Wriddhiman Saha Shared Screenshot Of How A Journalist Warned Him, Sehwag Came Out In Support

The Indian squad for the Sri Lanka 2-match home test series which will start from March 4 has been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently and the names of some senior players were found missing from the list.

The selectors have dropped Ajinkya Rahane, Chesteshwar Pujara, Ishant Sharma and Wriddhiman Saha and while talking to the journalists in a virtual press conference, the chief selector Chetan Sharma states that these players have already been informed that they won’t be considered for the Sri Lanka series. He further says that it’s not the selectors who end the career of a player, adding that if a player scores runs and takes wickets, he will certainly play for the country. Chetan Sharma also states that he has asked all the four cricketers to play in the Ranji Trophy.

Though Chetan Sharma talked about Rahane and Pujara’s exclusion, he refused to disclose the reasons behind Saha’s exclusion. Talking about Wriddhiman Saha’s decision of not playing in the Ranji Trophy, Chetan Sharma states that he can’t say anything about it as it doesn’t come in his jurisdiction and this has to be taken care of by the state unit.

On the other hand, the wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha who was a part of the South Africa series but didn’t play a single match made some interesting revelations and a controversy has erupted after he shared a screenshot of his chat with a journalist who was rude to Saha and warned the cricketer of dire consequences as Saha chose not to give an interview to him.

Take a look at the screenshot:

Saha took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the screenshot with the caption, “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket.. this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.”

Soon cricket fans started expressing their anger over the manner in which a journalist warned the Indian cricketer. The former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took a note of the incident and came out in full support of Saha.

Viru paaji responded with, “Extremely sad. Such sense of entitlement, neither is he respected nor a journalist, just chamchagiri. With you Wriddhi.”

Earlier, Saha also talked about the conversation which he had with the Board officials. Saha was a part of the New Zealand series and got featured in both the test matches as Rishabh Pant was not a part of the team at that time. In that series, Wriddhiman Saha played a gutsy knock of 61 runs in the first innings despite being injured in order to save the team. After this, he received a message from the current President Sourav Ganguly who stated that he doesn’t need to worry about his place in the team as long as he is at the top position. Saha stated that he is not able to understand how the things have changed so fast.

Talking about the conversation that he had with the team management including the head coach Rahul Dravid, 37 years old Saha says that he has been advised to take retirement as he has been told clearly that he won’t be considered for selection in the team in the future.

Who can be this sports journalist according to you?

“Throw Me To The Wolves…” Rohit Sharma’s Old Tweet Goes Viral After He Gets Test Captaincy

There was a lot of speculation as to who will be named as the Indian test team’s new captain after Virat Kohli gave up his test captaincy post losing the test series to South Africa. Many were in support of Rohit Sharma but there were some who wanted someone else to don the skipper’s cap because Rohit Sharma is going to be 35 yrs old soon and age is certainly on his side.

Yesterday (Feb 19), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for the upcoming India-Sri Lanka series which will start with the first test match being played at Mohali from March 4 and the BCCI also named Rohit Sharma as the new skipper of the Indian test team. Hitman is already leading team India in the white ball formats and he has been pretty successful in the recent past.

It is certainly a big achievement for Rohit Sharma as there was a time when he was not able to secure his berth in the Indian test team and many cricket experts predicted that he may be successful in shorter formats but he is a failure in the longest format. The cricketer’s fans are very happy now and an old tweet of Hitman is going viral in which he defines himself through a quote.

In Sept 2018, Rohit Sharma carried out a Question & Answer session with his followers and fans and one of them asked the Indian skipper to tell a quote which describes him. In response, Rohit Sharma wrote, “Throw me to the wolves and I come back leading the pack”.

While it is certainly a moment to celebrate, it is also true that leading the team in test matches will be a big test for Rohit Sharma. Though there is no denying the fact that he has proved himself as a superb leader since Mumbai Indians has won five IPL titles under his captaincy, fulfilling the responsibility of a skipper in the purest format of the game will be completely different.

What is your take on the decision of appointing Rohit Sharma as the captain of the Indian test team? Do let us know.

Indian Jugaad At Its Best, Bihar Guy Converts Tata Nano Into Helicopter, Rents It For Marriages

The Indian weddings are meant to be big and classy and nowadays couples love to make their wedding functions memorable by doing unique things such as making entry on bikes or while dancing, using helicopters for taking the bride home, getting married underwater or in air, etc.

Hiring a helicopter for wedding purpose can be a costly affair as it may cost around Rs. 2 lakhs; however, a person from Bagaha, Bihar, has come up with a great idea. The name of the person is Guddu Sharma and when he realized that there are many people who want to include helicopter in their wedding plans, he changed the shape of Nano car to helicopter and started giving it on rent in marriages.

Guddu Sharma is a mechanic by profession and he has installed sensors and designed the interiors in such a manner that it really gives the feeling of a helicopter. He has spent around Rs. 1.5 lakhs for this and the rent of his helicopter shaped car is Rs. 15,000.

While some people have called this Guddu Sharma’s artistry, few others have used the popular word Indian jugaad. Guddu has certainly given a very beautiful and affordable option to many bridegrooms who don’t have much money to arrange for a helicopter but this is not the first time that such a thing has happened in the country or in the world.

Earlier another person named Mithilesh Prasad from Bihar’s Chhapra converted his Nano car into helicopter because he wanted to become a pilot but wasn’t able to fulfill his dreams due to personal reasons. It took Mithilesh Prasad seven months to convert his car into helicopter and a total amount of Rs. 7 lakhs was spent on the project. On the other hand, there was a Brazilian person who made a helicopter by using parts from cars which were scrapped.

Well, this is certainly a quite cheap and great option for couples who want to make their wedding unique and unforgettable for guests. Have you also come across any such genius invention? Share with us.

In the video, a woman is seen standing in her kitchen and chopping a vegetable while her partner/husband is seen engrossed in his mobile phone. As the woman saw the man, she started chopping vegetable in a manner so as to scare him or make him realize that she is angry after which the man starts washing dishes. Just then, the woman also gets normal and starts chopping the vegetable slowly.

The tagline used for the video is, “For a successful marriage, you don’t need to talk to understand each other.”

“Where Is Ruturaj Gaikwad?” Asks Angry Twitter After Ishan Kishan Failed In 2nd INDvsWI T20I

The Indian cricket team under Rohit Sharma’s leadership has once again proved itself superior to the West Indies cricket team in the limited overs format. India defeated West Indies by 8 runs in the second T20I of the 3-match series which was played yesterday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Indian squad is now leading in the T20I series by 2-0 and it has already won the 3-match ODI series by 3-0 earlier.

The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant played beautiful knocks of 52 runs each and helped their team in putting up a total of 186/5 on the scoreboard. While Virat Kohli faced 41 deliveries before getting out and his innings included 7 fours and 1 six, Rishabh Pant was more aggressive of the two as he also smashed 7 fours and 1 six but played only 28 deliveries and remained not out till the end.

However, Ishan Kishan once again failed to make an impact with the bat despite the fact that he got the chance to open the innings with Rohit Sharma for the second time in this series. In the second T20I, Ishan Kishan did not seem to be in good touch and he scored only 2 runs before getting out on the 10th delivery which was bowled to him by Sheldon Cottrell.

Ishan Kishan opened in the first T20I as well and in that match, he scored 35 runs after facing 42 balls and his strike rate didn’t even touch the mark of 85. He is known for his explosive batting style because of which these two poor performances have drawn a lot of criticism from fans and cricketing experts as well, especially because India needs to make a strong team for the T20 World Cup which will be played in Australia later this year.

Ishan Kishan became the most expensive player of the IPL 2022 as he was bought back by Mumbai Indians for a whopping price of Rs. 15.75 crore in the mega-auctions of the IPL 2022 and many online users are alleging that he is getting many chances just because he is from MI which is led by Rohit Sharma who is also the skipper of the Indian cricket team. Ishan is being tried for opening slot because KL Rahul is not a part of the Indian team as of now but the Indian squad has other good options as well, such as – Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Many Twitter users asked the team management where Ruturaj Gaikwad is. Just to inform, he plays for Maharashtra in domestic circuits, was the leading scorer of the IPL 2021 and played an instrumental role in helping his team Chennai Super Kings in winning the IPL 2021.

While the online users are backing Ruturaj Gaikwad, the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer feels that team India should play Ishan Kishan as opener in the third and the final T20I match of the series as well and give him one more chance as there is no point in giving just one chance to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

What is your take in this regard? Let us know.

Nikhil Chopra Compares Shreyas Iyer To Rishabh Pant, Reveals Who Is Superior & Match-Winner

The Indian cricket team may have registered a comfortable win against West Indies in the 3-match ODI series by 3-0 and in the first T20I as well but its middle-order batting is a great concern as of now. It has been seen that under pressure situations, the Indian middle-order has failed to perform in the limited overs cricket and this has resulted in a debate as to which batsman should be sent to bat at number 4 – Rishabh Pant or Shreyas Iyer.

Though Shreyas Iyer has performed well in the recent past, he was not a part of the playing squad in the ODIs and Rishabh Pant was even tried as an opener by the team management in the first T20I but he got out at a low score of 8 runs. Many cricket experts are of the opinion that Shreyas Iyer should replace Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan should keep the wickets but the former Indian cricketer Nikhil Chopra doesn’t agree with this.

Nikhil Chopra states during an interview that Rishabh Pant has become an integral part of the Indian squad and he doesn’t think that team India will even think of playing without him. He further says that although the suggestion of playing Iyer in place of Pant and asking Kishan to keep wickets is good yet he feels that Rishabh Pant should be given more responsibility and he should be asked to show better game awareness.

While comparing Iyer and Pant, Nikhil Chopra says that the left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman is far more explosive than Iyer on any given day and he will prove to be a bigger match-winner than Iyer. Chopra adds that even on an average day, Rishabh Pant will prove to be better than Shreyas Iyer.

While Nikhil Chopra may have come out in support of Rishabh Pant, there are many who are questioning Pant’s inconsistency with bat.

The Indian team will look forward to win the second T20I of the 3-match series as well in order to take an invincible lead in the series as it has already won the first T20I. The second T20I is being played at Eden Gardens, the visitors have won the toss and decided to bowl first. India has given a target of 187 runs to West Indies and Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have completed half-centuries, scoring 52 runs each. West Indies has already lost 2 wickets at the score of 60 runs in 8.5 overs.

Do you agree with Nikhil Chopra over his opinion on Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer? Let us know your views in this regard.

Riyan Parag Shares A Wonderful Tweet To Silence Virat Kohli’s Critics Over Poor Form

The Indian cricket team started the 3-match T20I series against West Indies with a bang as it defeated the visitors in the first T20I which was played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, by 6 wickets. The debutante Ravi Bishnoi was honoured with the Player of the Match award for his wonderful bowling as he took 2 wickets in his 4 overs and gave away 17 runs. Team India has already won the 3-match ODI series by 3-0 and the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is certainly on cloud nine as of now.

However, the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is going through a lean phase and he once again failed to make an impact with the bat. In the ODI series against West Indies also, the former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain was not able to make a big score and it gave one more chance to his critics to question his place in the team. It has been around 2 years that Virat Kohli has scored a century in any format of the game, though he has complete support of his skipper, head coach and the team management still his form is a matter of concern not just for him but for the Indian team as well.

After Virat Kohli got out at a small score of 17 for which he faced 13 deliveries, his haters once again raised questions regarding his form. It was then that a young Indian cricketer who is highly inspired by Virat gave a perfect answer to Kohli’s critics.

We are talking about Riyan Parag, the Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian state Assam in domestic circuits. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote Virat Kohli’s average in all the three formats with a goat emoji implying that Virat will always be greatest of all times for him.

Riyan wrote, “52,58,50 avg’s btw”

Virat Kohli is an inspiration for many youngsters and Riyan Parag is also one of them. In the mega-auction for the IPL 2022, team Rajasthan Royals bought back Riyan Parag for a price of Rs. 3.80 crores after releasing him earlier.

The second T20I of the series will be played today evening at the same venue Eden Gardens and hopefully we will see Virat Kohli back in form.
