Tamil Actor Vijay Sethupathi Secretly Helped 1 Lakh People Get Jobs, Revealed An Activist

The Indian film industry is full of people who are engaged in philanthropic activities but for most of them, it is a part of enhancing their image among common public and fans while there are very few who choose to remain silent about the good work they do.

Vijay Sethupathi, the famous Tamil actor and producer, is one such celeb who is helping many people but without telling anyone or talking about it. Vijay Sethupathi whom his fans also call “Makkal Selvan” (people’s treasure) has played an important role in getting more than 1 lakh people employed.

This revelation about the actor was made by Pondicherry-based activist Veerarahavan who runs an NGO which is involved in the work of providing employment services and guidance to the educated youngsters and doesn’t even charge a penny from them. This NGO has helped many companies from Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu in recruiting talented and skilled employees which has further resulted in growth in their business.

Veerarahavan was employed in a government run school as a teacher and it was in 2016 that he started helping people find jobs. Though he was doing it on a part-time basis still by 2019, he had helped 3000 people in getting jobs. Vijay Sethupathi took a note of it and invited Veerarahavan on his show, ‘Namma Ooru Hero’ (Our Village’s Hero).

Veerarahavan reveals that after the show got over, Sethupathi told him that if he decides to help people in securing jobs on a full-time basis, the actor will do everything possible to support him. The show was aired in March 2019 and it got a wonderful response both from the aspiring youngsters as well as companies. Veerarahavan resigned from his job and started providing employment services on a full time basis, Vijay Sethupathi not only helped him in setting up an office in Pondicherry but he also paid salaries to Veerarahavan and his staff members every month on time.

Veerarahavan stated that by 20 March 2022, they helped 1,00,133 educated and aspiring youngsters in getting placed in companies.

This is certainly a big number which apparently proves why Vijay Sethupathi is People’s Treasure.

Suresh Raina Reacts To Dhoni Handing Over CSK’s Captaincy To Ravindra Jadeja, See His Tweet

Chennai Super Kings is going through a big change as in the IPL 2022, it will be led by the Indian all-rounder Ravinder Jadeja and not by MS Dhoni, the skipper under whom the franchise won the IPL title 4 times. MS Dhoni has been associated with CSK since the inaugural edition of 2008 as the skipper and Ravindra Jadeja will be the third cricketer to lead CSK and the second to lead the team as a full-time skipper.

Earlier Suresh Raina who served CSK as the vice-captain for more than a decade captained the side in Dhoni’s absence but he was a stand-in captain only. Interestingly, Suresh Raina went unsold in the mega-auction for the IPL 2022 and what surprised everyone was the fact that CSK didn’t even bid for its highest run-getter who is also the fourth highest run-getter of the league.

As the news of Ravindra Jadeja being appointed as the new skipper of CSK went viral, many fans and people from the cricket fraternity including Suresh Raina reacted on it. Earlier the CEO of the franchise, Kasi Viswanathan spoke in an interview that MS Dhoni was thinking of handing over the captaincy to Jadeja and he felt that it is the right time to do so as the Indian all-rounder is in a great form. Kasi Viswanathan stated that Dhoni always thinks the best for the team and even while taking this decision, he must be thinking about what is good for the squad.

CSK has played 9 finals under the captaincy of Mahi and has won 4 out of them which makes MS Dhoni the second most successful skipper of the IPL after Rohit Sharma who has led Mumbai Indians to 5 IPL wins.

This is going to be tough for some CSK fans as this year, they won’t see Suresh Raina in yellow jersey and Dhoni will play as a wicketkeeper-batsman only.

MS Dhoni Hands Over CSK’s Captaincy To Ravindra Jadeja, Cricket Fraternity & Fans React

An era has come to an end today as MS Dhoni, the second most successful skipper of the IPL, has given up the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings and Ravindra Jadeja has been appointed as the new skipper of the team. The IPL 2022 is going to start in a couple of days and it will be the first time since 2008 that the Chennai franchise will start the tournament without Dhoni’s captaincy.

Ravindra Jadeja will become the third cricketer to lead CSK as till now, the Chennai team has played only under Dhoni or Suresh Raina’s captaincy. Raina was Mahi’s deputy for more than a decade and he led the team whenever the latter was not able to play.

Dhoni has led CSK since the inaugural edition of the tournament which was played in 2008 and in the last 12 years, the Chennai team has played 204 matches under his leadership, out of which they won 121 and lost 82, reached finals 9 times and won 4 times. However, the record would have been better if CSK had not been banned from the league for 2 years, i.e., in 2016-17.

It is definitely an emotional moment for the Yellow Army fans because for majority of them, CSK is all about Dhoni and though everyone knew that Mahi won’t be staying there for long, it was still a rude shock for many. LPG Cylinder Price Hiked By Rs 50, Petrol-Diesel By 80 Paise, Twitter Reacts With Memes

Inflation is definitely a matter of concern for common public as it becomes difficult for them to manage their household if the prices of necessary products keep on rising. Recently, there was an increase in the prices of LPG cooking gas, petrol and diesel which has become the talk of the town on social media.

The prices of LPG increased by Rs. 50 per cylinder while the rate of petrol and diesel increased by 80 paise per litre. However, their prices are different in each state because of the different rates of local taxes imposed in each state. As per the reports, the price of a non-subsidized LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) will cost Rs. 949.50 in Delhi and Mumbai but in Kolkata and Chennai, the consumers will need to spend Rs. 976 and Rs. 965.50, respectively.

The Delhites will have to pay Rs. 96.21 per litre for petrol and Rs. 86.67 per litre for diesel now. This hike in the prices will certainly affect the monthly budget of common public as the increasing prices of petrol and diesel will further increase the price of transportation and it will directly affect the prices of groceries and other fmcg products.

“Forget The Money, That’s Come & Gone,” Ravi Shastri Has A Golden Advice For IPL Cricketers

The IPL 2022 will be starting in a couple of days and what makes this season more interesting and exciting is the fact that there will be 10 teams which will contest for the trophy rather than 8 like earlier seasons. The pressure to perform will certainly be there on the players,  especially on those who have been bought for a huge amount by their franchises.

Ravi Shastri, the former Indian cricketer, is also a part of the commentary panel of the IPL 2022 and recently while addressing a press conference, the 59 years old former head coach of team India stated that it is important for the players to forget about the money factor because it comes and goes. He adds that it is easier to say than to do but the cricketers have to go to the basic and start from the scratch and if the players start thinking of how much they have made, this is going to build extra pressure on them.

Ravi Shastri is also of the opinion that the IPL 2022 will offer a great opportunity to the national selectors to find a fresh face for the post of the Indian captain as many young Indian cricketers will be leading their IPL teams. As per him, Rohit Sharma will be there for a couple of years and India will need a new solid skipper in the near future in the white ball format. He goes on to say that the national selectors will get a good chance in the league to see how the youngsters lead their respective teams which will help them in making their pick.

While we have already seen Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals), Shreyas Iyer (he led DC before Rishabh Pant) and KL Rahul (earlier Punjab Kings, now he will lead the new team Lucknow Super Giants) in the role of captains, it will be interesting to see how Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans) and Mayank Agarwal (Punjab Kings) will lead their respective teams in the tournament.

Rani Mukerji, the veteran Bollywood actress, is known for her superb acting skills, gorgeous looks and beautiful smile.
