The last two days can be called traumatic for the cricket world and the cricket lovers as well because in the last couple of days, we lost former Aussie cricketer Rod Marsh and one of the greatest spinners of all times, former Australian cricketer Shane Warne.
Shane Warne was 52 years old and as per the reports, he was in Thailand and was watching the first test match between Pakistan and Australia on television in his villa in Koh Samui where he suffered a heart attack. He was counted as one of the greatest cricketers of all times who represented his country at the international level from 1992 till 2007 and gave many match winning performances.
Shane Warne was loved a lot by the Indians as well for his superb cricketing skills and also because of the fact that he had a strong Indian connection which is related with the Indian Premier League. IPL started in the year 2008 and the first winner of the tournament was Shane Warne-led Rajasthan Royals.
RR took to Twitter to post an emotional message on the sudden departure of its first Royal, the leader who walked the walk, talked the talk and played an important role in turning underdogs into champions.
Later on, RR posted a tweet after the Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja scored a century in the first test match of the 2-match test series against Sri Lanka which is being played at Mohali. RR tweeted, “100* off 160. Rockstar Jadeja. You’ve made him proud” with a heart emoji.
100* off 160. Rockstar Jadeja. You’ve made him proud.
Well, not many people know but it was Shane Warne who nicknamed Jadeja as Rockstar when he played for Rajasthan Royals in the initial days.
After Ravindra Jadeja scored a century, Twitterati started reacting as many of them felt that he paid tribute to the legendry cricketer with this century.
Here are some of the selected reactions:

As far as the match is concerned, India has declared its innings at 574/8 with Ravindra Jadeja remaining not out at 175 (228 balls, 17 fours & 3 sixes). He got good support from Ravichandran Ashwin who scored 61 runs (82 balls, 8 fours) and how we can forget to mention about Rishabh Pant’s super knock who missed his century by 4 runs; he scored 96 runs in just 97 balls and his innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Till the time this article was written, Sri Lanka scored 79/2 and was trailing by 495 runs.
The whole cricket world and the cricket fans are in a state of shock after they came to know that their favourite cricketer Shane Warne departed from the world at the age of 52 due to suspected heart attack. The Australian leg spinner would always be considered as one of the greatest bowlers of all times who played international cricket from 1992 till 2007.
Shane Warne played 145 test matches and 194 ODIs for his country in which he took 708 and 293 wickets, respectively. He gave many match winning performances for his Australian team and apart from this, he led the IPL team Rajasthan Royals and played an important role in their IPL 2008 title win.
As per the reports, Shane Warne was watching the first test match between Australia and Pakistan, which is being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, in his villa in Thailand’s Koh Samui where he was found unresponsive. This sad incident took place just a day after the departure of former Australian cricketer Rod Marsh and in the last tweet that Shane Warne made, he paid tribute to Rod Marsh.
Warnie wrote, “Sad to hear the news that Rod Marsh has passed. He was a legend of our great game & an inspiration to so many young boys & girls. Rod cared deeply about cricket & gave so much-especially to Australia & England players. Sending lots & lots of love to Ros & the family. RIP mate”.

The cricketers from all over the world paid heartfelt tribute to Shane Warne:
Sachin Tendulkar
Shocked, stunned & miserable…
Will miss you Warnie. There was never a dull moment with you around, on or off the field. Will always treasure our on field duels & off field banter. You always had a special place for India & Indians had a special place for you.
Life is so fickle and unpredictable. I cannot process the passing of this great of our sport and also a person I got to know off the field. RIP #goat. Greatest to turn the cricket ball. pic.twitter.com/YtOkiBM53q
I am in agony. Grief. And have no words. I was lucky enough to know him well. The magic will stay forever. #ShaneWarne#GreatestOfHisKind. In disbelief.
I am shocked and extremely sad to hear about the sudden death of my friend Warnie… he has always been in touch and always helpful.. apart from an iconic bowler he was a great entertainer… my condolences to the family and friends .. rest in peace my friend .
Find it hard to believe. Such a devastating loss for the cricket world. He literally inspired generations with his magical leg spin. You'll forever be missed #ShaneWarne. My heart and prayers goes to his family, friends, and fans. #legendpic.twitter.com/pigrD785gC
Shane Warne is quite popular among Indians as well because Indians are passionate about cricket and they adore great cricketers irrespective of their nationality. Indians started loving Shane Warne more when he led Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2008 and RR won the trophy despite the fact that there were other teams which had star-studded line-up and RR comprised of young and inexperienced but talented players.
RR also made an emotional tweet after Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja scored a century in the first test match between India and Sri Lanka which is being played at Mohali. RR wrote, “100* off 160. Rockstar Jadeja. You’ve made him proud.”
100* off 160. Rockstar Jadeja. You’ve made him proud.
Shane Warne and Ravindra Jadeja used to play together for Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural edition of the IPL and it was Warne who nicknamed Jadeja as Rockstar. Earlier Rajasthan Royals also paid tribute to their first skipper under whose leadership they won the IPL 2008 and wrote in the statement that he would always be their captain:
The first season of the business reality show Shark Tank India may have gone off-air but the social media is abuzz with memes and jokes related to it, especially about Ashneer Grover who was pretty harsh on some entrepreneurs. In this show, the entrepreneurs had to make presentation of their products in front of the investors who were called Sharks and had to convince them to invest in their business. While some businesses were liked by the Sharks, several others were rejected by them and then there were few which got ridiculed and the business owners got roasted by the sharks.
One such entrepreneur was Rohit Warrier, the founder of Sippline Drinking Shields which manufactures an oral hygiene product that can also be called “glass ka mask”. Ashneer Grover, one of the sharks, not only ridiculed the product but also slammed Rohit Warrier in the show. Ashneer said, “Bhai kya kar raha hai yaar tu? Mazak hai kya? Aap kya bohot zyada peete ho kya? Matlab ye idea apke dimaag mein aya bhi kaise ki glass ko mask pehnauga?” (Bro what are you doing? Is this a joke? Do you drink a lot? I mean how did this idea of making the glass wear a mask come to your mind?)
He continued, “Mere ismein bohot strong views hain… Ye jo product hai na matlab isse wahiyat product maine zindagi mein na dekha hai na mai dekhna chahta hu”. (I have very strong views on it… I’ve never seen a more ridiculous product than this in my entire life nor do I want to see.)

In the clip, you must have noticed that Aman Gupta was also not able to control his laughter and now Rohit Warrier has taken a dig at both the Sharks in a video posted by him. He asks the viewers a wahiyat (ridiculous) question as to which company’s headphone he is using. He further states that this is not a made in China, stamped in India product which is a dig at Boat co-founder Aman Gupta.
He further says, “Mai Bose ka bohot bada fan hun. Maine apna career Bose se shuru kiya tha. Innovation ka importance maine Bose se seekha.” (I am a big fan of Bose. I started my career with Bose. I learnt importance of innovation through Bose).
While concluding, he says that his spectacles are from LensKart, adding that why he would lie about it.
Indian Premier League is certainly one of the most popular tournaments of the world and since its inception in 2008, it has gained immense popularity as cricketers from almost all the cricketing nations come to play in this league. What makes IPL more special and different from other leagues is the fact that the Indian cricketers play only in this league as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t allow them to play in other leagues.
However, many times we have seen that some people compare IPL with Pakistan Super League (PSL) which started in 2015. While IPL had 8 teams till now, from this year there will be 10 teams fighting for the title and PSL has 6 teams competing to win the trophy. The total number of matches played in IPL is around 70 while in PSL, the total number of matches played is 34. If we talk about the prize money given in both the leagues, this year’s PSL winner Lahore Qalandars was given a prize money of PKR 80 million which converts to Rs 3.40 crore in the Indian currency but the prize money of IPL is four times more of PSL’s prize money as the winner of IPL 2022 will get a huge amount of Rs. 20 crore as the prize money.
Well, there are many other factors which are brought in debate by those who feel that PSL is better than IPL and some time back, the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan made a tweet in which he called PSL the best league.
Michael Vaughan’s tweet read, “The Pakistan Super league has it spot on… High quality players… Fewer games than other tournaments making it a few weeks shorter… It’s leaves you wanting a little bit more at the end… Other tournaments don’t… #Pakistan”
The Pakistan Super league has it spot on … High quality players … Fewer games than other tournaments making it a few weeks shorter … It’s leaves you wanting a little bit more at the end … Other tournaments don’t … #Pakistan
Though Michael Vaughan didn’t take the name of any other league, it was easy for the Indians to understand that he was targeting IPL as he has always been critical of the Indian cricket.
Now Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has opened up on this debate and in his opinion, PSL can’t give competition to IPL as the cricketers from the whole world come to take part in the league and the Indian players are available in IPL only which makes it the best and the strongest league of the world.
Usman Khawaja is a part of the Australian team which is touring Pakistan after almost 24 years and for him, playing in Pakistan is special as it is the country where he was born. Khawaja’s parents shifted to Australia few years after his birth and this is Khawaja’s first international tour to Pakistan.
So which league is better in your opinion – IPL or PSL?
Ladies and gentlemen, we all know that being a woman can tend to get a little difficult sometimes. Having so many roles to play is frankly exhausting, leaving little time for one’s own self. So once a year, when Women’s Day arrives, it’s important to celebrate the women in your life. Women’s Day brings the perfect opportunity to plan a fun day for your mom or give a thoughtful gift to your girlfriend. Another way that you can show your love and appreciation is by gifting jewelry this Women’s Day, to that special lady in your life.
Show Your Commitment And Make Her Feel Special
Gifting jewelry is a serious business. Only when someone is really special to you would you invest in jewelry for them, right? Since jewelry is expensive, it is the best way you can show your loved one appreciation, commitment and express your love. It’s no secret that women love bling and it is the perfect way to make your girl feel special.
If you have been together for a long time or are just getting started, nothing says “I love you” like a pair of diamond earrings or a dainty pendant. It is also important to get your pick right so make sure you know your partner’s preferences before you take the plunge and make a purchase. Keep in mind things like their face shape and how often they use jewelry and buy your gift accordingly. Here are a few suggestions that will be helpful in your quest.
1. Diamond Studs: A simple, no-nonsense gift for your woman. These are the most universal and foolproof choice and are so eternally elegant that you can never go wrong with them. They are romantic, versatile and sophisticated.
2. Halo Diamond Pendant: These dainty and graceful pendants look good on everyone and are a great choice if you are married or in a long-term relationship. They look royal and will add an extra oomph to your partner’s look. These come in various shapes, sizes and stones which make them a perfect gift this Women’s Day.
3. Tennis Bracelets: Tennis bracelets are a classic example of timeless fine jewelry. They can be worn on any occasion and will melt your woman’s heart. They look classy and can be dressed down or up, depending on the occasion. Not only this, they are durable and can be worn daily.
There are many things you can do to make sure that your partner has a special day and jewelry is just one of them. You can plan a super fun and relaxing day for her at the spa to pamper her or book a staycation or a night out with her friends. Sometimes instead of grand gestures, focus on the little things like lending a helping hand around the house, making a cup of tea for her when she’s tired or simply just listening to her. If small gestures are like cake, gifting jewelry is simply the cherry on top. Women are simple creatures and showing appreciation once in a while will take you a long way.
Virat Kohli has once again disappointed his fans as he got out on the score of 45 runs in the first innings of the first test match of the 2-match test series which is being played between India and Sri Lanka at Mohali. The Indian cricketer has not scored a ton since 2019 and his fans were hoping that he would do that in this test match and make his achievement of playing the 100th test more special but their hopes have been quashed as of now. However, there is still a chance of seeing Virat Kohli scoring his 71st century as he may do it in the second innings of this test match.
Virat Kohli’s dismissal in the first innings shocked many because he was looking in good touch and the delivery on which he got out was not a very good one. Virat Kohli found it difficult to believe that he got out on such a delivery by the Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Embuldeniya. As Virat Kohli walked to the pavilion, the micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with tweets from the Indian cricket fans who were left upset and dejected.
Hats off 2 U!
Never easy 2 predict wit dis much accuracy even 4 d 1s closely following the game & the player 4 so long. On the otherI feel bad about Kohli dat his innings has become predictable. I never ever thought he 2 cud go thru a rough patch #ViratKohli𓃵@imVkohlihttps://t.co/f5L6pJkiuD
Hey @imVkohli man!
We really miss your century.. we all are dying to see the start of the streak once again.. please fill the hearts of billions of your fans with joy .
Always With You
Last few months have been quite tough on Virat Kohli as earlier team India performed pretty badly in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 under his leadership. He gave up his captaincy of the T20 team as he announced even before the start of the tournament but then he was replaced by Rohit Sharma as the ODI skipper as well. After that, India lost the test series against South Africa, he was also criticized for his behaviour and he chose to give up his test captaincy as well.
This is the first test match of Rohit Sharma as the skipper and as far as the game is concerned, India won the toss and chose to bat first. Till the time this article was written, India had scored 337/6 with Ravindra Jadeja (39) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0) at the crease. While Virat Kohli missed his fifty by 5 runs, Rishabh Pant missed his century by 4 runs and Hanuma Vihari also played a useful knock of 58 runs.
Will Virat Kohli be able to end his century drought in the second innings of this test match? What do you think? Let us know your views.
The Indian cricket team will play 2-match test series with the Sri Lankan squad and the first match of the series has started today (March 4) at Mohali. This is the first time that Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian side in the purest format of the game after being appointed as the skipper in all the three formats. Hitman is known for his jolly attitude and many times his funny side is displayed in the press conferences as well. Yesterday while interacting with the mediapersons, Rohit Sharma was in a good mood and when a journalist asked him about his target as he has played only 40-odd test matches till now, he said he hasn’t put any target for himself, now he only thinks about the team.
When a reporter asked Rohit whether the match is going to be played on outfield because he is not talking about the pitch, the cricketer responded in a hilarious way, saying that nobody is asking correct questions, nobody is talking about the pitch, team combination or the crowd that is coming back in the stadium, which is actually good for him.
The Mohali test match is a special one because this is the 100th test match of the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is the 12th Indian cricketer to achieve this huge milestone. In the 99 test matches that Virat has played, he has scored 7962 runs at an average of 50.4 which includes 27 centuries and 28 fifties. The highest score made by Virat Kohli is 254 not out but presently he is going through a lean patch as he hasn’t scored a century in the last 2 years in any format of the game.
The Punjab Cricket Association announced initially that the test match will be played in closed doors but after understanding the importance of the match, it revoked its own decision and now after a long time, we will see crowd in the stadium during a test match.
As far as the first test match is concerned, the toss was won by the hosts and they decided to bat first. At present, both the teams are having tea break and India has scored 199/4 with Rishabh Pant (12) and Shreyas Iyer (14) on the crease. Rohit Sharma (29) and Mayank Agarwal (33) gave a steady start to the Indian innings but it was Hanuma Vihari who displayed a lot of patience in scoring 58 runs for which he played 128 balls. The former skipper Virat Kohli missed his half-century by 5 runs and once again the hopes of his fans of seeing him scoring a big score got quashed.
