wisdom.

“Historic Moment,” Cricket Fraternity Congratulates Indian Badminton Team On Thomas Cup Win

The Indian badminton fans are very excited as the Indian badminton team scripted history by winning the Thomas and Uber Cup for the first time in the last 73 years since its inception. The Indian team made all of us proud by defeating the 14 times champions Indonesia in the finals which was played yesterday at Bangkok, Thailand.

This was the first time that India reached the finals of the Thomas and Uber Cup and after winning the prestigious tournament, it has now become the sixth nation to win it. The five countries which have earlier won this tournament are China, Indonesia, Japan, Denmark and Malaysia.

Though Lakshya Sen lost the first set against Indonesia’s Anthony Ginting by 8-21, he made a big comeback and defeated his opponent in the next two sets by 21-17 and 21-16 and gave India lead of 1-0. Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy also played pretty confidently against Kevin Sanjaya and Mohammad Ahsan, the number 1 and number 2 doubles players of the world, respectively. Kidambi Srikanth also played beautifully and used all his experience to deal with Jonathan Christie whom he defeated by 21-15 and 23-21 in the second singles match which was also their final match.

Interestingly, Kidambi Srikanth and Jonathan Christie had faced each other twice earlier this year and both the times, the latter emerged victorious over the former but this time Kidambi Srikanth defeated  the world number 8 Jonathan Christie and gave a chance to his countrymen to celebrate the historic moment.

Soon the micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with reactions and everyone including the politicians, Bollywood celebs, people from the cricket fraternity, etc. congratulated the Indian badminton team on this big achievement.
