Brad Hogg Recalls How Pravin Tambe Cried During His Emotional Speech After IPL2013 Match-Fixing

There are many cricketers who try their best to play for the country but very few are able to make it to the highest level. However, there are also some who do not stop trying even when nothing is in their favor.

Pravin Tambe is one such person who didn’t let his passion die and kept on trying to make his dream come true of playing cricket at the highest level. He is an inspiration for many because when he made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals, he was 41 yrs old and had no experience of playing first class cricket.

In 2013, the whole cricket world got shocked after three players of Rajasthan Royals were arrested by police in regard to spot-fixing during the IPL 2013 and it was really a tough time for the team. Recently, the former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg who was a part of the RR team at that time opened up about that incident and recalled how Pravin Tambe inspired everyone with his powerful speech.

Brad Hogg also talked about the movie “Kaun Pravin Tambe?” and he called Tambe great in terms of will power as he never gave up his dreams. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Brad Hogg said that they were in Mumbai when the unfortunate incident took place and after playing against Mumbai, they had to travel to Hyderabad next morning. He added that as they reached Hyderabad, there were mediapersons everywhere but the players wanted to just get out of the bus and go to their rooms in the hotel.

As per Brad Hogg, the RR coach called everyone and they sat around the pool discussing what was going in their minds. When it was the turn of Pravin Tambe to speak his heart out, he was literally in tears as the chance of playing at the highest level on television was spoiled because of those three players. Brad Hogg said that Pravin Tambe gave a small but an emotional speech and while concluding, he said that they all needed to get going and play for Rajasthan Royals.

In his short IPL career, Pravin Tambe played 33 matches for Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad and he took 28 wickets at an economy rate of 7.75.

Have you watched the movie “Kaun Pravin Tambe?”

“I Take Full Responsibility But It’s Not The End Of The World,” Says Rohit Sharma On MI’s Losses

The five times champion Mumbai Indians is going through a very tough phase in the IPL 2022 as it has lost first six consecutive matches in the tournament and it is the only team in the league which is yet to win a match.

MI’s last match was played yesterday against the new IPL team Lucknow Super Giants which was won by the latter by 18 runs. During the media interaction which took place after the match, the MI skipper Rohit Sharma took responsibility of the team’s poor performance in the tournament and said that he failed to live up to the expectations of the squad and fans.

Talking about the match against LSG, Rohit Sharma says that it is difficult to talk about only one particular situation as when a team has to chase a big total, it needs partnerships which they have failed to do. He adds that MI has lost six games in a row and they are trying to find out the combination which suits them the most.

Hitman says that when a team loses, it is quite easy to say that they are making changes but we always try to play the game with our best playing XI. Rohit Sharma goes on to say that he will like to go out on the field, play and enjoy the game, something which he has been doing for so many years and they may be in a tough situation but the world has not come to an end and they will try to make a comeback like they have done earlier too.

As far as the match between MI and LSG is concerned, it was played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, and after winning the toss, MI decided to bowl first. KL Rahul, the skipper of LSG, batted exceptionally well and remained not out at the score of 103 for which he played 60 deliveries and his innings included 9 fours and 5 sixes. Useful contributions were made by Quinton de Kock (24 runs, 13 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and Manish Pandey (38, 29 balls, 6 fours) too and LSG managed to put up a good total of 199/4 on the score board in its 20 overs.

MI had a bad start as its openers Ishan Kishan (13 runs, 17 balls, 2 fours) and Rohit Sharma (6 runs, 7 balls, 1 four) once again failed in playing big innings and the pressure mounted on the other batters. Though Dewald Brevis (31 runs, 13 balls, 6 fours & 1 six), Suryakumar Yadav (37 runs, 27 balls, 3 fours), Tilak Varma (26 runs, 26 balls, 2 fours) and Kieron Pollard (25 runs, 14 balls, 1 four & 2 sixes) tried their best to chase the target of 200, MI still fell short by 18 runs as it could manage only 181/9 in its 20 overs.

Will MI be able to make a comeback in this season? Do let us know your views.

Tom Moody Explains Reason Behind Dale Steyn’s Celebration After Umran Malik’s Unplayable Yorker

The Indian Premier League is certainly one of the biggest sporting events of the world in which big players from India and other cricketing nations take part and it has turned out to be a great platform for the Indian youngsters. Many young talented Indian cricketers have been discovered through the IPL and they have managed to get a place in the national squad such as Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, etc.

In the IPL 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a miserable outing and when there was no chance of the team making it to the play-offs, it gave chance to the young talent of its squad and it was then the pacer Umran Malik got noticed by everyone. SRH didn’t make the mistake of letting him go and retained him before the mega-auction of the IPL 2022. Umran Malik is capable of generating a lot of pace as in the IPL 2022, he is bowling at the speed of around 150 kmph and in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, he made everyone from his teammates and support staff to the spectators dance with joy as he dismissed KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer with his unplayable Yorker.

What made every cricket fan happier was the manner in which the former South African pacer Dale Steyn celebrated the moment with excitement and joy. Dale Steyn is the fast bowling coach of SRH and recently, the head coach of SRH Tom Moody explained why Dale Steyn jumped up with joy as Umran Malik sent the KKR skipper back to dug-out.

Tom Moody said that a lot of planning is done for every opponent and the emotions shown in the dug-out were for the fact that their young bowler took a very important wicket for them. As per Tom Moody, there is no doubt that Umran Malik has been embraced by the team and the franchise both, everyone loves to see him bowling and he has done really well against the Kolkata team. He further says that Umran Malik has stuck to the plan and they are happy with the fact that they have been successful in making him understand what his role in the team is.

Tom Moody also feels that Umran Malik is very lucky that he is getting a chance to get trained by Dale Steyn as he can learn a lot from the former South African pacer. He further adds that the franchise understands if Umran Malik bowls at such a high pace, it is quite obvious that he will go for runs but he should keep scaring the batsmen with his pace.

Moody states that it is quite obvious he will go for runs if he bowls at the speed of around 150kmph but he is conceding majority of the runs from behind the wicket, it’s not that he is getting thrashed by the batsmen. The former Aussie cricketer goes on to say that they don’t mind Umran Malik going for runs but they want wickets in return.

As far as the match is concerned, the Hyderabad franchise won the toss and asked KKR to bat first. Batting first, KKR put up a score of 175/8 on the board with the help of Nitish Rana’s knock of 54 runs (36 balls, 6 fours & 2 sixes) and Andre Russell’s 49 not out (25 balls, 4 fours & 4 sixes).

In reply, SRH achieved the target in 17.5 overs with 7 wickets in hand with the help of brilliant knocks of Rahul Tripathi (71 runs, 37 balls, 4 fours & 6 sixes) and Aiden Markram (68 not out, 36 balls, 6 fours & 4 sixes). While Rahul Tripathi was adjudged as the player of the match, Umran Malik was also excellent with ball (2/27 in 4 overs).

Umran Malik will certainly make it to the national team, what do you say?

“He’s Not Worth Blowing Whole Salary On,” Watson Says MI Is At Bottom Coz It Paid 15 Cr For Kishan

The five times IPL winner Mumbai Indians is going through a rough patch in the IPL 2022 as it has lost five successive matches in the tournament and is at the bottom in the points table. It is really difficult to believe that Rohit Sharma led squad which has won IPL 5 times is performing so poorly in the tournament and recently former Australian cricketer Shane Watson talked about the reason behind MI’s dismal performance in this season.

Shane Watson feels that MI has made a mistake by spending a huge amount of Rs. 15.25 crore on Ishan Kishan as it has made them compromise on the overall composition and quality of the team. During an interview, the former Aussie cricketer who is currently serving as the assistant coach of Delhi Capitals states that he isn’t really surprised with the poor performance of MI.

He adds that though Ishan Kishan is a very talented player, he is not so worthy that you spend your whole salary on him. He further says that MI also spent Rs. 8 crore on Jofra Archer without even knowing when he would return on the cricket field and he hasn’t played for quite a long time as well. Watson feels that this has affected the quality of the team to a great extent and has left them with few holes.

MI retained Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard ahead of the mega-auctions for the IPL 2022 and went all guns blazing for Ishan Kishan in the auctions. The Mumbai team will need to perform exceptionally well from here onwards if it wants to enter the play-offs.

Shane Watson also analyzed MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings which is the second most successful team with four IPL wins but it is also having a tough time in the tournament as it has lost four out of 5 matches it has played. Watson says that the biggest problem that is being faced by CSK is its fast bowling, he adds that earlier they had Shardul Thakur who is with DC now. Watson further says that CSK has spent a lot on Deepak Chahar who is said to be ruled out of the tournament due to injury and it does not have quality foreign pacers because of which it is facing problem in the IPL 2022.

CSK is also playing with a new skipper Ravindra Jadeja as MS Dhoni has given up his captaincy just before the start of the tournament. It may have shown some improvement in its last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore which CSK won but it also needs to work hard if it does not want to miss playing the play-offs.

Do you agree with Shane Watson that MI has made a big mistake by spending so much on Ishan Kishan? What are your views in regard to CSK and MI’s performance this year? Let us know.
