Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Telugu movie “Pushpa: The Rise” has performed pretty well not just in the southern India but also in northern India and Allu Arjun’s Srivalli dance step is being liked by fans all across the globe. Many cricketers copied his dance step while celebrating on the field during the Bangladesh Premier League, some of them chose to make videos and posted them on their social media handles too. Recently, the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was also seen copying Allu Arjun’s dance step during the second ODI against West Indies.
Virat Kohli is certainly one of the most energetic cricketers of the present times and he is known for making the atmosphere lively on the field. After taking the catch of Odean Smith, few moments later, Virat Kohli started walking in a funny manner which was little bit similar to Allu Arjun’s Srivalli dance step.

Virat Kohli has not been much successful in the series against West Indies as in both the matches he hasn’t been able to score big but his fans are really hoping to see him end his century drought in the final ODI of the series.
As far as the second ODI which was played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium is concerned, the visitors won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian team sprung a surprise as Rishabh Pant was sent to open the innings with Rohit Sharma despite the fact that KL Rahul has returned after not playing the first ODI.
However, the West Indian bowlers were bang on target as they dismissed the first three batsmen- Rohit Sharma (5), Rishabh Pant (18) and Virat Kohli (18) early. While KL Rahul missed his half-century by just 1 run, Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 64 runs and helped the team in scoring 237/9 in the stipulated 50 overs. The West Indians were all out for 193 with 4 overs still remaining in their innings and Prasidh Krishna was adjudged as the Player of the Match as he took 4 wickets and gave away only 12 runs in his 9 overs.
The third ODI will be played tomorrow at Narendra Modi Stadium and both the teams will try their best to win the last ODI as the hosts will like to whitewash the series, while the visitors will like to save some respect by winning it.
Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV shows that we have seen and it was loved by the Indian audiences as well. The show had 8 seasons, it started in the year 2011, concluded in 2019 and gave a huge viewership to HBO.
It seems that the chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra group, Anand Mahindra is also a big fan of Game of Thrones because recently he shared a tweet in which he gave a reference to the show. Anand Mahindra shared a tweet which featured a big snow wall.
First of all, take a look at the pic:
He captioned the tweet as, “The Wall. From the Game of the Thrones.. So it does exist…”
The Wall in Game of Thrones was shown as 700 feet tall, it stretched over a distance of 555 kilometers and was made in order to keep the White Walkers away.
The ice wall that is shown in the tweet shared by Anand Mahindra is the mighty Mirathang Glacier which is the Indian state Arunachal Pradesh and it is one of the biggest ice walls of the country. The adventure sports enthusiasts love to do trekking in the winter season on this wall and this photo has been clicked by Satyam Saboo who is basically from Guwahati but currently he is living in the financial capital of the country, i.e., Mumbai.
Anand Mahindra is pretty active on the social media sites, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter, and he keeps on posting tweets related to different issues on a regular basis.
The Indian Under-19 cricket team recently won the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2022 under the leadership of Yash Dhull and this is the fifth time that the Indian Under-19 s quad has attained victory in the World Cup. Earlier India has won the Under-19 World Cup under the leadership of Mohammad Kaif (2000), Virat Kohli (2008), Unmukt Chand (2012) and Prithvi Shaw (2018).
If you notice, out of the above four names, three have made it big on the international level with their talent. While Mohammad Kaif was an integral part of the Indian cricket team, Prithvi Shaw has also made it to the international level and the success that has been achieved by Virat Kohli, both as a batter and a skipper, has been phenomenal but Unmukt Chand failed to make an impact. Though Unmukt Chand played in domestic cricket and IPL (Rajasthan Royals & Mumbai Indians), he wasn’t able to achieve the same level of success which he did in Under-19.
The 28 years old Unmukt Chand who has played for Delhi and Uttarakhand at domestic level took retirement last year in August and now he has shifted his base to USA for better prospects. Recently, the former Indian cricketer Nikhil Chopra talked on why Virat Kohli was able to achieve success on the big stage but Unmukt Chand could not do so.
According to Nikhil Chopra, the phase in which a cricketer transits from Under-19 to Ranji Trophy is very critical because it is like a boy going to a men’s league and it is really important for the cricketer to understand that under-19 phase is completed and he needs to perform well at the Ranji level as well.
Nikhil Chopra said that Virat Kohli played for Delhi after winning the Under-19 World Cup and he scored a lot of runs, he got selected in the Indian team but got dropped soon; however he got selected once again after he performed well at the domestic level. The former Indian cricketer added that though Unmukt Chand was a great talent, he could not perform to his full potential and for getting a place in the Indian team, a player needs to prove himself better than others.
Unmukt Chand’s career in the USA cricket got a good start as he helped his team Silicon Valley Strikers in winning the Minor League Cricket.
Do you agree with Nikhil Chopra’s views? What is your take about it?
Mohammed Siraj is certainly the future of the Indian pace bowling and how talented he is can be understood by the fact that he is one of those three players who have been retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore management ahead of the mega-auction for the IPL 2022. The other two players who are retained by the Bangalore franchise are – former skipper Virat Kohli and Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.
While Siraj is being touted as one of the best bowlers of the young generation, there was a time when he performed pretty badly. In fact, many social media users slammed him and asked him to quit cricket and drive autos with his father.
Mohammed Siraj had a good start to his IPL career when he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad but things turned ugly when he started playing for RCB, especially in the year 2019 when he finished the IPL season with just 7 wickets at an economy rate of 9.55. The match against Kolkata Knight Riders was no less than a nightmare for the young pacer as he was hit for 5 sixes and he gave 36 runs in just 2.2 overs. What made things worse for him was the fact that he was removed from bowling after he bowled two beamers (full-toss deliveries) in the match. Not only this, he also dropped a catch of Chris Lynn and his team lost the match despite the fact that it made a big score of 205 runs.
During a chat on The RCB Podcast, Mohammed Siraj revealed that after he bowled two beamers, many netizens trolled him, asked him to quit cricket and drive autos with his father. He added that people don’t see the struggle behind becoming a cricketer but he remembered an advice given to him by the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
Siraj said that Dhoni asked him not to lend his ears to everything that is said about him by people because when he will perform well, they will appreciate him but when he will perform poor, the same people will slam him, so there is no need to take them seriously. Siraj said that the same people who slammed and trolled him were calling him the best bowler when he performed well so he does not need anyone’s opinion and he is still the same Siraj that he used to be back then.
Mohammed Siraj further said that his performance in the IPL 2019 was so bad that he felt it was the end of his IPL career but then he believed in himself a little and also realised that he was still young which increased his confidence to some extent. The pacer was thankful towards the RCB management for trusting and supporting him at that point of time because in his opinion, no other franchise would have supported him after his performance against KKR in the IPL 2019. However, things started getting better for him in the IPL 2020 and he calls his performance against KKR in that season as life-changing because he took 3 wickets and gave away just 8 runs in his four overs. In addition, he also became the first bowler who bowled two maiden overs in a match.
Soon Siraj got the chance to represent India in the purest format of the game and he contributed pretty well by helping the team in winning the series against Australia in their own backyard. He was one of those youngsters who played an important role in the Indian team’s victory against Australia at Gabba where the Australians had been invincible for 33 years.
RCB certainly needs Mohammed Siraj to perform well in the IPL 2022 if it wants to win its first IPL trophy.
The former South African legendary cricketer AB de Villiers’ absence from the IPL 2022 has certainly disappointed many cricket lovers because watching him bat was a treat for the eyes. The former cricketer who was known for his 360 degree approach was associated with Royal Challengers Bangalore for around a decade and he played many match-winning knocks for the team which is still waiting to win its first IPL title.
Recently, ABD appeared on The RCB Podcast and talking about his journey with RCB, the former Proteas cricketer said that RCB is like a family to him and the 10-11 years that he spent with the Bangalore franchise were life-changing years of his life. He stated that just like any other family, this RCB family also has ups and downs, beautiful rides, some great relationships out of which few went sour and a little bit of everything. AB de Villiers says that he has no regrets and RCB has given him amazing years. Moreover, he calls himself privileged to play in the IPL, experience the Indian crowd and learn the way to do things in the Indian style for the last 15 years.
ABD says that growing up in India would have been really amazing but at one fell swoop, he also adds that he doesn’t think he would have got the chance to play for the Indian team because it is really tough to get selected in it and for playing in the Indian squad, a person really needs to be special.
AB de Villiers took retirement from the international cricket in the year 2018 and this year, he has made himself unavailable from the mega-auction of the IPL 2022 as he has made up mind of taking retirement from all forms of cricket. Though he expressed desire to play for the country once again in the ICC T20 World Cup, things didn’t work out.
Initially ABD played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the IPL and he was bought by RCB in the year 2011 for a price of US $ 1.5 million. ABD has played 184 IPL matches in which he has scored 5162 runs and in his IPL career, he has scored 3 centuries and 40 half-centuries. ABD’s highest score in the IPL is 133 not out and he has also carried out 13 run outs, 8 stumpings and 118 catches as a wicketkeeper.
Which player can replace ABD in RCB in your opinion? Let us know your views.
The Bollywood actor-producer Abhishek Bachchan turned 46 yrs old some days ago and the social media sites were flooded with best wishes for the “Dostana” star. Though Abhishek has given some really great acting performances in his career, the actor gets trolled a lot as some online users feel that whatever he is, it is because of his father and the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. What makes Abhishek Bachchan really special is the fact that he is a thorough gentleman and even after getting mean comments, he doesn’t act rude and instead replies in a very cool style.
Many old videos and news related to Junior B are getting shared by his fans and media houses on social media sites since then. One such video that is getting viral is from the times when Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appeared on one of the most popular international talk shows, The Oprah Winfrey Show.
During the show, the host Oprah Winfrey asked the Indian power couple about the concept of living with parents even after marriage and how that works. The reason behind Oprah Winfrey asking this question must be the culture difference between India and western countries.
In Western countries, youngsters prefer to leave the house of their parents as soon as they turn major or they are capable of taking care of themselves. In reply to this question, Abhishek Bachchan gave a savage reply as he asked Oprah Winfrey whether she doesn’t live with her family and when she replied negative, the “Guru” actor put across one more question as he asked her how that works. The audiences started clapping at the witty response given by Abhishek Bachchan. The video also showed the atmosphere outside the houses of Abhishek & Aish during their marriage and how their fans gathered outside their houses for getting a glimpse of the couple.
The Indian cricket team started the 3-match ODI series against West Indies with a bang as India registered a comfortable victory in the first match which was played yesterday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The hosts won the toss and decided to bowl first, the decision was justified soon as the Indian bowlers didn’t let the West Indian batters settle down and the visitors lost wickets at regular intervals because of which they were able to put up only 176 runs on the board in 43.5 overs. Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took the highest wickets among the Indian bowlers as he took 4 wickets and he was also adjudged as the Player of the Match for his superb bowling. Washington Sundar dismissed 3 West Indian batters, Prasidh Krishna took 2 wickets and Mohammed Siraj had to content with only one wicket.
In response, the Indian squad had a good start as the openers Rohit Sharma (60) and Ishan Kishan (28) produced a partnership of 84 runs for the first wicket. Though Virat Kohli (08) and Rishabh Pant (11) were not able to contribute well, Suryakumar Yadav (34) and Deepak Hooda (26) ensured that their team won the match easily. The Indian side won the match by 6 wickets with 22 overs remaining in their innings.
It was also the first ODI of Rohit Sharma as the full-time captain and he was praised not only for his batting but for his captaincy as well. Other than using the bowlers effectively and perfect field placements, Hitman was also admired for getting his all the three DRS absolutely correct. However, the credit for one DRS goes to the former skipper Virat Kohli, in the 22nd over of the West Indies innings which was bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, the ball nicked the bat of Shamrah Brooks and went straight in the hands of the wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
The Indian team appealed for the dismissal but the on-field umpire gave the decision as not-out. After this, Rohit Sharma enquired from Rishabh Pant whether the ball touched the bat or not and in reply, Pant said that he was not sure about ball touching the bat. Just then, Virat Kohli came towards Rohit Sharma and told him that he was sure the ball touched the bat and convinced the new skipper to take DRS. Rohit took DRS on the suggestion of Virat after which the decision went in India’s favor and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also made a tweet in this regard.
ICYMI – @ImRo45 : Kya hai? Out hai?@imVkohli : Mere hisaab se out hai.
, Mic & a successful DRS
DO NOT MISS: Stump mic gem – Virat and co. persuade Rohit to take DRS
The rumours regarding the rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also got quashed in this match as they both were seen supporting each other and Virat Kohli also gave his inputs to Rohit Sharma about the field placements.
The second ODI will be played on February 9 at the same stadium.
