Liam Livingstone Has A Cool Reply To Troller Who Asks Him To Focus On Cricket Over Football

Liam Livingstone, the English cricketer who was playing for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022, had left the league midway after injuring his hand in a match against Islamabad United. He may not have been able to make an impact in the PSL 2022 but he is certainly one of the most expensive players of the IPL as he has been purchased for Rs. 11.50 crore by Punjab Kings.

Liam Livingstone is also a great fan of football and recently he took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to cheer for Blackburn Rovers, the English football club which is going to take part in the EFL Championship.

Liam Livingstone tweeted, “Day out at Ewood… massive day! Come on the boys”.

On this tweet, an online user tried to troll the 28 years old English cricketer by asking him to focus on cricket but Liam Livingstone had a wonderful reply for him. He thanked the troller and posted the message with a thumbs up emoji.

Liam Livingstone played four matches for Peshawar Zalmi; he was able to score only 39 runs and took just 2 wickets. But he will certainly like to improve his performance in the IPL 2022 which is going to start from March 26 and will end on May 29. The players will be living in bio-bubble and all the matches will be played only at four venues out of which three are in Mumbai while one is in Pune.

This was certainly a cool reply by Liam Livingstone, wasn’t it?

Irfan Pathan Pulls Ravindra Jadeja’s Leg For Blinking His Eyes A Lot, Jadeja Reacts

The Indian cricket team has scripted history by whitewashing the fourth consecutive limited over series at home as yesterday it defeated the Sri Lankans in the third and the final T20I of the 3-match T20I series and won the series by 3-0.

Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all-rounder is an integral part of team India and he played an important part in India’s win especially in the second T20I after which he also engaged in a hilarious banter with the former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan. The second T20I was played on February 26 at HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala; the toss was won by the hosts and they decided to bowl first.

Batting first, the Sri Lankan cricket team put up a total of 183 runs for 5 wickets on the score board in the stipulated 20 overs with the help of beautiful innings of Pathum NIssanka (75), Danushka Gunathilaka (38) and Dasun Shanaka (47). Chasing a big target of 184 runs, India had a pretty bad start as the team lost both its openers Rohit Sharma(1) and Ishan Kishan (16); however, Shreyas Iyer (74) and Sanju Samson (39) not only stabilized the innings but also paved the path for India’s triumph. Well, the highlight of the Indian innings was the batting of Ravindra Jadeja who scored 45 runs in just 18 balls and his innings included 7 fours and 1 six.

While talking to the mediapersons in the virtual press conference, Ravindra Jadeja thanked his skipper Rohit Sharma for showing faith in him but there was one thing peculiar about him, Jadeja was blinking his eyes a lot.

The former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan noticed this act of Jadeja and he decided to have some fun at the latter’s expense. Irfan Pathan took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Baapu needs eye drops”.

Ravindra Jadeja soon responded by telling that he was wearing lens for the first time and Irfan praised Jadeja by saying that the manner in which he was batting, it felt as if he had worn binoculars.

Jadeja also thanked Irfan for appreciating his batting.

In the third and the final T20I of the series, the visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. They put up a total of 146/5 on the score board which was chased by the hosts in 16.5 overs. Shreyas Iyer once again played a beautiful innings of 73 not out (45 balls, 9 fours & 1 six) and he was not only declared as the player of the match but also the player of the series.

Irfan Pathan certainly has a good sense of humour. What do you say?

Jasprit Bumrah Revealed How Troubling Ricky Ponting Helped Him Secure A Place In MI

The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is an integral part of the Indian cricket team as well as his IPL team Mumbai Indians and many times he has given match-winning performances for both the teams. Over the years, he has earned the reputation of being one of the best pacers of the present times and how important he is for MI can be understood by the fact that he was also one of those four players who were retained by the franchise.

Mumbai Indians retained its skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, West Indian cricketer Kieron Pollard and Surya Kumar Yadav ahead of the auction for the IPL 2022 and Bumrah is getting paid Rs. 12 crore by the franchise. Though Jasprit Bumrah performed well in the IPL 2021 as he took 21 wickets in 14 matches and was the third highest wicket-taker in the tournament yet MI was not able to even enter the play-offs.

Recently while speaking on the YouTube channel of his teammate and veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, Bumrah narrated how he got the chance to play for Mumbai Indians in the year 2013.

He told that the MI team was practicing in Bengaluru and he practiced with the squad for 2 days. The practice wickets were green and the white ball used to swing at that time. During the practice, he troubled everyone with his big in-swingers and he also dismissed the former Aussie cricketer Ricky Ponting 2-3 times. The MI officials and players had a discussion about him and decided to play him as they felt that he is different.

MI lifted its first IPL trophy in the year 2013 and Bumrah has played an important role in all the five title wins of his team.

The IPL 2022 is slated to start from March 26 and the finals of the tournament will be played on 29th May. However, only MI will have the home advantage as the Board of Control for Cricket in India has finalized four stadiums for the tournament and out of these four stadiums, three are in Mumbai while one is in Pune. The players will have to live in bio-bubble in order to remain safe from COVID-19.

Do you think MI will win the IPL sixth time?

“Aakhir Kehna Kya Chahte Ho?,” Fans Left Confused After BCCI Announced IPL 2022 New Format

The Indian cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the IPL 2022 to begin as this time it is going to be bigger and better than ever because two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will be joining the eight existing teams in the fight to win the IPL trophy. The tournament is going to start from March 26 and the final will be played on May 29. The players will need to live in bio-bubble due to COVID-19 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided that matches will be played at four venues only in order to avoid more traveling to reduce the risk of getting infected with the virus. The three venues have been finalized in Mumbai – Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium and one venue has been chosen in Pune which is – MCA International Stadium.

Many of us thought that this time, the matches played will be more than the earlier seasons as two new teams have been added in the tournament but BCCI has change the format of the league phase so that the number of matches gets reduce to some extent. However no changes have been made in regard to the play-offs and each team will still play 14 matches in the league phase but in a different manner.

The 10 teams have been divided in two groups, the Group A has Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants and the Group B consists of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans.

MI and CSK have been kept on the top in the groups on the basis of the number of trophies won by them. Each team will play 2 matches with the teams of their group and 2 matches with one team of the other group and one-one match with other four teams of the other group. BCCI has given seedings to each team and it will decide which teams from different groups will play 2 matches against each other.

The Indian Twitterati went berserk after seeing that this new format is a little complicated and difficult to understand. Here are some selected reactions:

Michael Vaughan Showers Praises On PSL, Gets Roasted By Indian Twitterati

The Indian Twitterati certainly loves the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan as he gives plenty of chances to the Indian cricket lovers to troll him and he is once again on the target of Indian netizens as he made a tweet in which he called the Pakistan Super League (PSL) better than other leagues.

Though Michael Vaughan has not taken name of any other cricket league, the Indian cricket fans are sure that he is targeting the Indian Premier League, something that he has done in the past many times.

Recently, Michael Vaughan made a tweet in which he wrote that the Pakistan Super League is spot on as it has high quality players and as less matches are played, the cricket fans are left wanting for more in the end which is not the case with the other franchises.

Here is what Vaughan wrote, “The Pakistan Super league has it spot on… High quality players… Fewer games than other tournaments making it a few weeks shorter… It leaves you wanting a little bit more at the end… Other tournaments don’t… #Pakistan”.

As we told you above that the Indians speculated as if Michael Vaughan was trying to take a dig at the IPL even though he didn’t name it, they trolled him left and right for this tweet.

However, there is no denying the fact that the IPL is far bigger and better than any other franchise league including the PSL and in this season, it is going to get bigger than ever as two new franchises – Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will join the existing 8 teams. As per the reports, the IPL 2022 is going to start from March 26 and the final match will be played on May 29.

It will be interesting to see how former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer will react on this statement made by Michael Vaughan as they both keep pulling each other’s leg at every chance they get. Many former Indian cricketers feel that Vaughan targets the Indian cricket team and the IPL just because he wants to increase his followers.

What is your take on the tweet of Michael Vaughan? Let us know.
