There are two former cricketers who leave no chance of trolling each other on the micro-blogging site Twitter. In fact, their fans too enjoy their Twitter banter a lot and we are quite sure that you must be knowing about them if you are really a cricket lover. Hopefully, you must have guessed that we are talking about former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer and former England cricketer Michael Vaughan.
Recently, Michael Vaughan appeared on the YouTube channel of Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and during the chat, Vaughan revealed why he and Jaffer are so critical of each other on the social media.
The former England skipper stated that it all started in the year 2002 when India went on a tour to England and in the first test match which was played at Lord’s , Vaughan took the wicket of Wasim Jaffer in the second innings. Wasim Jaffer got out after scoring a half-century as he edged the ball giving a catch to the then skipper Nasser Hussain in the slip and what made it special for Vaughan is that it was his first test wicket. Michael Vaughan added that Wasim Jaffer must not have been that good with bat if he got out on his bowling and this was the start of their banter.
However, we need to praise both the former cricketers as they take each other’s witty banters in a sporting manner and enjoy the jokes which are made on them. The fans will definitely love to see them continuing the same as it gives them some moments to have a good laugh.

The cyber crimes have become quite common nowadays and it won’t be wrong to say that majority of such crimes take place because of the carelessness of victims. Many times we have seen people sharing personal details, OTPs, passwords, etc. on the phone to those who pretend to be someone from the bank and get robbed of their hard-earned money. What makes it surprising is the fact that all this happens even when the banks keep on telling the customers that they never ask for OTP or passwords. Besides, we should also keep hard or strong passwords for our email, social media accounts, banking apps, etc. so that it is difficult for the hackers to guess and our accounts remain safe.
The importance of the social media networks has been understood by the police departments and recently the Mumbai Police shared a video on its official Instagram handle which makes us understand the necessity of having a strong and ideal password for our accounts. In the video, a bottle which has “Worcestershire sauce” printed on it is seen moving and a person tries to pronounce the word.
While ideal password is written on the image, the Mumbai police posted it with the caption, “If your passwords are any simpler than this, ‘it’s hard to say’ whether your accounts are safe. #CyberSafety #KeepHardToSayPasswords”.
Check out the post:
Well, that was quite a funny yet creative way of the Mumbai Police to ask public to make their passwords hard in order to ensure cyber safety.

The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha created a huge controversy after he revealed that he has been threatened by a journalist because the cricketer didn’t oblige his request for an interview and in order to support his claims, Saha also posted screenshot of the chat with the journo. Soon many former cricketers, people from the cricket fraternity and cricket fans showed their support to Saha and asked him to reveal the name of that journalist.
Saha also states that he has been contacted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in regard to this matter and he has sent them an email explaining the whole incident as well. Nevertheless, the cricketer refuses to reveal the name of the journalist because he doesn’t want the latter’s reputation to be harmed and also doesn’t want his family to get affected with this episode.
During an interview, the 37 years old player stated that he was hurt because of the manner in which the journalist behaved, especially when he has never behaved in a bad manner with any journalist and no journalist hasn’t also behaved with him like this earlier either. He added that his sole purpose of making the message public was to tell people that there are some individuals like this in the world of journalism.
In another interview, Saha stated that he wouldn’t have made the second tweet if the journalist had contacted him and apologized to him. As per Wriddhiman Saha, he has given time to the person to think about what wrong he has done and Saha also makes it clear that if there is no change in the journalist, he (Saha) will have to think.
Earlier, Saha also made some interesting revelations regarding his communication with the current President of BCCI Sourav Ganguly and head coach of the Indian team Rahul Dravid.
Wriddhiman Saha, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma have not been selected in the Indian squad for the 2-match test series which will be played against Sri Lanka at home.

The Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha has been making headlines after he didn’t get selected for the 2-match test series which India will play against Sri Lanka starting from March 4. Earlier, he revealed his conversations with Sourav Ganguly/BCCI and head coach Rahul Dravid and later on, he also disclosed that he was threatened by a respected journalist for not giving an interview. While the whole cricket world and his fans rallied behind Saha and asked him to name the person, the cricketer chose not to reveal the name because he feels that it will harm the journalist’s reputation plus his family will also suffer.
Now a former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman has joined the debate as he also alleged that injustice was done to him and he was dropped from the team without any reason.
The name of the former wicketkeeper-batsman is Syed Kirmani who was also a part of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian team.
During an interview, he states that Saha must be feeling bad but every cricketer has to go through ups and downs. Kirmani goes to say that Saha is facing a lot of competition from the youngsters who are performing well in the IPL as well as other tournaments, adding that who knows the selectors and the team management are thinking about the player.
Talking about himself, 72 years old Syed Kirmani stated that he is a victim of injustice as he was dropped from the team without facing any competition but nobody even cared and talked about it. Kirmani who has also served as a selector said that he had no idea as to why he was dropped despite the fact that he was at the top of his career and many times he gave match-winning performances. Syed Kirmani represented the country in 88 test matches, he alleged that many times false reports were published without getting cross checked in order to malign his image; for example, if someone else drops a catch in the slip, the reports were published with his photo in order to imply that it was Kirmani who took the catch.
He further stated that all his life he has been a fighter and when he wanted to play for his state team (Karnataka) in order to perform well and make a comeback, he was dropped from the Karnataka team because of which he was left with no option other than joining the Railways team. Kirmani further revealed that not just this, he was even mocked by the secretary of the Karnataka State Cricket Association for playing for Railways. Syed Kirmani cited that it was certainly not the correct manner to treat a player who won World Cup and who had always been a team man throughout his career.
What is your take on the revelations made by Syed Kirmani? Do let us know your views.

Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana is one of those few actors who have dared to work in movies which are related to sensitive topics including the caste system, LGBTQ, etc. He is certainly the first lead actor who played the character of a gay in his movie “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” and it won’t be wrong to say that he impressed everyone with his acting. Ayushmann’s recent release “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” was also based on a sensitive subject as a man falls in love with a transwoman and it was also loved by audiences.
On the occasion of SMZS turning 2 yrs old, Ayushmann Khurrana posted a beautiful, powerful and emotional poem in which he talked about different issues faced by people of the LGBTQ community. In the caption, he wrote that the movies were an attempt to start discussion in the society about the sensitive topics and now after creating awareness about these topics, it is time now to see the people from this community in the mainstream cinema.
He captioned his post as, “I have always considered myself merely a vehicle or a medium to tell stories that hopefully will affect positive social change. I was thrilled with how audiences reacted to the strong message about gender inclusivity that #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan (SMZS) delivered, making it a unique success story. On the second anniversary of the film, I again want to highlight that what’s most important right now is representation of the community in mainstream cinema. I think awareness among our countrymen has been created by films like Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and now Badhaai Do. I believe we are moving in the right direction. SMZS and CKA will be remembered as baby steps towards a bigger impact. #2YearsOfShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan”.

The biggest problem faced by individuals of the LGBTQ community is that people consider them as sick and look at them in a different manner. With growing awareness, society is accepting them to a little extent but still there are many who are living their real-life inside the closed doors because they are afraid to come out in open. Hopefully with few more movies like SMZS, CKA and “Badhaai Do”, we will see some more change in the perspective of the society in relation to the LGBTQ community.

Deepika Padukone starrer Gehraiyaan which also stars Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in important roles has received mixed reactions from audiences. The movie got released on a streaming platform on 11th Feb 2022 and since then, it has always been in news for various reasons, while some including the former police commissioner of Bengaluru, Bhaskar Rao has a problem with the message conveyed by the movie, there are few who are not happy with the intimate scenes in the film. In simple words, Shakun Batra directed flick may not have been liked by all but it is certainly a topic of discussion among many; however recently, the moviemakers got trolled on the Internet for a completely different issue.
The shooting of a scene doesn’t get over in a single take especially if the scene is of a big duration, it is shot in a number of takes and it is important for the makers and their staff to ensure that the continuity is maintained in the scene. The makers have now started hiring people who are entrusted with taking care of ensuring that all the items, props, etc. used in a scene remain same throughout the scene but it seems that there was someone who didn’t take his responsibility seriously.
The Australian journalist Chloe-Amanda Bailey watched the movie “Gehraiyaan” and she pointed out a mistake which took place during the shooting but was not noticed by viewers. She posted two stills from a scene which featured Ananya and Siddhant, in the scene Ananya is first seen holding a oval shape glass while sipping water but a little later, she is seen sipping water from a cylindrical glass despite the fact that she didn’t put the glass down in the scene.
Chloe-Amanda Bailey posted the photos and wrote, “One thing unresolved in #Gehraiyaan is how Tia’s glass transformed in this scene when she never put it down?” with laughing emoji.
She also posted the video clip from the movie to make people understand her point of view clearly:
The tweets soon went viral and people started expressing themselves over this mistake committed by the makers.

The reality shows have become quite popular among the Indian audiences and we have seen that almost every TV channel is airing good number of reality shows whether it is related to dance, singing, comedy, etc. but Shark Tank India stood apart from all other shows because of the fact that it was a business-related reality show.
In this show, there was a panel of investors who were called sharks and many entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs presented their business ideas in front of these sharks in order to convince them to invest money in their businesses. The audiences also loved this show which was the Indian version of American reality show Shark Tank and the panel of the sharks comprised of some famous names of the Indian business world – Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Ashneer Grover, Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal and Vineeta Singh. The show has also given a lot of meme material to all the creative social media users and many memes related to the show as well as the sharks are still getting circulated even after the first season of the show has got over.
The show was hosted by the famous anchor Rannvijay Singha who has quit Roadies which he hosted for 17 years and he was also an important part of the memes fest. If you remember, in one episode, Rannvijay was seen offering an MBA course from the sponsor of the show to IIT-PhD graduate and it resulted in a flood of memes roasting the anchor like never before. Though Rannvijay was just doing his duty and he must have been asked to do it by the makers as keeping sponsors happy is also very important but social media users left no chance of having fun at the expense of the host.
Recently, Rannvijay opens up on how much he gets affected with memes and jokes on social media. He states that till now he has done many shows including Roadies, Splitsvilla, etc. and now he has become used to of these memes, spoofs, etc. He adds that he tries to keep himself updated about the memes and spoofs but the amount of memes that are made is really beyond imagination.
He said that the first spoof on Shark Tank India was made by a streaming platform and it helped that platform in getting recognition. Singha further states that if memes are being made on you, it means that your work is getting noticed and they are very helpful for a new show as they will attract the attention of even those who are not watching the show. He says that he loves the creativity which is shown by people while making these memes and a person can lead a peaceful life if he is able to laugh on the jokes made on him.
That is quite smart of Rannvijay Singha, what do you say?
