“Batters Think I’m Slower,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar Has A Funny Reply To Query On Umran Malik

The young pacer Umran Malik who is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad has been making headlines because of his superb bowling in the IPL 2022 and yesterday in the match against Punjab Kings, he was at his best as he took 4 wickets in his spell of 4 overs and gave away only 28 runs. Umran Malik has been bowling at a great speed as he has crossed the mark of 150 kmph on few occasions and he will certainly remember yesterday’s match for a long time as he took 3 wickets in the last over of the innings.

SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first in the match which was played at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai and because of the brilliant bowling of SRH bowlers, the Punjab team could manage only 151 runs in its 20 overs. While the Player of the Match Umran Malik took 4 wickets, the experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar also took 3 wickets and conceded only 22 runs. SRH achieved the target with 7 wickets in hand and 7 balls remaining in its innings. Aiden Markram was the highest scorer with 41 runs not out (27 balls, 4 fours &   1 six) and he was well supported by Rahul Tripathi (34 runs, 22 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and Nicholas Pooran (35 runs not out, 30 balls, 1 four & 1 six).

After the match, in an interaction, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was asked whether Umran Malik has been of help to him as a bowler. In response, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave quite an interesting reply as he said leave aside helping him, because of Umran Malik’s lethal pace he (Bhuvi) is targeted more by the batters because they think he is slower.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar achieved the milestone of becoming the first Indian pacer in the history of the IPL to take 150 wickets in yesterday’s match and he has been playing at the international level for the last 9 years. He is one of those few pacers who have the ability to move the ball both the sides and he has troubled the batters not just with his accuracy but also with his swing. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was astounding against PBKS and in response to a question, he stated that as there was no swing he depended on hitting back of a length and it turned out to be fruitful in case of Shikhar Dhawan who gave a top edge on Bhuvi’s bowling.

Bhuvi further adds that he relies on his skills, pitch, ground dimensions and the weakness of the batter in order to take wickets. Talking about the young pacer Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar says that it is always fun to see him bowling and take wickets.

After losing its first two matches, SRH has made a great comeback as it has won four matches in a row and if it keeps on playing like this, nobody can stop it from winning the IPL second time. What do you say?

Brad Hogg Recalls How Pravin Tambe Cried During His Emotional Speech After IPL2013 Match-Fixing

There are many cricketers who try their best to play for the country but very few are able to make it to the highest level. However, there are also some who do not stop trying even when nothing is in their favor.

Pravin Tambe is one such person who didn’t let his passion die and kept on trying to make his dream come true of playing cricket at the highest level. He is an inspiration for many because when he made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals, he was 41 yrs old and had no experience of playing first class cricket.

In 2013, the whole cricket world got shocked after three players of Rajasthan Royals were arrested by police in regard to spot-fixing during the IPL 2013 and it was really a tough time for the team. Recently, the former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg who was a part of the RR team at that time opened up about that incident and recalled how Pravin Tambe inspired everyone with his powerful speech.

Brad Hogg also talked about the movie “Kaun Pravin Tambe?” and he called Tambe great in terms of will power as he never gave up his dreams. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Brad Hogg said that they were in Mumbai when the unfortunate incident took place and after playing against Mumbai, they had to travel to Hyderabad next morning. He added that as they reached Hyderabad, there were mediapersons everywhere but the players wanted to just get out of the bus and go to their rooms in the hotel.

As per Brad Hogg, the RR coach called everyone and they sat around the pool discussing what was going in their minds. When it was the turn of Pravin Tambe to speak his heart out, he was literally in tears as the chance of playing at the highest level on television was spoiled because of those three players. Brad Hogg said that Pravin Tambe gave a small but an emotional speech and while concluding, he said that they all needed to get going and play for Rajasthan Royals.

In his short IPL career, Pravin Tambe played 33 matches for Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad and he took 28 wickets at an economy rate of 7.75.

Have you watched the movie “Kaun Pravin Tambe?”

“I Take Full Responsibility But It’s Not The End Of The World,” Says Rohit Sharma On MI’s Losses

The five times champion Mumbai Indians is going through a very tough phase in the IPL 2022 as it has lost first six consecutive matches in the tournament and it is the only team in the league which is yet to win a match.

MI’s last match was played yesterday against the new IPL team Lucknow Super Giants which was won by the latter by 18 runs. During the media interaction which took place after the match, the MI skipper Rohit Sharma took responsibility of the team’s poor performance in the tournament and said that he failed to live up to the expectations of the squad and fans.

Talking about the match against LSG, Rohit Sharma says that it is difficult to talk about only one particular situation as when a team has to chase a big total, it needs partnerships which they have failed to do. He adds that MI has lost six games in a row and they are trying to find out the combination which suits them the most.

Hitman says that when a team loses, it is quite easy to say that they are making changes but we always try to play the game with our best playing XI. Rohit Sharma goes on to say that he will like to go out on the field, play and enjoy the game, something which he has been doing for so many years and they may be in a tough situation but the world has not come to an end and they will try to make a comeback like they have done earlier too.

As far as the match between MI and LSG is concerned, it was played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, and after winning the toss, MI decided to bowl first. KL Rahul, the skipper of LSG, batted exceptionally well and remained not out at the score of 103 for which he played 60 deliveries and his innings included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Useful contributions were made by Quinton de Kock (24 runs, 13 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and Manish Pandey (38, 29 balls, 6 fours) too and LSG managed to put up a good total of 199/4 on the score board in its 20 overs.

MI had a bad start as its openers Ishan Kishan (13 runs, 17 balls, 2 fours) and Rohit Sharma (6 runs, 7 balls, 1 four) once again failed in playing big innings and the pressure mounted on the other batters. Though Dewald Brevis (31 runs, 13 balls, 6 fours & 1 six), Suryakumar Yadav (37 runs, 27 balls, 3 fours), Tilak Varma (26 runs, 26 balls, 2 fours) and Kieron Pollard (25 runs, 14 balls, 1 four & 2 sixes) tried their best to chase the target of 200, MI still fell short by 18 runs as it could manage only 181/9 in its 20 overs.

Will MI be able to make a comeback in this season? Do let us know your views.
